The irony in all this is very few landlords or mortgage holders want to evict anyone from their homes because they can’t make any money from empty apartments or houses. The problem is the longer the moratorium lasts the more the tenants will increase their debts. There are a lot of jobs out there today where people could make enough money to pay their mortgage payment or rent.

This is the second time the Supremes said cease and desist to Biden. He'll ignore them again, channel his inner Andrew Jackson, and order the CDC to invoke the moratorium for a third time. And dare the Supremes to stop him.

I'd be fine with the moratorium on evictions if they also put a moratorium on mortgage payments for landlords as well as on property taxes. Let the banks and government get in on the suffering. At the moment, government workers (with the exception of emergency and public safety) have been pretty much on full time paid vacation.

The Dementia Dummy from Delaware will simply ignore the Supreme Court, like he did re: Trump's "Remain in Mexico" policy. However, if complied with, it will means people will begin seeking employment to pay back all the back rent they owe their landlords.

The Court's 6 to 3 per curiam opinion included: "Indeed, the Government’s read of §361(a) would give the CDC a breathtaking amount of authority." [smip] "It is hard to see what measures this interpretation would place outside the CDC’s reach," [snip] "This claim of expansive authority under §361(a) is unprecedented. Since the provision’s enactment in 1944, no regulation premised on it has even begun to approach the size or scope of the eviction moratorium. [snip] The Court concluded: "It is indisputable that the public has a strong interest in combating the spread of the COVID–19 Delta variant. But our system does not permit agencies to act unlawfully even in pursuit of desirable ends. Cf. Youngstown Sheet & Tube Co. v. Sawyer, 343 U. S. 579, 582, 585–586 (1952) (concluing that even the Government’s belief that its action 'was necessary to avert a national catastrophe' could not over come a lack of congressional authorization). It is up to Congress, not the CDC, to decide whether the public interest merits further action here. * * * If a federally imposed eviction moratorium is to continue,Congress must specifically authorize it. The application to vacate stay presented to THE CHIEF JUSTICE and by him referred to the Court is granted. So ordered."

I have never proposed impeachment of a Supreme Court justice - until now. The three liberals, by supporting the legality of the CDC stopping evictions shows that they see no limits to the usurpting of power from the Congress. Impeach all three.

Samples from early Wuhan COVID-19 patients show the presence of genetically modified Henipah virus, an American scientist has found. Henipah was one of the two types of viruses sent to China by Chinese-born scientists from a Canadian laboratory at the centre of a controversy over the firing of the scientists and collaboration with Chinese military researchers. It is not clear whether the virus found in the Chinese samples is related to the virus samples sent by the Canadian lab, which were shipped in late March 2019. The finding was confirmed for The Epoch Times by another qualified scientist.

For nearly two years, Americans have engaged in a great woke experiment of cannibalizing themselves. American civilization has invested massive labor, capital, and time in an effort constantly to flagellate itself for not being perfect. Yet neither America’s resilience nor its resources are infinite. We are now beginning to see the consequences of what happens when premodern tribalism absorbs Americans. There are concrete consequences when ideology governs policy or when we take for granted the basics of life to pursue its trappings. Who cares whether the blow-dried media is woke if it cannot report the truth and keep politicians honest?

The Taliban were removed from power in Afghanistan by US-led forces in 2001, but the group has seized control of the country once again following a rapid offensive. The capital, Kabul, was the last major city to fall to the offensive that began months ago but accelerated as the hardline Islamists gained control of territories. One of the most effective ways for the MSM to shut down an inquiry into misconduct is to say it is all a conspiracy theory. Besides avoiding an unwanted discussion, the charge also invites scrutiny of the "theorist" instead of the issue itself. Notice how quickly some even start off saying something like "I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but..." Expecting their reaction, we have become almost trained to do this. But are there really no big conspiracies? In a move no one can grasp, U.S. officials in Kabul gave the Taliban a list of names of American citizens, green card holders, and Afghan allies, believing the Taliban would allow them to enter the militant-controlled outer perimeter of the city’s airport. Lawmakers and military officials are outraged. The insane move was designed to expedite the evacuation of tens of thousands of people from Kabul by the August 31 deadline. It also came as the Biden administration began relying on the Taliban for security outside the airport. ISIS-K has since set up forces around the soon-to-be-renamed Hamid Karzai International Airport.
