Remember when Democrats claimed that Donald Trump was ruining our reputation overseas?Remember when they said that the rest of the world was laughing at Trump? Especially China? Then why are 14-foot tall “Trump Buddha” statues selling our all over China? These aren’t cheap. They’re going for over $600 USD, which means they are proportionately much more expensive for Chinese people. The reality is that President Trump was an extremely successful and popular president for both Americans and non-Americans alike.

I have never seen anyone capture the public’s imagination like Donald John Trump. You either hate him or love him, but you are not ambivalent. His draw is his fearlessness and willingness to confront those who need to be confronted. He is one in a million, a fighter and someone who will not apologize for this country and its contribution to this world. He is an alpha male in a sea of beta boys. You may hate him, his style may put you off but you cannot deny his ability to get things done. Just thank God he is on the side of good because he would be hell on wheels if he had the evil mind set of a George Soros.

If they would make one that was 8 inches tall, and sell them here, I would have one on the coffee table in my living room. I bet they could sell about 80 million of them here.

The only thing “Made in China” I would willingly buy. It would not fall under the category of idol worship any more than my bust of Beethoven sitting on the piano.

Fear not! Even as you speak, some plastic-forming factory in Taiwan is creating a mold for those. I'll buy one too.

I love this "in-your-face" stuff, but the headline is a bit deceiving. In the article it says that only 100 were made and that "dozens" have been sold...and they're going fast. Anyhow---if it's good enough to make the Dems and GOPe blood boil....it's good enough for me.

14 feet tall, huh?? Well, having something that tall on your front lawn would certainly stop the neighborhood sign thief from stealing it, wouldn't it?? They might try to "decorate" it, but they wouldn't easily steal it!!

Just a guess, but I would bet that the Buddhist's aren't real happy about this.
Don't worry, they will be available in the US soon.
No one can pass up this idea to make a buck.
Make one to portray Muhammed if you really want to start some trouble.

I think it's a great idea and would buy the 8 inch one if it becomes available. I do have a question though. Why do some publications/print ads have to Photoshop the product? I would trust a K-Tel commercial over this stuff any day.

This is delicious!!... it makes the Washington Dems crazy... the world knows what happened to the stolen election... and... most people are ... at their core... good and fair minded... so it really doesn't surprise me... perhaps things are not as good back home in china as the fake media would like US to think...Hmmm?

Check with the original links...many of these statues are sold to business people as gimmicks, conversation pieces, and aren't necessarily complimentary at all. One buyer reportedly said, “Trump can also be regarded as a representative of an era, and extreme egoism. Now the era has passed but I want the statue to remind me: Don’t be too Trump,”
Even this article quotes, “'Most people just bought it for fun,' the Trump Buddha’s seller told Global Times, adding that dozens of the statues have already sold."
These aren't likely going into homes of the common people. $614 is peanuts for the business people who commonly drive around in their Cadillacs, Buicks, BMWs and more than a few Lambos, Bentleys and Rolls.

The picture in the article shows a very respectful depiction of President Trump. I wonder what Chairman Xi's reaction is to this popularity.
