Psaki Bristles at Suggestion Americans
Are ‘Stranded’ in Afghanistan: ‘Irresponsible’

White House press secretary Jen Psaki labeled it “irresponsible” to say that Americans currently attempting to leave Afghanistan are “stranded” in the country, in response to a question from Fox News reporter Peter Doocy at a press briefing on Monday. “First of all, I think it’s irresponsible to say Americans are stranded. They are not,” Psaki said. “We are committed to bringing Americans who want to come home, home,” adding that the U.S. is in touch with Americans in Afghanistan by phone, email, and other communications. “‘There are no Americans stranded’ is the White House’s official position on what’s happening in Afghanistan right now?” Doocy countered.

Purposely qualifying recovering Americans with "those that want to come home" is a poor attempt at political cover that won't work. It also reveals they don't know how many Americans are stranded. So when Biden pulls out and the Taliban begin parading captured Americans on TV, he can say they never said they wanted to come home.

The White House operatives don’t have a clue how many US citizens are in Afghanistan today. Probably about half of whatever number of US citizens who are actually in Afghanistan today are people who are native to Afghanistan, who have lived in the USA for five years or more who applied for and were granted naturalized US citizenship. Almost all of those people are actually duel-nationals, who actually hold citizenship in both Afghanistan and the USA. Clearly the unsophisticated Taliban does not understand the concept of duel-nationality, that is also not enshrined in US nationality law, whereby an Afghan in the USA as a resident alien can pay a fee, sign a government paper, be given a US certificate of naturalization and then instantly be recognized as being an American. To the average Illiterate Taliban terrorist manning checkpoints around the Kabul Airport, those native Afghans holding US passports appear to them to be just Afghans who have collaborated with the US military during the US occupation of Afghanistan and under basic Islamic Sharia law deserve to be murdered. So they rip up their US passports and other documents. Then you have Afghans who are US resident aliens (green card holders) who returned to Afghanistan for one reason or another. Those facts and issues severely complicate the issue of the US being able to get all US citizens and alien residents out of Afghanistan. In any case it appears that the actual number of US citizens being transported out of Afghanistan is just a small percentage of all the Afghans who are being transported who have been classified as an Afghan who worked with the US administration or military in Afghanistan and are qualified for Special Immigrant Visas allowing them to be admitted to the USA, plus a new category of Afghan referred to by the Biden crew to as being “vulnerable Afghans” that seems to encompass the entire educated class of Afghans, all women and young girls, and for the first time any Afghan who claims to be a member of the LGBTQ community. No doubt if the Taliban allows all those Afghans to depart Afghanistan, they will all end up as “refugees” in the USA, because the US has no way to properly vet almost all of those unidentified Afghans to weed out criminals and national security risks as the US no access to Afghan government files and records to compare and search. So any vetting conducted at way points while those “refugees” are in transit to the USA will be an incompetent “good enough for government work” exercise designed to push as many of those “refugees” as possible into the USA where they will be released to liberal Democrat controlled and operated non-governmental refugee resettlement organizations (NGO’s) who are financed by the US Department of State and are paid an amount of US Government funds for each “refugee” who they resettle in the USA. The longer the US military stays in Afghanistan the numbers of Afghan “refugees” who will be brought to the USA will grow exponentially.

Nine Democratic “moderates” in the House are blocking consideration of Joe Biden’s $3.5 trillion spending extravaganza because they don’t trust Nancy Pelosi to keep her promises. Of course, they won’t come out and say it like that. But that’s the real reason they have delayed consideration of the budget bill. The moderates don’t trust Pelosi to keep her word on passing the bipartisan $1 trillion infrastructure bill that passed the Senate two weeks ago at the same time as the House agrees to consider the budget bill. It’s a delicate dance that Pelosi is trying to choreograph, with the radicals not trusting

On the night before Afghanistan collapsed, Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, and all the bigfoot Democrats were in the catbird's seat. Last night on Capitol Hill: Tensions rose as lawmakers returned for the evening session and a band of moderate lawmakers threatened to withhold their votes for the $3.5 trillion plan. They were demanding the House first approve a $1 trillion package of road, power grid, broadband and other infrastructure projects that’s already passed the Senate. The WNBA champions apparently do have time for losers. Even as thousands of Americans have been left stranded in Taliban-controlled Afghanistan, the Seattle Storm came to the White House for a photo-op with Joe Biden to celebrate their victory. The Storm are the first NBA or WNBA team to visit the White House since the Cleveland Cavaliers came in 2016. But their return to the White House came with an awkward, cringeworthy moment, when Biden, during a photo-op, bizarrely kneeled in front of the team as he showed off a jersey that read “Biden 46”. Was this simply a spur-of-the-moment decision? Or was Biden’s kneeling an intentional, symbolic gesture?

The failure of the U.S. mission in Afghanistan, though great, is of comparatively minor importance when compared to the manifest collapse of the Washington intelligence, diplomatic, and military institutions on which national and Western security depend. This transformed what was potentially a local debacle into a strategic crisis of the first order. The fact that no senior official was fired and the administration insists on characterizing obvious ineptitude as resolute excellence underlines, rather than belies, their delusional character. But it fools no one except a dwindling number of media hacks. We see you Joe — and so do the Taliban, the NATO allies, and, worst of all, America’s most dangerous foes.
