Andreia Rodrigues left Sweden because of its COVID-19 response. Rodrigues, who had been living in Sweden for more than four years, decided to return to her native Portugal in March, saying she felt unsafe living in a country where the government had no rules about mask wearing, and where she faced abuse when she did wear one. (Snip) ''I have had people laugh and point at me, people screaming, 'You should lock yourself at home if you are so scared of corona,' people coughing in my direction and then laughing and saying: 'Corona! Corona!' "Sweden's health ministry doesn't recommend mask

Comments:

According to Worldometer Sweden ranks #33 in deaths/million. Not the best but much better than the US, UK, France, Italy, Belgium and many other masked-up countries.

With the now known view on the wearing of masks by the lying Dr. Fauci the 'cabash' might be put on the masks all together. I'm not wearing a mask to 'do my part' or to make another person 'feel' better that's not my job. Joe Biden still uses a mask and he received the jab late last year what's up with that bozo clown? I don't believe the pervert got vaccinated if you as me.

Did she ever file any complaints with the police regarding harassment? If not, then I do not believe her. The biggest factor for COVID was population density, and masks most likely did not matter. Sweden has a few large cities. If a person wants to wear a mask, that is their choice. If I saw a person wearing a mask, I would consider it likely they are health compromised and trying to protect themselves or are trying to hide their identity.

FTA: ''...Rodrigues /snip/ decided to return to her native Portugal in March, saying she felt unsafe living in a country where the government had no rules about mask wearing, and where she faced abuse when she did wear one. "I couldn't take it in Sweden anymore," she told Insider. She said her fiancé feared for her safety when she went outside in a mask.' That isn't funny - it's very sad. People can't judge risks unless their government tells them what to do.

Early in the pandemic (this is a true story) I walked into a hardware store looking for paint and hinges for a home-made tool box. Wearing a mask or keeping one in the car was not yet a habit. I wandered around just looking when a woman employee came up to me and heatedly complained about me not wearing a mask. Thinking fast, I told the woman "...you're wrong, I'm wearing an 'emperors new clothes mask' just new on the market." She had a perplexed looked, mumbled "sorry" and walked away.

Sweden had lower Chinese Virus rates because it didn't incentivize getting infected with COVID. In the States, there was big money for COVID. In reality, we probably have exactly the same numbers.

Please note that there are NO FACTS & NO DATA in the article just a litany of hurt feelings and vague statements. The poster noted that Sweden is ranked #32 for deaths per capital in the world, more factual information than the whole article had. Per Wiki and updated thru 3/June... Sweden has fared better than Belgium, Italy, the U.K, France, Portugal and Spain. While the U.S. is right behind the UK at 181 deaths per 100k, figure that 40% of those counted as Covid deaths are from falls, heart attacks, traffic accidents, falls fromheights, stabbings, poisonings and suicides (the last was suspiciously down in 2020 even though 40% of the restaurants in Michigan were put out of business, 8 million households slid into poverty, etc etc). at 60%, our percapita rate is in line with Germany and the Netherlands... where it should be given our health care system and even after we sent thousands of covid positive patients into nursing homes. I'm in Michigan and Home Depot, Kroger, Whole Foods all 'honor' the CDC dictat that fully vaccinated people can mingle without masks. Most of the people in those stores still sport them...but I've only met one Karen in 4 shopping trips.

The Biden administration knew the key to a successful Covid vaccination campaign would be reaching the most vulnerable populations. But more than five months in, even a blueprint that’s worked with other ethnic and racial groups isn’t doing enough to win over Black Americans. Less than a quarter of Black Americans had received their first Covid-19 shot as of June 7 based on available federal data, amid a weekslong stagnation that has defied the government’s ramped-up effort to accelerate vaccinations and reach the nation’s most vulnerable communities. The slowdown has put Black Americans behind the pace set over the past

Forty years ago, researchers described the mysterious cases of five gay men who had fallen ill with a pneumonia caused by the bacteria Pneumocystis carinii. Two of the five men had already died. That type of pneumonia usually affects only individuals who are severely immunocompromised, researchers wrote in the June 5, 1981 Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report. Scientists would soon discover that a disease that would come to be known as AIDS was devastating the men’s immune systems. Three years later, scientists pinned the blame for AIDS on a virus dubbed HIV, or human immunodeficiency virus. Margaret Heckler, the then

Twice-failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton weighed in on Republican state legislatures pursuing basic election integrity measures in their respective states, contending that it “shouldn’t be a partisan issue” to reject such efforts. In a Monday social media post, Clinton likened the left’s radical attempt to overhaul U.S. election — stripping states of basic election safeguards such as voter ID — to “preserving America’s democracy.” “Preserving America’s democracy shouldn’t be a partisan issue. But the fact is that Republican-led legislatures have enacted at least 22 news laws this year restricting access to voting,” she claimed alongside a map from the Brennan Center for Justice.
