After swanky maskless party, GOP Rep dubs

‘unbelievable’ House mask mandate

A Republican House member is clapping back at Speaker Nancy Pelosi for her hypocritical requirement that all members wear masks though video surfaced of her attending a swanky event near her home in California over the weekend where she and nearly all guests were dining maskless and in close quarters. “Pelosi has decreed–she’s like the Gestapo, I call her a ‘Gestapelosi,’ m-m-k? Gestapelosi has decreed that members must wear masks or get fined. Then, staff members can be arrested and jailed. She is the Gestapelosi. It’s unbelievable that she’s doing this kind of stuff,” Rep. Randy Weber (R-Texas), a member of the House Freedom Caucus, said during a presser Monday afternoon.

It is entirely believable that she's doing this kind of stuff. The sooner our side realizes that this is who these people are, the sooner they will collectively grow a spine and start really fighting back. They should have been pelting her when she instituted her decrees over them wearing masks or facing fines, but all they did was complain. Ignore her mandates or throw rotten tomatoes at her when she's in command mode. That'll teach her not to throw around hypocritical mandates. Come on, House Freedom Caucus, you're the best we have. It's time to throw decorum to the side. Start the fight, and we'll back you up; we can't do it for you, though.

Pelosi is an insane dictator on the order of Joe Biden but is overshadowed by Joe's more outrageous behavior. She has done just as much damage in her much-too-long career as Joe has. The democrats need a good housecleaning on the order of an extermination.

Staging this maskless party event flaunts Pelosi's total disregard of her draconian mask mandates. The fact that the servers were required to wear masks just illustrates the double standard between the privileged and the non-privileged.

COVID has been a shining example of how liberals and leftists love to lord over others. The governor of Illinois declared that if his state's COVID metrics don't decline, "significantly greater mitigations" could be imposed in the state. According to the CDC COVID website, there were 20 COVID deaths in the entire state of Illinois yesterday and the 7 day moving average for new cases is 3538 - all out of a state population of 12, 587,530 (2020 numbers). If this doesn't illustrate the nonsensical nature of restrictions imposed on Americans I don't know what does: there were more people killed over the weekend in Chicago from gunfire than died in the entire state of Illinois (and probably the same due to auto accidents). We are witnessing the biggest theft of American individual rights in the name of "safety" that we have ever witnessed. Don't let them scare you into compliance: stand firm!!!

I just returned from California, where strict mask mandates are everywhere now. Grocery stores, restaurants, inside, outside. Went to a small bakery sans mask. I was denied entry. I asked if they had a mask to give me, was told no they don't have any. I walked away, irritated, found my mask in the car and said "forget it, I'm not going back in there. Ever." Not to mention wearing a mask for seven hours in three airports and on two flights yesterday. The second flight featured a very hard sell from the crew and captain about penalties for mask violations. I chatted with the flight attendant during the flight, and I mentioned vaccinations. She told me she wouldn't talk about that: "I don't talk politics with passengers." Maybe she was not vaccinated? Who knows or cares. She seemed quite wary of interacting with passengers as she served drinks and proffered the snack basket. I said "I see" and immediately returned to my seat and didn't engage with her again as it left a sour taste in my mouth. A mandate is not a law but it is when you are on an airplane. Driving was not an option, unfortunately, given distance and time. Back home where we have a bit more common sense and I can work and shop with no mask. Until they change the rules again. COVID control is a sweet, sweet thing for progressives. They revel in it. Don't think they aren't going to use it to steal more elections.

Our Empathizer-in-Chief has no clothes. The crisis in Afghanistan, mushrooming with the force and immensity of a nuclear bomb, is clearly a huge nuisance for President Biden. His demeanor this week is that of a sullen 12-year-old boy whose summer vacation has been cut short. He had to be dragged from Camp David to address the nation last Monday, and as the week went on he couldn’t believe this was still a thing. Irritation is his current mood. Not even gentle questioning from friendly Democrat George Stephanopoulos could elicit sympathy from Joe. In his sonnet "Ozymandias," poet Percy Bysshe Shelley tells of a traveler who comes upon a desert ruin that was once an ancient empire. All that is left of it are "two vast and trunkless legs of stone" and a sneering imperial stone "visage" half-buried in the sand. Etched on a pedestal are the words: "My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings. Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair." Joe Biden is a latter-day Ozymandias, with a tremendous thirst for power and a misplaced sense of invulnerability. But unlike the ancient royal ruler, it will not take eons for Biden's power to erode.

After four years of President Trump putting America first and gaining respect on the world stage, the American position abroad has crumbled. The Biden administration has wrought so much destruction that it is difficult not to despair about what the future holds. In no place is despair more warranted than in Afghanistan, a country being subjugated by the Taliban now that Biden has ended the American occupation. Women and girls who thought they had a chance for a brighter life are being thrust back to the Dark Ages and sexual slavery. And yet, even in this horrific time, there are heroes among us rising to the occasion.

In one fell swoop, the administration left billions of dollars of military equipment in the hands of the barbarous anti-American Taliban; broke the North Atlantic Treaty Alliance by bugging out without warning to its members who were in Afghanistan in support of our mission there; left as many as 50,000 Americans and tens of thousands more of our Afghan allies to the not so tender mercies of the enemy; and on Friday Biden lied about it all.

One of the most effective ways for the MSM to shut down an inquiry into misconduct is to say it is all a conspiracy theory. Besides avoiding an unwanted discussion, the charge also invites scrutiny of the "theorist" instead of the issue itself. Notice how quickly some even start off saying something like "I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but..." Expecting their reaction, we have become almost trained to do this. But are there really no big conspiracies?
