The Population Dud:
Paul Ehrlich, Call Your Office

There’s an old saying among economists, demographers, actuaries and sociologists: “Demographics is destiny.” If that’s true, and it certainly appears to be, America could be in very big trouble. Back in 1970, leftist Stanford biologist Paul Ehrlich warned in his sensationalist book, “The Population Bomb,” that overpopulation would lead to mass starvation and the depletion of our natural resources. As we all know, it didn’t happen.

Seems like a lot of young couples just start having kids in their late 20s or early 30s. The fact that fertility rates decline (sometimes rapidly) by mid 30s is probably one factor. The best years to have kids have already passed by.

The Paul Ehrlich argument is a straw man. The point is, due to uncontrolled mass immigration, the USA is becoming a very crowded country. Excuse me for my selfishness, as I rather live in a country 330 million than 500 million. BTW, 330 million is a gross understatement because there are 40-50 illegals.

Paul Ehrlich wrote another book back in the 1970's called "The End of Affluence" which also had all sorts of doomsday scenarios... some appear to be taking hold 45 years later....

Social Security is a Pyramid scheme and was bound to run out of other people's money some day, its no reason to import unlimited numbers of 3rd world "workers". Suicide of the country is not the answer.

FTA: "...fewer people will also mean less farming and pricier food, a smaller number of factories, a decline of small businesses, and a reduction in homes. In short, a smaller economy, barring some sort of productivity miracle." What fewer people? Open borders is providing the country with cheap labor to support farming, for example. I have cousins operating a dairy...the farm grew from milking 60 head in the '60s on family labor to now milking over 1800 head at two sites. The labor is 100% Mexican. And that is prevalent in the industry. That "family labor" left the farm for college and "city careers", while one stayed behind to manage the enterprise that has incorporated several farms left by others who died or refused to grow. The hard fact is that White America is a shrinking demographic. Women were "liberated", took on jobs and careers, and they're not going back to "domestic engineering", which includes motherhood. Single mothers are celebrated. subsidized, heroines these days. No paeans for "Single dads". Relationships are more pliable than ever. Alternative lifestyles are very lucrative. Kids are an inconvenience, an expensive proposition. They cut into the funds available for trips to Cancun, luxury vehicles, and decorated homes/apartments.

The article mentions the bet Paul Ehrlich made with Julian Simon about future events; Ehrlich lost the bet. What isn’t mentioned is that Ehrlich never paid off his wager. So he was not only dead wrong, he was dishonest.

And yet, the globalists are trying hard to lower global population levels even more rapidly. Releasing a bioweapon, and then following it up with a "vaccine" which uses an entirely unproven new biotech method. And all three previous experiments with this type of vaccine resulted in 100% mortality in the lab animals.

The Biden administration is using the Jan. 6 incursion into the Capitol building as a pretext for a domestic spying campaign that will supposedly target “violent extremists” but is more accurately described as the beginnings of a Biden police state. Last week, we learned that the Defense Department plans to monitor service members’ social media posts for “concerning behaviors.” According to The Intercept, which broke this story, the plan is to enlist a private firm to do the spying, so as to avoid nasty entanglements with the First Amendment. The Intercept reports that:

Military officials are trained to stand silently on the sidelines of politics, saying nothing but what relates to their mission, whatever it might be. But a recent open letter signed by 124 former flag-level officers warning of the dangerous effects of our nation’s sharp sudden turn to the left overturns that tradition. What do they know that the rest of us don’t? The letter was not couched in military jargon or bureaucratese; it was plain-spoken and blunt in its concern about America’s course.

A number of retail chains announced last week they are not requiring fully vaccinated customers to wears masks in their stores. Not everyone was happy to hear the liberating news, though. Our country, once a bulwark of the strong and daring, is becoming a land of the fainthearted. Minutes after The Hill tweeted Friday that Trader Joe’s was no longer demanding that its customers self-suffocate, at least those who’ve been fully vaccinated, the scolds and skittish school marms took their shots before running to hide under their beds. “Not good,” said one, without explaining why it’s not good. Joe Biden was the first senator to endorse Jimmy Carter for president. Now Biden appears bent on recreating Carter’s disastrous presidency. The parallels are striking. What characterized Carter’s one-term presidency? Disasters at home and abroad. At home, the country suffered a self-inflicted energy crisis, with gas shortages and long lines. Inflation surged even as unemployment climbed, making the “Misery Index” a household term. Abroad, America’s adversaries sensed Carter’s weakness as Commander in Chief and the world was thrown in chaos – from the Iranian Revolution to the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan. Carter’s response to these disasters was to tell people to

More than two months ago, President Joe Biden, using a slur a Republican could never get away with, criticized the decisions by red state governors to lift mask-wearing mandates and reopen. He not only insulted the people of those states, he was wrong. So where’s his apology? On March 2, Texas Gov. Greg Abbot and Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves, both Republicans, not only lifted their states’ mask rules, they also killed business capacity limits. The next day, Biden, who seems to be as devoted to his mask as an infant is to a pacifier, felt it appropriate to compare Texans

When President Joe Biden declared that he wants all cars sold to be “zero-emission” by 2035, carmakers didn’t raise a peep of protest. Worse, they are starting to fall in line with promises to go all-electric, even though the vast majority of consumers don’t want these cars. You’re about to get hit with a huge tax. No it’s not to pay for the new infrastructure bill or the Green New Deal, which will cost trillions of dollars in new taxes, though they do play a role. Nor does it come from paying for the trillions of COVID-19 “stimulus” packages that Congress has passed, even as the economy roared out of its recession late last year. No, this tax is far more insidious than all that. It’s inflation. A tax that costs everyone dearly, rich and poor alike. Americans have gotten used to having little or no inflation.

In the run-up to the 2020 elections, we were bombarded with stories about Republicans who were not only opposed to Donald Trump’s reelection but were actively campaigning on behalf of Joe Biden. These Republicans didn’t just express disdain for Trump, they sang Biden’s praises, calling him a uniter, a reasonable centrist, an honest man, someone who’d reach across the aisle “to get things done.” Now, after Biden’s first 100 days in office, we can see how well those promises have held up. Our judgment in three words: Not. At. All.
