A juror in the trial of Derek Chauvin, the former Minneapolis police officer found guilty in the 2020 death of George Floyd, failed to disclose that he attended an event attended by Floyd’s relatives last year, raising questions of impartiality, according to legal experts. (Snip)One of the 12 jurors who deliberated at the trial, Brandon Mitchell, a 31-year-old high school basketball coach (Snip) told news outlets in Minneapolis that on Aug. 28 last year, he attended a march in Washington where Floyd’s siblings were present.
A photograph from the event showed Mitchell wearing a black T-shirt with a picture (Snip) emblazoned with the words “Get your knee off our necks,”

August 28, 2020:
Thousands are gathered in Washington DC to commemorate the 1963 civil rights March on Washington and in protest of police violence.
The families of black Americans shot or killed by police will speak at the same site where Martin Luther King Jr delivered his I Have a Dream speech.
Friday's event is called the Commitment March: Get Your Knee Off Our Necks, a reference to George Floyd's death.

The picture emerged when someone thought it was now safe to show it. So what other events did this juror attend that should have been disclosed? For that matter - how many other jurors shaded their answers making them appear to be impartial when they were really in the tank for the prosecution?

I don’t think Mr. Mitchell is a MENSA candidate. If Chauvin is given a new trial with different results a lot of the blame will belong to this loon.

no, no we don't seem to understand all of the increments of this story. this juror is entitled to do whatever he wants because he is in the protected class of United States citizens. we have lost our direction and the politicians are responsible for the erosion of our government and our way of life. there are too many vested interests and not one scintilla of duty to country, anymore.

The appellate court will NOT rule in Chauvin's favor. It would have in the United States of America under the Constitution but not here in the United States of Dominion under the Pretzel Logic Decrees.

Bravo poster #2... spot on... I'm so sick of the speeches and endless commercials on tv by blm... telling me how to feel and what to say... I refer them to my lawyer... who happens to be black...or my swimming partner ...who happens to be black...they are discussed by the rhetoric of the lefties just as I am....so you see...WE are united in our contempt of Sharpton... who lied about his origin and the rape charge brought against New York's finest police... and he owes WE the taxpayers millions in back taxes... who's gonna make him pay up...

Want to start to fix America? Enforce laws on perjury. This guy purposely lied and the cop accidentally got involved.

If the juror was arrested and convicted of lying under oath then the DC beltway would fill several football stadiums with the all the career bureaucrats and political elites convictions.

Mr. Mitchell, like other Democrats and "right thinking people" can perjure themselves in TV, in writing, in interviews, whatever, and absolutely nothing will ever happen to them.
The dual system of justice was cemented into US Law, when Hillary Clinton shamelessly and quite publicly destroyed her hard drives and other documents belonging to taxpayers, and absolutely nothing happened to her or her staff. John Brennan, James Clapper, Susan Rice, Samantha Powers, all flamboyantly perjured themselves, and no 6am FBI raids for them. FISA court documents submitted by the DOJ were tantamount to perjury and not a single thing happened to anyone. Oh yes, I believe, some FBI xerox operator was indicted by Barr's special counsel. But I'm sure, that criminal has gotten a big job with some law firm. Speaking of Barr's so-called special counsel, is he still working in that moldy, rat infested basement looking for evidence of fraud and lying in the Russian collusion case? Anyone remember his name? Durham, Doorun, Doofus?
So, Mr. Mitchell will get a big book contract and the new and improved United States Marxist system of justice will prevail.

Lenin said in the 20s the way to introduce socialism/communism in the US is through racial disharmony. Its a push for communism, nothing more.

I'm reminded of the John Grisham book, "The Runaway Jury," in which an activist finagles his way onto a jury involving tobacco use in order to influence the outcome.

The entire establishment hung (npi) Derek Chauvin out to dry. There was no chance that Chauvin got a fair trial. No sequestration of the jury. Lying jurors. Retry Chauvin. Move the trial out of Minneapolis. At worst Chauvin committed manslaughter, not murder.
