Gov. Greg Abbott claims the Biden administration has caused a 'constitutional crisis' after the U.S. Justice Department sued Texas to prevent troopers from stopping cars carrying migrants. Abbott issued the statement after U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland announced that the Justice Department had filed a lawsuit over an executive order the governor signed on Wednesday. The Executive Order GA-37 tasked the Texas Department of Public Safety with stopping any vehicle suspected of carrying migrants and reroute them to their origin or impound them, claiming that they pose a risk of spreading the COVID-19.

The DOJ doesn't live in Texas. Ignore them and the rest and do what you gotta do!

What about the criminal aliens being hauled out in windowless trucks? How are the police going to know without stopping them? Being hassled by a crooked DOJ makes one very sceptical of the laws that come out of Washington.

Abbott here is the bottomline. You are the Governor and your first priority is the safety of everyone that lives in your state. You do what you need to do, even arrest the federal agents that do not comply with your law. Your state troopers have jurisdiction not federal agents. Hold them in jail forever like the Jan 6 people if you must. Stand up to Biden/Harris and show them who is boss. DO NOT BACK DOWN.

Let them sue while Texas does its job. The DOJ is a rogue organization that's acting outside the Constitution. Like everyone else has written, freakin' ignore them.

By allowing these ILLEGAL ALIENS to come into the country via TEXAS, the federal employees following orders from a mentally challenged JoeBama BiteMe who is out of control (with his wife zipping around the Olympics in Tokyo) are BEING TOLD NOT to do their jobs.
Many have come with Covid, but are sent into the interior of the country in overnight flights to fully infiltrate the system to break it down and forcing STATES to pay for food, housing, medical care, and education. Governor Abbott is protecting Texas and Texans calling out the Tyrant sitting in Washington by no longer going on with this charade.
Our National Security is at stake, and our financial soundness is definitely at stake. Useless RINOs (who call themselves 'republican' but VOTE like and with the socialists) stand at the ready to get elected in a YEAR AND A HALF to make hay off this, and unless the PEOPLE stand up, we will not see 2022 and "deliverance" to pick up the pieces of the complete devastation going on right in front of our faces.
TEXANS are the target of the socialists because they don't bow to DC, and if Texas fails, the nation falls.
Get Mark Levin's latest book AMERICAN MARXISM and see just how bad things really are and what can be done to resist this.

I guess we need to setup temporary weigh stations to check all the trucks traveling from the border. The State of Texas can stop and inspect any load coming in.

This is the nub - the Federal government is breaking the law and wants Texas to comply. Texas shouldn’t. Maybe we can get the border closed this way.

Biden administration is setting up a court case to try to give him total federal control. If it goes that far, we can only hope the Supreme Court has grown “some”.

Gov. Abbott, show us that you mean business. Use one of your F16's to force the landing of those 737's from Mclaughlin AFB loaded with illegal aliens. Treat it like the illegal human smuggling operation that it is.

Are the Texas jails and prisons already overflowing with trespassers and vandals, Governor? How many TXNG troops have you deployed and given arrest powers now? What's the FLA State Patrol doing? How many have been charged with any crime, Governor? It's catch and release...
To pull anyone over requires probable cause. If troopers are simply pulling over carloads of Hispanics, that's not going to fly. And when a truckload of illegals flees and is cornered, what happens to the "passengers"? Fact is, if even apprehended, very few are charged with anything. They're turned over to BP/ICE for disposal. The driver may be charged, if an American citizen. And there go his auto insurance rates!

#13 You may be right but we in Texas are pizzed that the feds are dumping hundreds of thousand of (infected) illegals into our state by simply not enforcing laws they swore to enforce.
If we lose a few to "probable cause" or "profiling" we will at least put a "hitch in their gittalong" (Texas language).

It's past time for Governors to do their sworn duty to protect the citizens of their states and RESIST. Place the N Guard at points of confrontation. Have them back the cops where necessary.
Show some backbone.

Tucker and the Mayors of Uvalde and McAllen already blew the whistle that the big TX NG deployment was no more than 500. Abbott has a force numbering 19K at his disposal. Many Texans knew when he did not cite the numbers, there was no video of them in action, no specifics on what they were actually doing and no reports by Abbott of PROGRESS being made that it was mostly a political gesture. Other states have graciously sent NG to help and we still have no clear idea where they are and what they DO.
My point is the vile DOJ and AG Garland are watching Abbott. They do not fear him at this point. Governor Abbott, make them fear you. Use every bit of power you legally can to protect Texas. We have your back.

Amidst all of the conservative "advice" and naked criticism of Gov Abbott, there's a marked absence of individual willingness to take any action to save their country, state, or lives except to offer more "advice" and criticism. Unfortunately the creatures of the Left do not suffer from a similar absence of action, nor do they suffer for overtly committing acts of assault, theft, arson, and murder, especially if they commit those acts openly as members of a group (mob). Could it possibly be that their very willingness, if not eagerness, to act - even with premeditated violence - insulates them from the federal, state, and local laws on the books? Even Chief Justice Roberts has implied as much.

the Constitution does not confer upon the
President the ``executive authority'' to disregard the
separation of powers by unilaterally waiving, suspending, or
revising the laws. It is a bedrock principle of constitutional
law that the President must ``faithfully execute'' Acts of
Congress. The President cannot refuse to enforce a law simply
because he dislikes it. Intentionally refusing to honor/enforce explicit Law passed by congress, refusing to honor, and arbitrarily/capriciously abrogating contracts entered into with funding, allocations, and regulations passed by congress violates the constitutional oath and duty of the Executive.
It also directly violates article four section four of the constitution,
"Section 4:
The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence." Currently the Texas Legislature cannot convene because Dems have fled the state to deny a quorum.
There is ZERO doubt that a million border crossings is an "Invasion", That 400-600 unaccompanied minors every single day(average school size in the USA is 528students, this requires a brand NEW school be built for every single days influx, at an average bldg cost of $5Million and an average annual cost per student of $19,000) is an invasion "Facilitated by the US Federal Govt".
Border Protection soooo lax that "even a child can do it"

The federal government is encouraging/supporting an invasion by citizens from around the world through the Valley of South Texas. It is becoming an act of war by our own government against a state. Texas may need to declare war on the federal government to get this to stop.

Clearly the leftist and socialist Democrat plan dumping untold numbers of foreign migrants (illegal aliens) all over Texas is to permanently change the politics and the future voter demographics of that State that has 58 electoral votes to the permanent favor of the leftist and socialist Democrats. If the Democrats succeed in turning Texas blue” by overwhelming the current “deplorable” Republican voter base there with foreign migrants who will be granted voting rights through Democrat designed “path to citizenship” rolling amnesties, who are mostly all poor, generally uneducated, who are easily manipulated by giving them “free” government money, and socialist oriented peoples from all over the world who the Democrats can characterize as oppressed “peoples of color” with any wimpy Republican opposition deemed to be racist it will be a spiral into long-term political suicide for the wimpy Republicans. What is going on now at the borderline and throughout Texas Is extremely important. As without the future chance to pick up the 58 electoral votes from Texas, the wimpy Republicans will not be able to win future presidential elections.
Essentially what the Biden Administration is telling America is that through their total failure to enforce the immigration laws passed by Congress, that they have the Constitutional right to change the population of any State upwards by simply opening up the borders and transporting unlimited numbers of illegal aliens to certain States, to then grant them amnesty and US voting rights through Democrat designed amnesties, and register them as “New American” Democrat socialist voters in numbers large enough to change the politics and voter demographics of any Republican leaning State to the great favor of the leftist and socialist Democrats.

Migrants are good, they follow the jobs and work harder than most people, invaders who want to take all they can get are bad. I am sure Texas is not looking for migrants. One would think an English org like Daily Mail would know the English language but of course up is down and down is up.

This is Civics 101. We can cut to the chase here real quick:
There are 50 states with 50 separate laws on their books and with 50 CEOs (a/k/a "governors") elected by the taxpayers/citizens of each state who, by their vote, empowered their chosen governor to enforce their laws. Period.
The Feds have nothing to say (See the 10th Amendment) unless the state law directly violates the Constitution. Period. This is why there are 50 different rules/laws applying to what constitutes murder, theft, rape, etc. within a state border. Also why there are 50 state flags, 50 license plates, 50 jail systems, etc.
This will prove to be a good test of state powers!
If the Feds want illegals here then the Feds need to keep them on Federal land and move them around on Federal vehicles with Federal license plates.

It is time to call a Constitutional Convention of the States, using the grounds that the President has with malice overstepped his authority and usurped the powers delegated to the States, and that the President is aiding and abetting a foreign invasion of the country for the express purpose of violating States' and. Citizens' rights as enumerated in the Constitution.

Criminal aliens and countless unknowns bused in by the Biden regime for how many months? Obviously planned well in advance and for what reason.? Have you seen the men on these buses?
Are these armed mercenaries that are being set in place across America?
Mercenaries ushered in by our military and willing to do to do "whatever is necessary" to so-called "terrorists", across the nation: the American people.
Dear Lord.
