Delta Air Lines said Wednesday it will impose a $200 monthly surcharge in its health plan to employees who haven't been vaccinated against COVID-19.
Following the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's full approval of the Pfizer COVID vaccine this week, the Atlanta-based airline is now taking a more hardline approach to vaccinations among its employees. It's the latest corporation to impose stricter COVID-19 personnel policies given the legal protections offered by the FDA's full approval of a vaccine. Chief executive Ed Bastian announced the insurance surcharge along with a number of other policy changes for the unvaccinated in an employee memo Wednesday.

Greedy fools. It’s the jabbed that will drive up insurance costs. Once again, denying science in the present day is a big business.

Also, the airlines have taken in tons of covid relief money, stimulus money during various economic downturns, you name it. Does their greed have any limits?

Delta can count on a permanent 20% decline in their revenue, as the unvaccinated will not be using their services.

If they are allowed to do this, then they can do the same for any type of risky behavior an employee might engage in - and the company gets to be the arbiter of what they consider risky. This is raw, naked socialism where your livelihood is the lever used to gain compliance.
This nonsense needs to be slapped down hard and fast, or we lose every bit of individual freedom we might have forever.

I’m avoiding Delta whenever possible. A screw loose is a dangerous thing.

Hugely illegal. What about flu, cold and shingles shots? Those maladies can be as bad as or worse than the Bat Flu. Delta employees should resign in groups right before major holidays and give this idiot CEO a dose of his own medicine, so to speak.

Simultaneously, the feds are putting Covid+ illegals on flights to disperse them throughout the country.
Nothing makes sense anymore.

Hmm. I think that they are union workers. How long before the union shuts down the airline over this?

So, what happens when Delta’s insurance rates go up due to those who got the clot shot being hospitalized not just for covid but for all of the side effects? Are they going to fine those people?

If we are lucky, the worst that will happen is the pharmaceuticals will make a bundle on a useless vaccine. Keep watch on adverse reactions, and how many people die from this. Only way to stop this is if the death toll gets too high.
Unfortunately it looks like we will all be forced to take the vaccine one way or another. Its been done in the past with things like polio. The precedent has been set.
Delta has no business collecting an 'insurance tax'. Mandates come from the government, not business. Wonder how many employees will leave Delta.

There is a certain amount of that there schadenfraud (however it's spelled). I know a Delta pilot in Park City who is an unabashed liberal. I'm sure he's gotten the jab, but how about all his sky goddesses who have to fork over tribute to the boss or have to quit serving drinks and packages of nuts to the unwashed masses?
As Yoda would say, "Out of hand, this has gottén to be."

#4, that's exactly what Obamacare did, by having the Federal government impose a fee/tax and force you to buy something (health insurance), and once they cleared that hurdle, they will now use similar tactics on all sorts of things going forward.
Delta likely runs into a problem with their union contract, as it's a negotiated deal, which will need to be re-negotiated to allow this additional $200 per month for union employees.

The no knee room airline has become a totally “knee jerK” liberal airline. There are other options and we will use them.

US companies will go after citizen employees because they can: no vaccination? IRS audit or denial of insurance or you're fired but those companies that employee illegal aliens and pay cash - no vaccination mandates for them.

Re they going to charge women a fine for pregnancy and childbirth expenses. Will they impose a fee for people who drink or are obese. Obesity is more of a plague than Covid and is self-inflicted. They cost more money to treat over the long haul. Never mind elective surgeries. They are opening a can of worms.

Time for massive sick outs to start calling in. They can't fire everyone.

Inject a risky shot you don't need and that does not work, or take a $2400 pre-tax pay cut/convenience fee. What a time this is to be an American, and no one's standing up for us. What's to stop them from mandating statins or anything else they desire? Why not a surcharge for black people who might get sickle cell anemia? Why not a surcharge for homosexual men, who cost a fortune in HIV drugs and anal reconstructive surgery? How about a surcharge for transgender people, who also cost a fortune?
