I served on active duty in the United States Air Force.
That shouldn’t matter as to whether my opinion on anything related to the military is valid or not, but since some in the military are slamming Tucker Carlson for having an opinion but not having served, I’m establishing that I served. It was in not-war-torn Tokyo, where the most dangerous duty we faced was the city’s maddening traffic, but I served. So there.
Fox host Tucker Carlson recently opined that the United States military seems to have lost its focus in the past couple of months. He noted that it’s now bragging about changing hair standards

Virtue signaling in a tightly structured environment is done for career advancement.

Maybe the generals would feel better if they brought back conscription?

Consider how many journalists, reporters, commentators, and citizens throughout the years have criticized and questioned the military, both the leadership and the rank and file, with nary a word of reprisal. American POWs during Vietnam were beaten and tortured while news anchors, reporters, and citizens at home criticized them and their leadership. They called them killers and animals. Current Special Presidential Envoy for Climate, and former Sec of State, John Kerry, came home from Vietnam and (falsely) characterized his fellow “brothers in arms” as violent killers, comparing them to Genghis Khan, and accusing them of horrid atrocities, and did so to promote himself (he also later lied about medals received, etc). American soldiers were spat upon and shouted down after coming home. During the beginning of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars the media constantly derided the war effort. During the first Gulf War, CNN went to the region, and routinely spread misinformation regarding the effort, and criticizing the military. All that was OK. But, Tucker Carlson expresses the thought that instead of focusing on things that aren’t really an issue, maybe more attention should be paid to actually handling some very real threats we face from very dangerous enemies. For that, he is fair game for being mocked, criticized, and silenced. God Dave us fun these woke crusaders!

#1 is right. The puppets bucking for promotions have been doing this forever. The difference now is we have social media so their idiotic statements can be heard by millions and saved forever, instead of just by a captive audience of a few hundred or less. At one time those statements could be immediately ignored or forgotten, and often were.
Those types anger and disgust the real service members, as it makes accomplishing the mission that much harder and less certain. But it sure does look good on an annual performance report.

IMHO, when it comes to the military, if you don’t have a DD214, you should just Sierra Tango Foxtrot Uniform.

Well Mr Woke Sgt, I did serve in the military and went to war twice with her and I have an opinion too......you are an idiot as well as many of the spineless generals appointed over you by O’Bama. I’m sure you’ll land at least a six figure job designing clothes for the ladies who will eventually make up the bulk of the services. Warriors need not apply. Looking back now I know I would have felt much better if I’d had a pregnant wingman the first time I went North back in 67. But then I’m just an O’Biden Neanderthal so what the hell do I know.

They turned the IRS into a political goon squad, they turned the FBI, NSA, CIA into political espionage agencies, they turned NASA into a propaganda tool, so I will gladly boast of making the easiest prediction in history, yes they are turning the military on we the people.

When I saw the headline last night, I got a chuckle out of the play on words. Thought I'd wait until morning coffee to actually read the article.

I like the idea of conscription! And---in the spirit of Reparations---the first four million draftees should be women. Fun bonus; would also accomplish the Great Tranny Reset.
