Ashli Babbitt's husband is demanding authorities name the police officer who shot his wife dead during US Capitol riots - amid claims it is the same cop who previously left his handgun in a public men's room.Speaking to Fox News' Tucker Carlson on Monday night, Aaron Babbitt said he still hasn't been told which officer was responsible for fatally shooting his 35-year-old wife on January 6. The Metropolitan Police Department has so far refused to name the officer involved and the Department of Justice announced in April they would not be pursuing charges against the officer following an investigation. 'Somebody in DC knows, I think a lot of people know,

His name and photos have been all over the internet. Time for a public disclosure. Past time...

Why isn't Michael Leroy Byrd in prison for murdering Ashli Babbitt?

The early video (subsequently shown in only edited form) showed the little woman we now know was Ashli Babbitt, circulating through the men who were standing in the hallway outside the blockaded doors to the Speaker’s Lobby, a long inner hallway. One of the men had broken out the upper part of a large glass pane in one side of the door. You could see her ask a tall man to lift her up on his back. She was not about to go through that nastily broken out glass pane. One witness said she wanted to put her cell phone through it (to take a photo?)… Unless you saw that very early unedited footage, you never saw this because it had to be removed. What did we see of the shooter? The rapid launching of his right forearm and his black hand, holding a gun, from a doorway to the left of the blockaded door on the Speaker’s Lobby side. And that white and black beaded bracelet. He shot at a very close angle across the doorway and hit her in the neck. She was not climbing through the glass. Had she been, she’d probably have fallen onto the sharp glass edge at the bottom of the opening. It is amazing that he didn’t hit the man whose shoulders she was still on when she was shot. Where did he go?

Who says Washington can't keep secrets?
We never did find out the name of the impeachment "whistleblower" (you know, the flunky who got the info from the Pillsbury Doughboy Captain Oh Say Can You See)?
Nor do we know the name of the killer cop on Capitol Hill.

Robert J. Contee III is the Chief of the Metropolitan Police Department of Washington, D.C.
Start with this puke. He's part of the cover-up.

I saw early stills of the shooter, his entire body and face it's not hard to distinguish the man. He is wearing a suit with some medallion or ID pass around his neck he's also a 'person of color'. On his wrist there is some sort of colored bracelet. In the video when Ashli Babbett is helped into the broken window you can see the murderer's arm holding the gun you know it's his arm because the bracelet can be seen on his wrist. It's the same person in the chamber before he kills her. There was also controversy about him changing his clothing to hide his appearance after I have no clue about where the firearm ended up after the murder but he was part of the two other armed men with guns drawn in the chamber. This was a planned assassination to blame on President Trump and supporters if you ask me. The behavior is questionable about the arrival of the SWAT team and the man in the suit with a mask on rummaging through Babbett back pack like he's looking for something which turned out to be a scarf and sweater. The SWAT team carries her body down the stairs then she's hustled out on a gurney. People then walked in the blood pool and ignored the crime scene. It looked all planned and staged.

Aaron, it was David Bailey, the black capitol police officer. Since he was identified as the shooter, he had gone into hiding even though he will not apparently be charge with anything.

Why isn't anyone questioning the wisdom of shooting a gun, intentionally, into a crowded room? Ashli Babbitt was not engaging with the officer. She was not displaying a weapon. She was sitting on the shoulders of another person which would not be the best position to attack anyone. No one will ever convince me that genuine "Trump supporters" led any type of violence. Good people can get caught up in the excitement of a crowd, but wanton destruction in the The U.S. Capitol...nope.
What is the reason this wasn't investigated, out in the open, like any other incident? Maybe it was unjustified? Is it possible that they're not telling the truth? (s)

As far as I know, Ashli Babbitt didn't have a criminal record as long as an arm unlike George Floyd. Yet she absolutely died at the hands of a police officer for no reason. Unlike George Floyd.

#'s 8 and 9 - David Bailey is the name I saw as being identified as the shooter, never saw anything about the other guy. I also noted his shirt had French cuffs and cuff links.

If his superiors had had the fortitude to sack him for his first screw-up, this would never have happened.

The cop is an affirmative action hire. He's otherwise unqualified to do anything but commit murder, which he did.

Bailey was misidentified as the killer. Right away, the media said those reports were false. I have seen no “fact checkers” refute stories about Byrd. I think Byrd is the killer.

A Capitol Police Officer inadvertently leaving his firearm in a men’s toilet was a mistake. The apparent completely unjustified shooting of Ashli Babbitt who did not pose any real threat to the Capitol Police Officer who shot her, in most jurisdictions would be deemed to be a suspected crime, like an involuntary manslaughter. There is a difference.
If the Federal Government were to indict the officer who shot Babbitt, chances are he would claim that the shooting was an accident that occurred during a large scale disturbance that he was not used to being involved in. Once in a DC court with a liberal Democrat jury, it would be very probable that the officer, especially if he is a Black man as has been indicated in some media reports, would be found not guilty. You got to remember any such trial in DC would be considered to be highly political, and DC these days is probably about 90% liberal Democrat.

My bet is that Michael Leroy Byrd has been given a new identity and moved to a different city as part of the "assassin's protection program".
