The disgrace that was the
Biden press conference

President Biden called on 10 reporters to answer 30-some questions during his long-awaited first formal press conference on Thursday. But the hour-plus event was a disgrace for some in the press and a dubious performance by the president. The questions for the president were meek and vague, failing to extract any specific information about policies or solutions to the myriad problems faced by the administration. Take, for example, this activism disguised as a question from PBS's Yamiche Alcindor on why the president needs to abolish the filibuster in the name of racial equality while combating evil Republicans in their efforts to prevent minorities from voting. Or something like that.

Concha’s frequent appearances on Fox are a welcome addition. We are selective Fox-watchers, recording only a few programs for watching (and editing) later. The programs we select are those where there is outspoken disagreement with what is happening - Harris Faulkner, Kudlow, Tucker, Gutfeld and Watter’s World. Mark Levin.

My very leftist and extremely politically active brother and a big fan of Dementia Joe-- he, my brother that is, thinks he is a moderate LOL, maybe compared to Stalin -- complained on his Twitter feed that the press failed to ask any questions about Covid. Who did he think was in charge of the pre-screened questions? He is right, though, about the patheticness of the WH press corps. If the press had any journalistic integrity, they would collectively and loudly boycott pre-screened "press conferences ".

Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador asserted that the Biden administration’s immigration policies have contributed to a surge of migrants that has overwhelmed facilities at the southern border in recent weeks. President Biden reversed several Trump-era immigration measures, loosening restrictions for asylum claimants and ending a policy that required migrants to remain in Mexico while making their case to enter the United States. Lopez Obrador said the changes prompted migrants fleeing harsh conditions in Central America to risk the journey to the border.

The Biden administration continues to show itself to be an empty suit on foreign policy. In the wake of the crisis, er, challenges on the southern border, Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez called Biden “the migrant president.” After President Biden confirmed in an interview that yes, Russian President Vladimir Putin is a “killer,” Putin wished Biden good health and challenged Biden to a “basically live … open, direct discussion.” Add China to the list of countries making us a laughingstock.

The left is starting to turn on President Biden over a lack of transparency regarding the crisis along the Mexican border, while other liberals are peeved he hasn’t conducted a formal press conference two months after taking office. The Daily Beast quoted a "veteran White House correspondent" Sunday who anonymously trashed the Biden administration for not holding a formal press conference yet. “It’s a problem," the unnamed correspondent said. "Who are we kidding here? More than two months without a press conference? Come on!"

Fox News confirmed Sunday that Border Patrol agents in the Rio Grande Valley Sector (RGV) have begun to process and release illegal border crossers who claim asylum without issuing a Notice to Appear (NTA) - allowing them to depart custody without scheduling a court date for a hearing. The unprecedented move places the responsibility of seeking an asylum hearing on the migrants through Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) or legal assistance. Multiple Border Patrol agents confirmed the new process to Fox News, revealing that they have been directed to use prosecutorial discretion (PD) to forgo the hours-long process of paperwork required to issue an NTA amid the surge of migrants
