A Trump-appointed judge ruled on Wednesday that a $1.3 billion lawsuit by Dominion Voting Systems against Rudy Giuliani, Sidney Powell and Mike Lindell may proceed. Judge Carl Nichols dismissed requests to throw out the junk lawsuit.Dominion Voting Systems is suing the Trump supporters for their accusations that votes were changed during the 2020 election. Dominion is under fire since the 2020 elections after the impossible “win” by Joe Biden. Newsweek reported: A federal judge Wednesday ordered that three defamation lawsuits of $1.3 billion each filed by Dominion Voting Systems be allowed to continue after allies of former President Donald Trump filed requests that they be dismissed.

Agree with #1. However Dominion and their customer AZ SoS have refused to turn over machines for examination.

Yes, Discovery.
Also, did Dominion destroy evidence? That can be a big one too.

Discovery should blow the Dominion case to smithereens. Yet they persist. And the defendants who have everything to gain from the truth coming out resist. Something doesn't smell right here.

Like many suits, they're not filed to "win" but to drain the opponents of resources. Wrangling over litigation costs $$$, motions here, motions there, and then there will be some settlement...
Can't wait to see that Kraken...

Maybe this will work to Trump’s advantage. “Let’s have an argument on the merits.” Dominion may wish this never started.

Now Dominion has to provide proof that Trump and Lindell lied. This may backfire on Dominion.

I really want to believe this is a very good thing.
Still, I now put the legal system on par with used car sales for integrity.

While dismissal would have been vastly cheaper for Lindell and his co-defendants, and also free of the risk of potentially losing 1+ billion dollars, holding a trial offers the potential of proving in court the claim of fraud. Of course juries can get it wrong but I'd opt for the light of truth. Get the evidence and pursue those who would commit election fraud.

And if Dominion prevails in this ...then what happens to the fraud narrative? This will drag out for years....long after the mid terms and the 2024 election.

Dominion is not going to push these suits. They cannot withstand discovery. From what I have experienced in these types of situations, Lindell will not receive anything but trash, no responses, or nothing, in response to his discovery requests. The suit will languish, the object being to break Lindell with legal costs. I suspect Dominion will be funded some way by the CCP, the Democrats, Soros, or others, so that is why they are speaking with so much bravado.

As stated previously, the big company will drag the litigation out forever in an attempt to drain the plaintiffs bank accounts and compel them to give up. If the house, or the senate, or the DOJ (Thanks Mr. Bagpipes), or the useless, cowardly REPUBLICAN state legislatures in several of the contested states had done their jobs, it would not be necessary for these individuals to risk their personal wealth and sanity. To my mind the uncontested irregularities revealed merited detailed investigation and a delay in certification.
So where is the fund to help pay their legal costs that the accused can use vigorously purse discovery and bring out the truth?
Finally if Dominion did in fact fraudulently change or cast votes or otherwise altered the vote, what are the penalties? And will the liberal Canadian government enforce fines or extradite any Canadian citizens found guilty?

I suspect that Dominion has planned for this for a long time, and has been scrubbing their computers with a brillo pad, so to speak, for months. Destroying all traces, they think.

"Oh, sorry, we routinely erase all that data every 30 days." is likely to be the primary response in discovery.
