The U.S. Justice Department has removed its support for a federal lawsuit in Connecticut that seeks to reverse a state policy allowing the participation of transgender athletes in girl’s high school sports. The lawsuit was filed a year ago by several cisgender runners who argue they have been deprived of wins, state titles and athletic opportunities by being forced to compete against two transgender sprinters. The Justice Department’s move comes just days before a Friday hearing on a motion to dismiss that lawsuit.(Snip) In a filing Tuesday, Connecticut U.S. Attorney John Durham and other department officials withdrew Barr’s statement, saying “The government has

"Cisgender " ? Please cut the P.C garbage word games. People don't want to and should not have to compete with the opposite sex in anything re sports. Where is the National Organization of Women on this ?

But of course. DC politicians: why not have a transgender league or category for those poor souls to be with their own folks? That would be a decent way to fairly handle them methinks. Just opining for a friend.

Death knell of women's sports and women's safety in sports and locker rooms. When women start losing college scholarships and jobs to men in dresses (playing at being a grotesque sexist caricature of a woman), do you think maybe then the NAGs as Rush called them might start caring about real girls and women?

Any male that would get satisfaction from winning against females should turn in his man card.
Wait a minute. Never mind.
I'm confused.

Here’s an amazing Twitter account that compares the track and field and swimming times of high school boys, to those of female olympians. In most cases, the boys times are overwhelmingly better than the very best female athletes in the world. I can’t believe that Twitter hasn’t removed this account yet, but remember it the next time that someone says that high school girls should be competitive with the transgendered athletes.

This garbage is just like gay marriage - the states will fight it for a few years while the lawsuits go through the lower courts, then SCOTUS will find transgender rights in the Constitution and that will be it.

The transgender nonsense is simply another avenue that globalists and Communists use to attack the most basic moorings of our society to confuse, confound, and disorient us in order to dominate. It is a game with counterintuitive, silly and pointless rules but the results are deadly serious: if you can’t or refuse to keep up with the inanity you become an outcast. They are vicious, ruthless and they are playing to win.
To my way of thinking the larger question contained in this article is why athletic prowess should be an advantage at all in an academic endeavor like college. Why should a student, male or female, who gets average grades at a highly competitive high school or prep school be turned away while a below average student from, say, a scholastically uncompetitive school is accepted because they are minor stand outs in athletics during the 6-8 prime physical years of their lives? Why should fellow students and/or taxpayers pay huge amounts of money to support college athletics which serve as farm teams for some professional sports? The NFL, the NBA, the NHL and even MLB don’t need the financial help. Sure, the 3.8 GPA kid who gets up at 5:00 a.m. to get ice time or to run 7 miles shows initiative but so does the kid with no athletic spark or interest who carries good grades and babysits or mows lawns or volunteers after school, etc.

This will be the end of womens sports as we know it. And that goes for colleges too. Transgender athletes are men with muscle and bones that make them faster and stronger. That's just scientific fact. I'm waiting for the first 6'10' male power forward who decides he's a woman coming out of college, declares for the WNBA draft. My money says that person will not be drafted or signed. And if a law suit is filed it probably won't get very far. NOW or the ACLU will have nothing to say. We live in very sad times people. Time to wake up.

Ever since the 1960s, modern feminists have had to accept the LBGTQ stuff as part of their creed.
Now their quandry is that each is hoist on her own petard, while manly men wear wigs and beat the snot out of real women.
Each is as uncomfortable and diffident as a Christian Scientist with appendicitis.
And there is no solution. Each would have to abandon her life's beliefs.
I admit that I am enjoying this a bit.

Why are the sports leagues so hard on enforcing performance enhancing drugs, then allow biological sex advantages? Neither sound like a fair competition, and neither should be allowed.

Further exposing the left's hypocrisy in terms of support for women. If I can put on panties to qualify me for privileges earmarked for women, or if by wearing paint I can claim to be black for benefits like scholarships or employment then all the hooplah is just lying. Dems and libs are great at serving up a diet of empty promises.

Where is there a Constitutional right involving athletic competition? Where is the Federal role in policing the policies of state high school sports federations or any sports sanctioning body? "Mens" leagues are open to women, for example. There are many examples of women in PGA events, even NBA teams drafting women.
Frankly, it's time for a little social justice payback. Withdraw the US Olympic team from '21 Tokyo until the IOC ends gender separation in competition. It's a shame we support separatist sports in day of equality, where women are "first responders", astronauts, combat forces, Green Berets and fighter pilots.
It works both ways. Open the doors to open competition.

John Durham; give him enough time and he's anything you want him to be. The feds should go a step farther and outright require "transgender women" to compete against real women, since we're now an "equity" nation, and since young women in particular were so supportive of Harris-Bidet over the Bad Orange Man who wanted to stop this nonsense.
