A cashier was gunned down inside a Georgia supermarket Monday simply for asking a man to put on a mask — and a retired deputy who intervened was also shot, authorities said. The afternoon horror happened at a Big Bear Supermarket in DeKalb, when the worker asked Victor Tucker Jr., 30, to mask up due to the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation,(Photos) Tucker refused and got into an argument with the woman before leaving the store without making a purchase, the report and GBI said.
The suspect then barged back inside and allegedly shot her in the head, authorities said.

Apparently no one told the cashier that the scamdemic is over and that masks are worthless in stopping a virus.

Masks will be the death of us. Long, pompous corporate email came out yesterday. Those with proof of vax can take their masks off June 28. The rest of us wear the yellow star. Makes you wonder how it will be enforced. Do they stop everyone, every day to produce their "papers"? Last week it was announced they were dropping the temperature screenings. Excuse me, but I'd rather know someone is trying to come to work with a 102 degree fever, than wear a mask all day. Still, a camera that records me with a 91 degree temp doesn't inspire confidence. Bone-headed. But at least we fly the Pride flag.

Only once have I been denied entry without a mask. Some weenie at a Wal Mart wouldn't let me in without one. I'd been going into that store without a mask for over a year, but apparently they got a new manager who was a screaming mimi. No problem. Their store. They can do what they want. I spent my money somewhere else and dont go there anymore, even though the mask mandate was lifted a few days later.
Didn't shoot anyone though. That would be a bit much.

#1, so the individual could not do what the cashier asked and now it justifies the loss of life?

I'm surprised this doesn't happen more often...the self-righteous among us seem intent on having everyone bow to their wishes no matter the indefensibility thereto. Put on a mask...doesn't deserve to die, maybe a scatological phrase or two.

What's the big deal here?
I can't tell you how many times people I know have been annoyed with a checkout clerk - - and then come back and shot him or her dead. Why pick on Victor, Jr. - - for something we all do?

How'd you like that, Karen.

I find myself almost wishing that my initial suppositions are proven wrong.

I have not worn a mask yet. When someone tells me to wear a mask, I don't argue or make crude remarks; I simply say, "No". If they insist, I leave.
Victor Tucker Jr. is an african-in-America, a combination of low intelligence and non-existent impulse control. He does not belong in Western Civilization. He and his kind are a net liability to humans.

I wondered as well #10, it's getting to the point where if there is no description you know. The normal sounding name made me really wonder, but here we are again.

What is wrong with leaving and going to another store to do business? [not shooting people is a very low standard of behavior to expect. Be interesting to see Mr. Victor Lee Tucker, Jr's arrest record, prior convictions, drug/weapons, felon in possession... still walking around loose, lather, rinse, repeat, etc.]
Where I live very few people are wearing those things, anymore. About 80 percent of us older folks are vaccinated and the only reason to wear one is to avoid causing trouble for some worker-bee who is being required to enforce his employer's stupid rules.

People are crazier about masks now than ever. But good grief, don't shoot anybody because you disagree with them. Just leave. There are other places to shop.

I've had a couple of run-ins with paranoid schizophreniacs and others with borderline personality disorder. Don't try to make sense of it. There is none. Stay far away from such individuals, and never provoke them. Sooner or later, they'll hurt you.
