The Capitol Cover Up

Judge G. Michael Harvey sounded floored. During a detention hearing this week for Robert Morss, arrested last month for his involvement in the Capitol protest, a federal prosecutor told Harvey she needed permission from the government before she could turn over to him a slice of video related to Morss’ case. Joe Biden’s Justice Department continues to seek pre-trial detention for people who protested Biden’s election on January 6; prosecutors want to keep Morss, an Army ranger and high school history teacher with no criminal record, behind bars until his trial can begin next year. But assistant U.S. Attorney Melissa Jackson hesitated when Judge Harvey asked to see the footage captured

Comments:

Even CNN has joined a group of journalists demanding the release of a tape in another defendant's case. The double standard here is appalling and I hope more judges demand the video footage.

Somewhere way down the line when this is eventually cleared up, these people being held for so long over something so minor will end up getting a big payout. Their civil rights are being violated in the worst ways and no one seems to care. Yes, civil rights are for white people, too.

Conservatives stand by and complain while citing the Constitution as these people sit in jail. Where are the "Free Robert Morss" t-shirts? Where are the demonstrations? Where are the blocked freeways and major intersections? Why isn't D.C. traffic in a snarl? The US Courthouse surrounded by patriots? Well, we don't do those sort of things and it might end up in our permanent records... More energy was expended agitating for the release of a veteran arrested in Mexico than for a veteran in the D.C. pokey.

This definitely does not instill confidence in government. I'm sure there are good, honest people who work in government (FAA comes to mind) but this pretty much confirms my fears that government can and WILL fabricate ANY case against me if it chooses to do so.

On the upside, there's no need to TELL American citizens that Democrats and the current administration threaten their freedom. The Democrat/Biden machine insists the 2020 election irregularities must stand without scrutiny, and yet it insists on controlling 14,000 hours of video surveillance of accused "insurrectionists." When government controls 14,000 hours of visual evidence, and is allowed to withhold it from the accused, whose interests are served?

100% of ALL the videos should be public. The problem, from the view of the Deep State lawyers is that the videos will probably show that ALL the four broken windows were done by one or a few of the antifa thugs who infiltrated the group. And if we ever get the videos, we'll probably find that the little bit of damage done was carried out by people not arrested, because they are Nancy Pelosi hires, paid to make things look bad, and just 'disappeared' from the records afterwards. This leaves the innocent, who damaged nothing, to be blamed and prosecuted for these pathetically NOTHING 'crimes', like trespassing and disorderly conduct.....and being held in jail for six months in solitary confinement when the maximum possible sentence is 10 days in jail and a fine. The real criminals are the ones with the suits and law degrees who work for the corrupt Deep State.

I was very upset at the way they treated the ranchers during the Bundy trials. This is the same thing, when they get away with this stuff they just do it again. The ranchers were not allowed to present evidence to defend themselves, they also were held in solitary and treated worse than enemy combatants. I was horrified that so many Americans bought the media lies about the ranchers. I was horrified that LaVoy Finnicum was executed while on the way to see the Sheriff in a neighboring county with a 19 year old gospel singer in his vehicle. This is exactly what is happening now.

With about a third of adults in the U.S. still completely unvaccinated, and cases of COVID-19 on the rise, the U.S. Surgeon General is calling for a war against "health misinformation." On Thursday, Dr. Vivek Murthy is releasing the first Surgeon General's advisory of his time serving in the Biden administration, describing the "urgent threat" posed by the rise of false information around COVID-19 — one that continues to put "lives at risk" and prolong the pandemic. Murthy says Americans must do their part to fight misinformation. "COVID has really brought into sharp focus the full extent of damage that health misinformation is doing," Murthy told NPR in an exclusive interview

The jailhouse accommodation for Ghislaine Maxwell is the most prominent example cited in a bail application for alleged Capitol rioter Dominic Pezzola, submitted to D.C. federal court Friday. Not only is Pezzola unable to "adequately" view the voluminous text, audio and video evidence held by the prosecution,

Vermont already has established an absolute statutory right to abortion through the ninth month, and deprives embryos and fetuses of any rights — whether or not in a uterus — which opens the door to their ready use in experimentation and as suppliers of organs for transplant. But that’s not enough, apparently. Proposal 5, passed in the Vermont Legislature in the 2019 session, would open the door to reproductive anarchy. Here is the language of the proposal (my emphasis): Article 22. [Personal reproductive liberty] That an individual’s right to personal reproductive autonomy is central to the liberty and dignity to determine one’s own life course and shall not be denied or infringed

Those of Joe Biden’s public behaviors that align with classic dementia symptoms are escalating. In the past few days, he strongly exhibited two symptoms: A type of belligerence that’s a cover-up for confusion and memory loss and a paranoid fear of those in charge of him. I used to spend a lot of time in the company of doctors. What always fascinated me were the tales they told of dealing with patients with early-stage dementia. The most interesting point they made was that elderly people, so as not to lose face or admit their own fears, are superb at deflecting the questions aimed at assessing their cognitive skills and memory.

It may be the most astonishing story of the year that no one is paying much attention to. As the Wall Street Journal recently reported on their front page, “Chinese officials are drawing up plans to further loosen birth restrictions and transition toward policies that explicitly encourage childbirth,” (emphasis added). According to Chinese insiders, China, the most populous nation on the planet, is replacing its brutish childbirth restrictions with a program allowing, and even rewarding, couples for having kids. Beijing has announced that its demographic problem today is too few young people, not too many. The New York Times put the point even more emphatically

The Republican-majority Arizona House on June 25 approved a bill that could mandate that school teachers share stories from people who fled communism as part of the curriculum. The requirement is part of House Bill 2898, which includes changes in laws governing K–12 education in the state. The language was inserted by Republican state Rep. Judy Burges, and states that the measure will prepare students to be “civically responsible and knowledgeable adults.” Public schools would be required to teach “a comparative discussion of political ideologies, such as communism and totalitarianism, the conflict with the principles of freedom and democracy essential to the founding principles of the United States” among other changes,

Something religiously astonishing is taking place in Iran, where an Islamist government has ruled since 1979: Christianity is flourishing. The implications are potentially profound. Consider some testimonials: David Yeghnazar of Elam Ministries stated in 2018 that "Iranians have become the most open people to the gospel." The Christian Broadcast Network found, also in 2018, that "Christianity is growing faster in the Islamic Republic of Iran than in any other country." Shay Khatiri of Johns Hopkins University wrote last year about Iran that "Islam is the fastest shrinking religion there, while Christianity is growing the fastest." This trend results from the extreme form of Shi'ite Islam imposed by the theocratic regime.

ROME — Pope Francis cracked down Friday on the spread of the old Latin Mass, reversing one of Pope Benedict XVI’s signature decisions in a major challenge to traditionalist Catholics who immediately decried it as an attack on the ancient liturgy. Francis reimposed restrictions on celebrating the Latin Mass that Benedict relaxed in 2007. The pontiff said he was taking action because Benedict’s reform had become a source of division in the church and been used as a tool by Catholics opposed to the Second Vatican Council, the 1960s meetings that modernized the liturgy. Francis issued a new law requiring individual bishops to approve celebrations of the old Mass

Cases of COVID-19 have tripled over the past three weeks, and hospitalizations and deaths are rising among unvaccinated people. While the rates are still sharply down from their January highs, officials are concerned by the reversing trendlines and what they consider needless illness and death.
