President Biden on Friday said he and Dr. Anthony Fauci discussed requiring COVID-19 booster shots every five months rather than every eight as previously anticipated. The shorter timeframe would increase the number of vaccine doses that the US will need to set aside for booster shots—as poorer nations clamor for more US donations. “The question raised is should it be shorter than eight months? Should it be as little as five months? That’s being discussed. I spoke with Dr. Fauci this morning about that,” Biden said in the Oval Office during a visit from Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett.

The hunt is on for the men who orchestrated the terror attack on Kabul airport that killed at least 170 people including 13 US troops, after Joe Biden warned 'we will hunt you down and make you pay'. Early suspicion is likely to fall on Khalil Haqqani, the self-appointed head of security at Kabul airport who has links to ISIS-K—the splinter group which has claimed responsibility for the deadly blast. Along with his nephews Sirajuddin and Anas, Khalil helps to run the Haqqani network which is designated a terrorist organisation by the US and responsible for some of the deadliest and highest-profile attacks

COVID-19 has temporarily taken out one of the lead generals of the KISS army—Paul Stanley—and by extension a concert for his foot soldiers of rock.
The famous frontman shared the announcement Thursday evening for disappointed fans who planned to see KISS play at The Pavilion at Star Lake in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania. “Everyone on the entire tour, both band and crew, are fully vaccinated,” Mr. Stanley tweeted. “The band and their crew have operated in a bubble independently to safeguard everyone as much as possible at every show and in between shows.”(Snip)Thursday’s bad news for the “End of the Road” world tour follows a similar announcement

Roger Garrison, the former sheriff of Cherokee County, resigned this week from the state judicial watchdog agency after a decades-old photo of him wearing a Ku Klux Klan robe and hood resurfaced. Garrison was appointed to the Judicial Qualifications Commission’s investigative panel on Aug. 19 by House Speaker David Ralston.(Snip)The photo, when it first surfaced in early 2012, received widespread media attention. After it became public, Garrison said he had no affiliation with the KKK and said he wore the costume to a Halloween party when he was in his early 20s. “I don’t deny it wasn’t stupid, looking back now, but there again I say

The Biden administration has cut off communication with the anti-Taliban resistance group the National Resistance Front since the Taliban took control of Afghanistan nearly two weeks ago, according to a report.
Ali Nazary, the head of foreign relations for the group, told the Washington Examiner that while he “tried to reach out,” they haven’t received any response from the Biden administration. “We don’t see an interest at the moment for the resistance,” he said, adding that the resistance’s hold in Panjshir, the northeastern province of Afghanistan, could have been used to keep those stuck in Kabul safe.(Snip)The lack of communication comes as the Biden administration grapples

The Pentagon now says only one bomb—and not two like previously reported—was detonated outside Kabul airport Thursday that killed 13 US service members and at least 169 Afghans. Army Maj. Gen. William “Hank” Taylor admitted during a press briefing Friday that there was only one ISIS-affiliated explosion at the Abbey gate at Hamid Karzai International Airport.
US officials had previously said a second explosion–believed to be a car bomb—occurred outside the nearby Baron Hotel. “I can confirm for you that we do not believe that there was a second explosion at or near the Baron Hotel, that it was one suicide bomber. We’re not sure

A one-person anti-lockdown protest in central Auckland has been shut down, after the police were alerted to discussions of a potential gathering on social media. New Zealand police said officers were on Queen Street on Friday after hearing a protest was being planned, but only one person arrived with the intention of protesting, Newshub reported. “Police have been in the area and have spoken to one person who arrived intending to attend the protest. Police spoke to the individual who was encouraged to comply with alert level four restrictions and chose to leave,” a spokesman said. They said they are continuing to monitor the situation.
