All of a sudden, here it is the end of February and there is no State of the Union (SOTU) address scheduled for President Biden. That’s odd because last month, Biden promised what sounds exactly like a SOTU:
"Next month, in my first appearance before a joint session of Congress, I will lay out my 'Build Back Better' recovery plan," he said. "It will make historic investments in infrastructure, manufacturing, innovation, and research and development in clean energy."
AP and PBS both got wind that the address was to be given on February 23 in and said so in posts that are now deep-sixed

The SOTU is merely another ''statue'' being toppled by the Unamerican Left. As for hearing another bumbled word from Xiden's mouth, as Rhett said to Scarlet!!

Biden is not mentally or physically up to doing it. The Democrats have to keep him out of the public eye as much as possible because to let him give the state of the union address would expose all of their lies and make the public aware of their cunning deceit. They keep telling us that he is fine and does not have dementia. With the MSM keeping up the lie, the gullible public who either does not watch TV news or does not watch anything but CNN has no clue. Then the public might ask who is writing all of those Executive Orders Biden is signing. There might be a rebellion in the Democrat wing of the country. People don't like to be duped and then find out about it when it is too late. No one likes to be made a fool.

It's because of biden the cheater's sundowning problem that happens in the late afternoon and evening due to his advancing dementia. Behaviors of a person with dementia at these hours of the day are very very dark. There's not many dementia sufferers who can stand there all smiles for 90 minutes and give a speech that focuses on anything with or without a teleprompter. Could you imagine how he would sound if the teleprompter suddenly crapped out on him and he's on his own for 5 or 10 minutes. Very convenient to use the January 6th capitol building break-in as cover to keep biden his affliction under the radar.

A group of Dems want the 'nuclear button' (actually the codes) shared with the Fraudulent VP HeelsUp--because they want to propel this POC to more power and know that Xiden the Feeble Fascist is fading fast. Xiden is as capable of delivering the SOU extemporaneously for two hours as his dogs are. What will eventually happen is a video and virtual version pasted together from multiple takes, computer generated imagery (CGI, just like the movies), and delivered to Congress. The fakery continues as the Committee for Public Safety (Gates, Bloomberg, the 30 tech giants) continue to control the country. (And no, they don't trust HeelsUp.)

He can't do the speech yet. Either Disney imagineers are still working on the animatronic Joe Biden who could give the speech without flubbing it, or they are trying to figure out how to make it so the marionette strings not show while Obama and Susan Rice control Biden.

The country should be thankful they have not had to endure a Biden SOTU, and quit asking about it.

That's too bad, I was looking forward to watching Mitch McConnell tear up the speech on national TV.
Yeah like he would have the guts to do that.

POTUS does not have to be delivered in person. It can be a written document. Article II, section 3 says presidents "shall from time to time give to the Congress information of the state of the union, and recommend to their consideration such measures as he shall judge necessary and expedient.'' The pomp and circumstance is NOT necessary. POTUS can deliver a printed speech to each chamber, or have his remarks come from the Oval office if he wants. Reagan in 1981, George H.W. Bush in 1989, Clinton in 1993, George W. Bush in 2001, Barack Obama in 2009 and Trump in 2017 — have chosen not to deliver official State of the Union addresses during their first years in office. Those speeches would have come soon after their inaugural addresses. However, many, including Trump, have delivered major speeches in front of Congress that have had the feel of the State of the Union without the title. It's up to the president whether or not he wants to come at all. And, the SOTU does not have to be given every year....from time to time is not specifically every year. So I don't think it is at all important. 1) no one will watch/listen/read 2) he is too senile to deliver such a speech 3) if he did, he would reveal the hoax and that would not bode well for the dems. Who really cares?

Have always wondered privately if the discussion regarding Biden's diminished mental faculties is real or just political hype. For the most part, when on TV, he holds it together. Some of the stories have also been unfounded. However, if Biden cannot hold himself together for a 60-90 minute SOTU speech, that means this is real and it is not just politics. Biden and his handlers have to see that. The entire world is seeing it.
It cannot be hidden. Btw, Biden does not have administrative people or staff people around him. He just has handlers. Basically everyone working for Biden has to be aware by now part of their duties is to pick up after Biden.

So the Democrats have tens of thousands of National Guard troops at the ready in or near the US Capitol building and Biden and his handlers are still afraid to go to that place and deliver a State of the Union speech! Give us a break!
Look for Biden to give a virtual speech from a room in the White House via an edited video taken during many tries by Biden to give his speech by way of reading off a teleprompter placed out of the audience’s view as Biden has been doing all along.

Biden said he would be laying out his recovery plan next month before a joint session of Congress. That would have been this month. Psaki said there were no such plans for Biden to address a joint session. Okay, fine! Someone may have changed his mind. He doesn’t have to address Congress; however, someone should just ask her the question that is on everyone’s mind. Is Biden is physically and mentally capable of delivering such a speech? Isn’t that a fair question?

In his short appearances before and after the election, Biden's failing mental capacity is evident to anyone whether they are in the medical field or not. He has to be lead around and told what to say and do via an ear piece (remember the confused salute the marines). Many of us have had family members or friends with family who have been afflicted with this awful mental disease. I, in no way would celebrate anyone having this deadly disease, but he should not be propped up as the leader of the USA. It make us look weak to other nations. Some on the left liked to say what an embarrassment Trump was, and yet ignore the biggest embarrassment of all time. I say expose the left for degrading and their nonstop attempts to take over the country for their own power. Insist that Beijing Joe with or without the doc make more personal appearances and talk to us. He can't do it. The circle back girl is not an acceptable substitute.

Shorten the SOTU to one sentence. Xiden should be able to manage it in, say, twenty takes with ten overdubs.

What an empty issue. For all the "originalists", here is what the Constitution requires of the President: "He shall from time to time give to the Congress information of the state of the union, and recommend to their consideration such measures as he shall judge necessary..." (Article II, Section 3)
Anyone see a date or even annual requirement? There isn't any. It doesn't even need to be personally delivered in a joint session. The SOU has become political theatre, an extravaganza brought into every home in the land by the magic of television, a star-studded night of bullstuff. It could be, and traditionally has been a letter to Congress. But that doesn't work well on TV.
So, let's give this silliness a rest. There are bigger fish needing to fry.

Biden reminds me of a family friend that had dementia. If you didn't know him well, he could hold it together for a short time as long as you didn't ask him a question. When you asked a question, you either got a blank stare, a startled "What????" or nothing. He managed to muddle along in a familiar environment for several years with minor crises - losing things, accidently breaking things, until one day he messed himself up enough to wind up in the hospital and the doctor wouldn't discharge him except to a residential care facility.

Truth be told the SOTU is in deep trouble and the likes of Biden and the other Democrats are 100% to blame. Won't be easy to cover up the true SOTU with their simple lies.

#3, I well remember how awful and lost Smidgen was when his teleprompter crapped out.
Xiden had two brain surgeries (partial lobotomies?) back in the 80’s. They were in the area of the brain which controls social filters, which is why he has been a gaffe machine for decades. I’m sure that they are also contributing to his rapid decline.

#16, it IS an issue, because Biden already started he would be delivering the speech. So, no, he's not obligated, but he committed himself to it. And, to now not do it, and to try to besmirch his political opponents, when the truth is that he is UNABLE to do it, is despicable. So, HE made this an issue, and it DOES matter for those 2 reasons.
#11 - have you watched the videos of him stumbling all over simple sentences??

Conservatives in the joint session (not very many) should all point to the teleprompters Joe is reading off during the whole speech - assuming he gives one.

#10, what is your point? For decades, the SOTU has been delivered by a speech to a joint session of Congress. Why is Biden apparently breaking with that tradition? The obvious answer seems to be that he is not capable of giving a 90 minute speech without stumbling, forgetting or failing to understand what is on the teleprompter. Maybe I'm wrong and he will give the speech next week and do just fine. But I doubt it. If the speech occurs, it will be short and the media will cover for him.
