Biden’s farcical infrastructure bill

There is widespread support for using federal money to improve the nation’s infrastructure. Donald Trump favored doing so, but never put forth legislation. Now, Joe Biden has unveiled an infrastructure bill of sorts. Unfortunately, his proposal is so bad that even the Washington Post has noticed. The first problem with Biden’s bill is that it isn’t much about infrastructure. The Post reports: Many economic experts agree that significant investments in roads, bridges and other infrastructure is necessary for the country’s long-term health, and spending when interest rates are this low is a wise idea. But some were surprised to see that only about 5 percent of the bill

Similar to the infrastructure bill of goods we were sold during Bambi's reign. Remember the "shovel ready "jobs that turn out to be not so "shovel ready"?

This bill is another repeat of the Won and Biden's previous bill which resulted in failures everywhere. Infrastructure was nothing more than paying for road signs. The bulk goers for the new Green Deal and shutting down fossil fuels. Is everyone going to pay $.21/kw hour?

Those who are surprised that the bill is loaded with pork and special interests do not know much about democrats. It's the only way they can extort money from the majority, by renaming everything to make it sound useful. The Affordable Health Care Act. For the People. Covid-19 Relief. Every major bill is a democrat scam and Congress either falls for it every time or gets a piece of it for their pet causes. Schumer and Pelosi didn't even try to hide the money going to their failed states.

At least four people, including a child, were killed Wednesday night in a shooting at a business complex in Orange, California, CBS Los Angeles reports. The suspect and another person were taken to a hospital in unknown condition. The Orange Police Department responded to reports of shots fired at around 5:30 p.m. and located multiple victims when officers arrived. The identities of the four victims have been released. Authorities told CBS Los Angeles that an officer-involved shooting also occurred and that a suspect was taken into custody.

Changing America

There are 10 new ideas that are changing America, maybe permanently. 1) Money is a construct. It can be created from thin air. Annual deficits and aggregate national debt no longer matter much. Prior presidents ran up huge annual deficits, but at least there were some concessions that the money was real and had to be paid back. Not now. As we near $30 trillion in national debt and 110 percent of annual GDP, our elites either believe permanent zero interest rates make the cascading obligation irrelevant, or the larger the debt, the more likely we will be forced to address needed income redistribution. 2) Laws are not necessarily binding

New York City high schoolers used to pack heat as often as they packed lunch. This month, more than 100,000 city public school kids walked out to protest gun violence — but last century some students attended class armed with their rifles and practiced shooting on school grounds. Many of the city’s public high schools had shooting clubs and a few even had gun ranges on their premises, according to accounts from the Department of Education and others. There were at least three shooting ranges in public schools, the DOE said, including Curtis HS on Staten Island and Erasmus Hall HS in Brooklyn. Another inside Far Rockaway HS in Queens

In 2018, Democrats, the press, and the political world rose up nearly as one to condemn then-President Donald Trump's brief policy of separating children and parents detained while illegally crossing the U.S.-Mexico border. The uproar was at times hysterical, with overwrought commentators comparing the Trump policy to Nazi Germany. On June 16, 2018, for example, General Michael Hayden, the former CIA director and one of the most irresponsible voices of the anti-Trump Resistance, tweeted a photo of the Birkenau concentration camp with the message, "Other governments have separated mothers and children." Hayden was far from alone in his intemperance.

I don’t know about you, but I turn to science fiction and fantasy to escape America’s politicized outrage culture, not to look for it. I’ve long been a fan of Star Wars, The Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, The Avengers, and — more recently — The Expanse. Each of these franchises has political elements, of course, but none of them comment on current hot-button issues. They focus, instead, on more eternal themes. Yet wokeness is increasingly smuggling its way into the fiction I enjoy so much. Marvel is planning to insert LGBT characters, and the Star Wars: Aftermath books did so, too. The Associated Press reported just over a week ago that Premiere Networks, the syndicator who spread the late Rush Limbaugh’s booming voice across the fruited plain, has announced that it isn’t changing course anytime soon. Premiere Networks, the company that syndicated Limbaugh’s afternoon program to some 600 radio stations across the country, said Monday that it would continue airing a series of guest hosts that play archival audio footage of the late personality. Limbaugh died of cancer on Feb. 17. “No one can replace Rush Limbaugh, and Premiere Networks will continue to provide millions of loyal listeners with the voice of Rush for the long term,” said Rachel Nelson, company spokeswoman.

State Representative James White, a Republican who represents District 19 in Texas, has submitted a comprehensive bill to eliminate critical theory’s primary components from schools in the state. The bill has left the committee and had its first reading on the floor. It specifies civics instruction guidelines that include using the founding documents and other significant pieces as required lessons. The bill also prevents teachers from being pressured into teaching contentious current events and requires presenting both sides of political issues if they do cover them. Perhaps just as important, the proposed changes prohibit state agencies, school districts, teachers, and administrators in Texas from taking any private funds for

Overreach in haste, “splinter” at leisure? It’s been mighty quiet lately on the so-called For The People Act, the massive bill that would federalize election jurisdiction and end voter-ID requirements. Until now, Joe Manchin and the filibuster appeared to be the Democrats’ only obstacles, but the New York Times reports that other Senate Democrats might also be peeling away: Democrats in Congress are quietly splintering over how to handle the expansive voting rights bill that they have made a centerpiece of their ambitious legislative agenda, potentially jeopardizing their chances of countering a Republican drive to restrict ballot access in states across the country.

The CEO of Delta Airlines is now calling Georgia’s new voting law “unacceptable”. This is a 360-degree reversal of a statement released last Friday by the company, headquartered in Atlanta. That was then, this is now. There is no other way to look at a statement released today by Delta Airlines CEO Ed Bastian but to see it as a massive cave to angry Democrats looking to drive a wedge between Georgia voters. The bill, SB 202, was signed into law last Thursday. The next day, Bastian was taking credit for working with other Atlanta-based corporations to make sure that “some of the most egregious measures” were taken out

Can we tell a baby’s gender at birth? After untold millennia of human experience — and the emergence of “gender reveal party” industry to the contrary — CNN’s news section informs us that we should believe them rather than our own lying eyes. In a report on South Dakota governor Kristi Noem’s executive order barring transgendered biological males from competing in women’s sports, Devan Cole insists that telling “gender identity” is impossible at birth: Though the two executive orders signed by Noem do not explicitly mention transgender athletes, they reference the supposed harms of the participation of “males” in women’s athletics — an echo of the transphobic claim

MADISON, Wis. — The Wisconsin Supreme Court struck down Democratic Gov. Tony Evers’ statewide mask mandate Wednesday, stripping the governor of one of his last remaining tools to curb large-scale spread of COVID-19 as the state stands on the precipice of another surge in infections. The conservative-leaning court ruled 4-3 that Evers violated state law by unilaterally issuing multiple emergency orders to extend the mandate for months. The court found Evers needed legislative approval to issue more orders after the initial 60-day mandate he issued in August expired. “The question in this case is not whether the governor acted wisely; it is whether he acted lawfully.

It's really hard to pinpoint the main reason behind the disastrous state of our country but the cold hard fact is that many Americans have fallen for two of the biggest hoaxes perpetrated by the left , the media and corrupt politicians. It's too simple to blame the voters of any particular party when the main culprits are the individuals who just can't be bothered with politics. They don't want to get involved so they don't vote yet they complain when their taxes go up or their civil rights are taken away

The CEO of Georgia-based Delta Air Lines said Wednesday that the state’s new election law overhaul is “unacceptable” and “based on a lie,” after the company faced criticism that it didn’t speak out forcefully enough in opposition to the bill when it was being considered by the state’s Republican leaders. Cities such as Los Angeles, Minneapolis, New York City, Portland, Ore., and Austin, Texas, have shifted funds from police departments to social services programs. Such cuts have led some departments to lay off officers, cancel recruiting classes or retreat from hiring goals.
