Ten people were killed, including a police officer, in a mass shooting at a supermarket in Boulder, Colorado. Officer Eric Talley, who was one of the first to respond to the scene, was killed in action. Boulder Police Chief Maris Herold grieved the fallen officer, saying that Talley was “killed trying to save the lives of others.” The identities of the other nine victims have not yet been released, pending notification of loved ones. The 51-year-old police officer joined the force in 2010. Homer Talley, the fallen officer’s father, told ABC in a statement that his son “took his job as a police officer very seriously.”

FTA: "He Loved His Kids and His Family More Than Anything" One doesn't go to the sound of the guns to protect the lives of fellow citizens unless the love of God is way up there on the priority list.

Joe Biden is scheduled to finally have a press conference tomorrow. No doubt there will be efforts on the part of the White House to head off any issues and limit the damage, perhaps even limiting who gets to ask questions/calling on more friendly reporters. But at this point, he’s delayed their ability to have real questions on a host of issues, they’re not happy and he’s set it for a day where they’re going to be asking a ton of questions about the border crisis. Now that might explain why he appointed Kamala Harris today to take over the border, so tomorrow he can say, “Ask her.”

Joe Biden sold the American people a bill of goods in 2020. He is not a moderate, and he will make his mark no matter what damage it does to our institutions, traditions, or country. Biden is not even a Trojan horse for the radical Left. He is leading the charge to transform the country. Remember how Joe Biden pushed back on Kamala Harris in a debate? Biden said he had no executive authority to ban assault weapons, and that there were many limits on changes using that tool. Compare that to the statement of Press Secretary Jen Psaki this week: “We are considering a range of levers, including

ALBANY — High-level members of the state Department of Health were directed last year by Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo and Health Commissioner Dr. Howard Zucker to conduct prioritized coronavirus testing on the governor's relatives as well as influential people with ties to the administration, according to three people with direct knowledge of the matter. Members of Cuomo's family including his brother, his mother and at least one of his sisters were also tested by top health department officials — some several times, the sources said. The medical officials enlisted to do the testing, which often took place at private residences, included Dr. Eleanor Adams, an epidemiologist who graduated from Harvard Medical School

There is no Biden administration. Officially, it’s the Biden-Harris administration, and federal agencies have been instructed to include Kamala Harris’s name in a directive sent to all federal agencies from “a top White House communications team member.” “Please be sure to reference the current administration as the ‘Biden-Harris Administration’ in official public communications,” read the directive, which was provided to Outspoken by “an employee of a federal government agency.” And yes, “Biden-Harris Administration” was in bold in the email. According to Outspoken, The highly specific language also appears on the websites of all 15 executive departments.

In July of 2019, a truly bizarre series of events unfolded around California’s Channel Islands. Over a number of days, groups of unidentified aircraft, which the U.S. Navy simply refers to as ‘drones’ or 'UAVs,' pursued that service's vessels, prompting a high-level investigation. During the evening encounters, as many as six aircraft were reported swarming around the ships at once. The drones were described as flying for prolonged periods in low-visibility conditions, and performing brazen maneuvers over the Navy warships near a sensitive military training range less than 100 miles off Los Angeles. The ensuing investigation included elements of the Navy, Coast Guard, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi celebrated the Communist Party’s alleged conclusion of “the days when a few Western powers could wantonly interfere in China’s internal affairs” in a meeting with Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov on Tuesday. Tuesday was the fourth day since a meeting between Wang and American diplomats in which the Chinese berated the Americans for alleged racism and human rights abuses. The meeting — which, in addition to Wang, featured top Politburo member Yang Jiechi, American Secretary of State Antony Blinken, and American National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan — occurred in Anchorage, Alaska, which Chinese state media and the Foreign Ministry complained was cold and inhospitable

Cigna reportedly urges staff to check various kinds of “privilege,” to avoid using terms like “Wives/husband,” and to read books that claim America is systemically racist. In a statement to PJ Media, Cigna condemned racism and discrimination and insisted its positions were open to qualified applicants, regardless of race. As we noted at some length around the time the 1619 Project debuted, some of the strongest criticism of it came from the World Socialist Web Site, which sees identity politics as a hindrance to old-fashioned, orthodox Marxist class-conscious revolution. And they might be on to something here. It really is tempting to see the whole domain of identity politics as a right-wing plot to get the left to commit ritual purity suicide. (Do I really mean this? To quote Francis Urquhart in the original—and best—House of Cards: “You might very well think so; I couldn’t possibly comment.

But now, we have a name, and it nukes just about every prior predominant media narrative surrounding the shooting. There are few different spellings going around via various reports, but they are all trying to convey the same thing. I hope you have a neck brace on because you are about to have whiplash from how quickly the news outlets that have been speculating this was “white supremacy” change their tune.

The U.S. Supreme Court on Wednesday will hear oral argument in Caniglia v. In August 2015, 68-year-old Edward Caniglia joked to Kim, his wife of 22 years, that he didn’t use a certain coffee mug after his brother-in-law had used it because he “might catch a case of dishonesty.” That quip quickly spiraled

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The mayor of Oakland, California, on Tuesday announced a privately funded program that will give low-income families of color $500 per month with no rules on how they can spend it. The program is the latest experiment with a “guaranteed income,” an idea that giving poor people a set amount of money each month helps ease the stresses of poverty that often lead to poor health while hindering their ability to find full-time work. The idea isn’t new, but it’s having a revival across the U.S. after some mayors launched small, temporary programs across the country in
