Goodbye to My Brother -- for Now

Original Article

Losing Rush has been tough. Until a few very long weeks ago, he was always in my life. Like other siblings growing up in the same home, we shared experiences that were exclusive to us. Our parents instilled in us -- and we thoroughly absorbed -- their Christian values: their love of God; their unconditional love for each other and for us; their belief in moral absolutes, of truth, of right and wrong; the paramount importance of family; the critical necessity of personal character and integrity; the value of human life; and the uncompromising duty to treat others with respect and compassion.

Rush said what we thought, he would educate us daily and it was 3 hours of "do not miss" radio. I miss him very much, his brother's tribute was beautiful. El Rushbo, MaHaRushie simply the best.

What a touching a d beautiful tribute, as only a brother could give. I miss Rush every day and love still hearing his words of wisdom. So much of what he said still rings true. Truth never changes, and Rush will never be forgotten! Sincere condolences to Kathryn, Rush’s family and all of us who miss him. Thank you for continuing the EIB Network!

This brought tears to my eyes. I find myself thinking every single day when I read the news, wonder what Rush would have to say about this? I miss him, his wisdom, his brilliant knowledge of how the left thinks, and most of all his humor. My sympathy to David and his family on the loss of his beloved brother.

David's heart will go on as mine did with losing my big brother 2 years ago. How America will go forward from losing The Voice Of America is yet to be known. Will be hard to tune the dial to our local WHIO and hear someone new on his time slot. Announcements began yesterday that Mark Kaye takes over 12-3 daily beginning Mon, Apr. 12.

I cherish the times I was a caller on Rush's show. I was nervous beyond description. I also cherish my chat with the late great Tony Snow from early July, 1996(?). Hillary was full speed with hillarycare. I wanted to know if hillarycare was in violation of the RICO Act as it was an interstate attempt to interfere with the commerce of (medical & related vendors) businesses. There months later, hillarycare dissappeared.

Rush was everything good to me. He was a bright, optimistic, beaming ray of sunshine I'd looked forward to every day for decades. He never displayed a condescending attitude toward callers who disagreed with him. He was funny, wise, consistently civil, compassionate and charitable. He was articulate in a special and understandable way. He will never be replaced by anyone even close to his many talents and endearing characteristics. His voice was 'golden' to me. I will think of him hundreds of times in future days, months and years. Rush holds a very special place deep in my heart. He always has and always will.

All the deserved tributes aside, it is time that the show and website move on. It is starting to get weird having the late Rush comment on current events. It is time to get a new permanent host understanding no one will ever replace him.

What a beautiful tribute to a great American hero we all loved and now miss so much. I was thinking about David just yesterday wondering how he was holding up and this article addressed that perfectly. My warmest condolences to you David. After perusing my favorite morning sites and scanning the bad and ugly news, I thought imagine what would Rush say about what is happening right now. He gave us the truth and comforted us in a way only Rush could do. How we miss him. Rest in peace dear Rush.

Echoing other contributors, Rush is sorely missed. He had perfected the art of teaching us how to look at an issue, how to discern truth from fluff, None can approach his level of communicating, but it remains a worthy goal for other show hosts to aspire to.

By now, everyone recognizes Dr. Anthony Fauci. The director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases is one of the most cited immunology researchers of all time and unquestionably one of the most acclaimed.[snip] However, our elected representatives, the public and the media misunderstand his focused role and even his expertise as a scientist.
