Ex-pats and western visa holders can't get 'anywhere near' Kabul airport today because 'huge crowds' of 'terrified locals' are blocking the way, MailOnline has been told, despite UK ministers insisting Taliban guards are letting people through checkpoints and planes are not taking off empty.Videos captured snapshots of the chaos as gunmen fired shots over the heads of panicked crowds while hitting people with rifles - as those on the ground said Taliban fighters were dishing out beating and lashings seemingly at random, with people being trampled and crushed in the throng. And what it would take us two days to send the 82'd Airborne in to secure the access routes? This is deliberate sabotage, not mere incompetence.

Afghan mother’s giving their babies to US soldiers, that means more “unaccompanied minor’s” coming to the USA! That disorganized process will be remembered as a big part of the Biden-Harris era.

So why didn't anyone fight to keep their country? They had 20 years to build an army.

FTA: "Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said he expects 18 US flights to take off today, though it is not clear how many people will be able to board each plane."
I was raised on U.S. Air Force bases, and enlisted in Naval/Marine service at age 17. I've seen a lot of military planes take off and land; as a school kid on SAC bases in particular, I used to marvel at how many B52s and KC135s could take off in a 30 minute period after the alert sirens went off. After college, I went back in as an officer and during my entire lifetime, when our top leadership wanted something done, our military rose to the occasion. With thousands of Americans in dire need of evacuation, if the most transport aircraft our current leadership can spare is 18 aircraft in and out of a country whose skies we've dominated for twenty years, then the real plan must be to run the clock and leave every man, woman and child to fend for themselves. If our CiC actually wanted to evacuate Americans, despite Obama's reckless but intentional 8-year degradation of our military forces and airlift capability, a degradation that was only partially offset during the previous 4-year administration, I have to believe the U.S. could commit 10x the number of aircraft per day, even if we had to make deals with commercial air carriers under escort by fighter and attack aircraft. For purely ideological/political reasons, the current administration lacks the will to protect Americans and allies that have been left at the mercy of the Taliban, which is worse than being at the mercy of Putin.

Want something even more ridiculous? The British ARE going forth into Kabul and rescuing ex-pats from their country, on a far more limited military presence than we have. But Idi Amin says we don't have the resources to do that.
What do you all make of that?

Yes #9 and truly indicative of our current D.C. establishment note that even former POTUSES including Bill and Barack’s buddy Dubya are not standing up with loudly protesting patriotic Republican Senate or House LEADERSHIP to do a darn thing about Biden and this evil bunch!!

Imagine being in the Armed Forces knowing you have the means to get it done & having to watch as it's not getting done.
In History & Human Nature those are the seeds that grow in the minds of those who look at the brass.
