More than 500 federally funded scientists are under investigation for being compromised by China and other foreign powers, the National Institutes of Health revealed Thursday. The federal health officials told a Senate committee that they are fighting to keep up with large-scale Chinese efforts to corrupt American researchers and steal intellectual property that scientists hope will lead to biomedical advances. NIH has contacted more than 90 institutions about more than 200 scientists they’re concerned about, said Dr. Michael S. Lauer, NIH deputy director for extramural research.(Snip) China has targeted research throughout the economy from corn growers to cancer researchers.

Comments:

Our agencies, which themselves are working feverishly to destroy our national sovereignty and undermine our culture, are OK with this.

China got to where it is because of the United States. they were and still are a backward nation except for the fact that, like most communist countries, their emphasis is on military strength which allows them to dominate by force and not by example. we gave them a head start and then let them outrun us. very poor political leadership and I think it goes back to nixon and his initiatives to bring China into the industrialized, ie: modern, world. now the chicken has become the rooster who reigns by fear and dominant control over all the chickens in the coop. China's greatest is and always has been its people but fear of death and deprivation, which are aspects of life too many Chinese have had to endure have made them, not complicit, but certainly acknowledgeable to their dominant political overseers and repressors. it really is an exhaustive exercise dealing with the Chicoms AND dealing with their supporters within our own country and our own government.

Professors Martin Bazant and John Bush from the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology say the 'six foot rule' that encourages people to socially distance in public has no solid basis in science. They explained that the risk of being exposed to the coronavirus indoors is the same whether people are six feet or 60 feet apart, and that this risk is low in well-ventilated spaces. Bazant and Bush developed a model to calculate indoor exposure risk based on time spent inside, air filtration and circulation, immunizations, respiratory activity, variants and mask use. n the debate over whether one should or should not get the COVID vaccination, much has been said about the “science.” However, I’m not sure any encyclopedic knowledge of “science” is required to make this health decision. Simple statistical analysis should suffice to inform one’s ultimate decision. Statistics is primarily a study of probabilities. Fortunately, as regards COVID mortality rates, these probabilities are now known. That is, COVID mortality statistics broken down by age cohorts are now “known knowables.” For example, through statistics as of April 7, the odds an American under the age of 25 would die from COVID were 1-in-106,217.
