Donald Trump has made a surprise appearance at a dog rescue fundraiser at Mar-a-Lago, after returning to his home base in Florida following a quick trip to New York. The former President delighted attendees at the event - held Friday night to raise money for Big Dog Ranch Rescue - as he took to the stage for an impromptu speech, which was shared to Twitter by journalist T.A. Walker. 'I didn't exactly prepare for this, but I was walking by, and I heard everyone screaming,' Trump was seen telling the crowd as they broke into rapturous applause.

I miss President Trump!! I know that he loves this country and wants the best for every citizen.
BTW, stay away from the comments. The "tolerant" crowd polluted them with their hatred.

I too miss my wonderful President Trump. I felt safe with him in the Oval Office. After 8 years of Obama it was great and wonderful to have a real natural born American citizen watching my back. I am so looking forward to 2024 when I can vote to re-elect President Trump and be proud again!

Even the dogs from China need to be rescued. And, they're trying to take over America. Dang!

Saving dogs! This is wonderful! The Chinese eat dogs and they kill them by beating them to death to “tenderize the meat”.
Meanwhile, Xiden’s untrained dogs get sent home in punishment and his former boss ate dogs in Indonesia. Where is the praise for PDT from PETA, the ASPCA and the animal rights crowd?
You GO, Lara!

I would love to see Lara Run. I think; she would win! That said, she and Eric have a very young family, so I wonder how it would work for them. Wouldn't it be wonderful if Eric moved to SC and took the Entire TRUMP Business with him!!! OUT of NY! Think of the money that would take out of the City that hates Trump so much.

Raising a half million dollars to "help" to bring 500 dogs from the PRC to the USA may be a good deal (at $1,000/pooch) given the cost of airfare, administrative costs, etc.
Yet, what about all the dogs that are already in shelters in the USA? Has the USA arrived at a "peak homeless dog" situation?
What about all of our fellow humans in the USA who live in their own filth on sidewalks, in tents, etc., without proper sanitation, wholesome food, proper medical care, etc.?
Maybe the well meaning Mar-a-Lago matrons need to reexamine their charitable priorities.

I see nothing particularly qualifying about her, and marrying into the Trump family doesn't move the needle. Maybe she's fine. Maybe I'll vote for her (as I will for whoever the Republican candidate is). But I'm far from excited.
Now, Mark Robinson, on the other hand . . .

#7 People living in filth on sidewalks are mentally ill and do it by choice. There are more than enough shelters and there is more than enough cash spent on them. You can thank the demonrats (as usual) for that mess - they are the ones who insisted on shutting down the mental hospitals and turning these people out on the streets.

#7 Many of us who do "animal rescue" do "people rescue" too. I have been doing meaningful charitable community work since I was 14 years old because my parents not only taught me Christian charity from the Bible but more importantly they lived it everyday. There is no mutual exclusivity when it comes to being charitable. The human heart is a big place and Americans are the most charitable people in history. Let's celebrate our big heart!! That has always been President Trump's message.

I understand #7's concern, but would look at the situation from another angle. There are SO many worthy causes that need attention and remedies. WE choose the one(s) we connect with, whether for personal or ideological reasons. If someone else (like government) decides what the priority list is, there is no motivation to be involved. That's the beauty of the nature of those who give their hearts, efforts, talents, and money to making things better.
If saving defenseless dogs in China is what calls someone, then I honor them and wish them success. I'm sure that the person who looks into the eyes of one of those pups taken safely off that night's menu knows they have made the world a tiny bit safer and kinder.

Oh happy day... WE are starting to hear from President Trump more and more...the cancel culture has lost control.... taking President Trump off tweeter was never going to work... he's in our hearts and minds and occasionally he pops up where the lefties are least expecting it....a happy positive President Trump versus a sleepy/angry biden ... quite a change...great visuals... biden walking slowly down a hallway...versus President Trump jumping up and telling his followers ...I'm here!!! Wahoo!!

A barking dog is like a dinner bell in China. Any country that allows bats to be sold as a meal for humans isn't a civilized country.

Great. I would still want to know how she would govern, and whether she would govern at all (as opposed to rule) before deciding if I would vote for her. Don't blindly vote for relatives of prominent politicians or celebrities. We have been burned far too often.

Want to start a PR campaign against China? Just spread the news widely that the people of China eat dogs, and demand they ban the consumption of dogs. It would work.

Sadly, we see lovable pets in distress; they see exportable bio-weapons--flying off the shelves. :(

Lara is good enough for me. She shares many of my concerns. Maybe Eric will run too. I like me some Trump attitude. BTW, it's supposed to be that any of us can serve our time in D.C. and return home to our normal duties of life, isn't it? So why not Lara? Maybe she won't overstay for life like the rest of the critters up there in the Iron Capitol.

Of all the next generation of Trumps, Lara stands out to have all the right stuff. Always with a smile, a good attitude and loving North Carolinian. Wow! North Carolina you have a winner to replace the unlikable Burrrrr. :(
I don't wish to read anything bad about dogs. I have three that are always within 6 feet from me. However, rescuing dogs from anywhere in the world, especially from China, is always a good thing. Dogs are a gift from God and should be treated with respect.
