Officials like Fauci have undermined trust

We now have several COVID vaccines. All work, all have passed safety testing, and all are in wide distribution. This is a huge accomplishment, but there’s one problem: A lot of people aren’t taking the shot. Are they just ignorant anti-vaxxers? No. As a recent focus group by Frank Luntz, reported in The Washington Post, demonstrates, a lot of people who won’t take the vaccine aren’t skeptical about vaccines in general. Just about this batch. So maybe they’re just Red State Luddites? No. In fact, it’s a worldwide phenomenon.

"We now have several COVID vaccines. All work, all have passed safety testing..." _Passed_ "safety testing???? really? Like in safe enough to only kill a few, sicken more and be legislatively exempted from liability? Safe as in backed by trials spanning more than a year or two? And the new York Post wants to talk about Fauci and trust...

Fauci, everything we have come to expect from years of goobernment employment. He didn't undermine trust. He simply reminded us how 'trust worthy' goobernment is.

I never trusted the government very much. That little bit of trust is now entirely GONE. I don't trust those lying, thieving Swamp Corruptocrats at all any more.

Fauci has made only one statement that is true in over a year, and that is masks don't work. Everything after that, he's lied through his teeth.

Too many questions about all the vaccines, and the rapidity of the production is just one. I am more concerned that these vaccines haven't had an additive put in that will make it easier for the next virus to target the taker. And we know there will be a next time. This isn't going to stop.

Why bother to get vaccinated? You'll still have to double-mask after being vaccinated anyhow, and all this for a simple variant of the seasonal flu?

Everyone in my family has had the vaccine with no problems. My sister has a weakened immunity system due to chemotherapy and we want to keep her safe. The 16 year old has Type 1 juvenile diabetes and some of the others are older or work in the health care industry. Everyone is doing great and continue wearing a mask at this time, the state is pretty much open.

The United States was founded on a mistrust of government and its institutions. That's why there are three co-equal branches in the Federal system to oversee one another. It's why there is civilian control of the military. It's why it takes the executive's signature to approve laws passed by the legislature. So, why should anyone trust government and its institutions ever? Do so at your own risk.

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi celebrated the Communist Party’s alleged conclusion of “the days when a few Western powers could wantonly interfere in China’s internal affairs” in a meeting with Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov on Tuesday. Tuesday was the fourth day since a meeting between Wang and American diplomats in which the Chinese berated the Americans for alleged racism and human rights abuses. The meeting — which, in addition to Wang, featured top Politburo member Yang Jiechi, American Secretary of State Antony Blinken, and American National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan — occurred in Anchorage, Alaska, which Chinese state media and the Foreign Ministry complained was cold and inhospitable

According to an explosive report from The Washington Examiner, one of the nation’s largest health insurance providers actively discriminates against white males in hiring and pushes Marxist critical race theory on its staff. Cigna reportedly urges staff to check various kinds of “privilege,” to avoid using terms like “Wives/husband,” and to read books that claim America is systemically racist. In a statement to PJ Media, Cigna condemned racism and discrimination and insisted its positions were open to qualified applicants, regardless of race. The company did explicitly deny using racial quotas or address claims about its training materials. “Given the hiring practices they have in place

As we noted at some length around the time the 1619 Project debuted, some of the strongest criticism of it came from the World Socialist Web Site, which sees identity politics as a hindrance to old-fashioned, orthodox Marxist class-conscious revolution. And they might be on to something here. It really is tempting to see the whole domain of identity politics as a right-wing plot to get the left to commit ritual purity suicide. (Do I really mean this? To quote Francis Urquhart in the original—and best—House of Cards: “You might very well think so; I couldn’t possibly comment.

As RedState reported yesterday, ten people were shot and killed in a grocery store yesterday in Boulder, CO. Details have been sparse up until this point as is typical in these situations. But now, we have a name, and it nukes just about every prior predominant media narrative surrounding the shooting. There are few different spellings going around via various reports, but they are all trying to convey the same thing. I hope you have a neck brace on because you are about to have whiplash from how quickly the news outlets that have been speculating this was “white supremacy” change their tune.

No, I hadn't see this news item late last week, about George Bush suddenly not "owing" another president his "silence," in his string of lip-curdling insults directed at President Trump.
