Masks Today, Masks Tomorrow, Masks Forever!

A friend who is a superb doctor sent along this communication from Fairview/University of Minnesota Health Services: Got that? Vaccination changes nothing! Wear masks, wash your hands frequently, socially distance and–above all–stay home! “Until it’s gone,” which is never. My friend comments: From an experienced medical facility, I expect better. It will never be gone, we will have it like every other coronavirus, like every other flu. Unlike smallpox, it is impossible to eradicate. Thus, we are reaching the endemic COVID phase soon, the post-pandemic period. So I am guessing they want us socially distanced forever?

Earlier today a heard a blurb about people who wear glasses have suffered fewer cases of covid than the un-bespectacled. Years ago i read an article about how ordinary face masks would not prevent the passage of flu virus cells, which are very small, smaller than bacteria, through the material of these paper masks. I'd also read somewhere along the way that the two easiest ways for a virus to enter the body is via the nose and/or the eyes. So don't be surprised if Dr. Fow-chi issues a new directive for everyone to wear eyeglasses and as many masks as your ears will hold. Most important guidelines are these: wash your hands and don't touch your face. Wearing a mask invites your fingers to dance around the mask, tugging and pulling and stretching, which means your nose and eyes are now in the target range of those most likely begrimed fingers. Study videos of the Poseur President Biden fidgeting with his mask, pulling it down, COUGHING IN his hand, pulling up the mask partway to the nose's bridge, letting it dangle from the nose's tip. Meanwhile, every Cabinet is due to be stocked with hardcore leftists, locked and loaded to radically transform every institution so much so that we may never be able to undo the damage even IF, IF, IF we are able to elect another President willing to fight. For now, we'd better get busy for 2022, meaning right now, ubiquitously, and support every Congressman we have who offers any resistance to this radical cabal.

I'll take the Kung Flu and the efficacy of face diapers seriously when the borders are revealed and those who have stolen into our country are not only tested for COVID-19 at their expense, but then have masks stapled to their illegal faces and get sent back across the border via catapult! Until then, I will read all inaction on the illegal border stampede as an implication by FauxJoe and his minions of doom that the "crisis" is over and I may resume my life with all freedoms I enjoyed prior to January of 2020!!

By the end of 2021 we will all know who the mask Nazis are. The Nazis will be the ones wearing designer masks the rest of their lives. Most will be democrats while the non-mask wearers are conservatives, masks will be identifiers. The only place I wear a mask is in the doctor's office because it's required and I stay out of the post office. Social distancing that's easy I did that before the China flu I don't like people or have many friends I have more 'drinking buddies'.

U.S. diplomats in China were subjected to anal swab tests for Covid-19, a Department of State spokesperson confirmed Thursday, adding that a protest had been lodged with the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The United States had received assurances from China that the tests were done in error and that diplomatic personnel were exempt from this specific testing requirement, the spokesperson said. "The Department is committed to guaranteeing the safety and security of American diplomats and their families while preserving their dignity, consistent with the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, as well as other relevant diplomatic law provisions," the spokesperson said.

Tonight, Joe Biden launched another salvo in the forever war. This time, we hit Iranian units in Syria, ostensibly as retaliation for recent rocket strikes on U.S. facilities. Why we are even still in Syria is a mystery the world’s greatest minds will never solve, but I digress. Some of you may be old enough to remember the consternation produced when Donald Trump launched a similar attack in 2017. We were assured that the orange man was going to start a world war. In fact, a certain current White House Press Secretary once chimed in on the supposed illegality of Trump’s previous strike.

Politicians are not, in general, renowned for honesty. Spin is universal and exaggeration goes with the territory. But actual lying–verifiable, damnable lying about an important public issue–is relatively uncommon. Unless we are talking about Joe Biden. During the campaign, Biden absurdly alleged that President Trump had mishandled the COVID epidemic, and therefore had murdered the several hundred thousand Americans who allegedly died from that disease. The theory was that if Trump had done something differently–God knows what–the U.S. would have been the only country on Earth with zero Wuhan deaths. Reporters went along with Biden’s fantasy.

Gov. Greg Abbott said Thursday that Texas is looking at when it will be able to lift all statewide orders related to the coronavirus pandemic and that an announcement is forthcoming. Abbott made the comments at a Corpus Christi news conference where he was asked when the statewide mask mandate would end as Texans continue to get vaccinated. That requirement has been in effect since July. Abbott called it a “great question.” “We’re working right now on evaluating when we’re gonna be able to remove all statewide orders, and we will be making announcements about that pretty soon,” Abbott said, without giving a specific time frame.
Parliamentarian: COVID-19 bill must lose
minimum wage hike

WASHINGTON — The Senate parliamentarian has dealt a potentially lethal blow to Democrats’ drive to hike the minimum wage, deciding that the cherished progressive goal must fall from a massive COVID-19 relief bill the party is trying to speed through Congress, Democratic Senate aides said Thursday. The finding by Elizabeth MacDonough, the chamber’s nonpartisan arbiter of its rules, comes as Democrats prepare for House approval Friday of an initial version of the $1.9 trillion package that still includes the minimum wage boost. It will force Democrats to make politically painful choices about what to do next on the federal minimum wage, which has long caused internal party rifts.

"The country is looking for action." That’s the internal message from one of President Biden’s top advisers. But is the country looking for the particular actions he’s pushing? The Republicans have made it increasingly clear they will oppose his Covid relief package as too unfocused and expensive, and that the Democrats will push it through on a party-line vote. While even some liberal economists see the $1.9-trillion price tag as too high, the package is polling well, and a new president usually gets his first big initiative. So this is, to use the technical term, a no-brainer. But could it be tough slogging for Biden after that?

Have you been wondering what happened to Joe Biden’s State of the Union address? Generally, the State of the Union address is delivered in late January to early February. But in the first year that someone is in office, they officially call it an “address to the joint session of Congress” not a State of the Union, although most people still refer to it as a “state of the union.” It’s often been a little later, likely giving the person the chance to actually evaluate things a little bit first. Barack Obama’s speech was on February 24. Donald Trump’s was on February 28. So, again, we go back to that question:

They are needing to reopen more facilities because of Joe Biden’s own words which illegal aliens have taken as an open invitation to come surging into the United States again. But what’s incredibly ironic about the opening of this facility is that it’s the very same facility that Kamala Harris visited in 2019, along with a host of other Democratic candidates running for president including Pete Buttigieg, Julian Castro, Kirsten Gillibrand, Marianne Williamson, Elizabeth Warren, John Hickenlooper, Bill de Blasio, and Tulsi Gabbard. Harris said that Homestead was a “human rights abuse”

On February 23, the newspaper reported a statement about the drop-offs they say came from Juan “Trey” Mendez, the mayor of Brownsville: “If it’s several hundred overnight, then that’s something that would become overwhelming for us,” said Mr. Mendez. “The administration is very well aware of that — we’ve conveyed that on numerous occasions.” Elsewhere on the border, local officials are decrying the administration’s policy of dumping the poor migrants into Americans’ neighborhoods.

U.S. District Judge Drew Tipton, in a late-night ruling, granted a preliminary injunction that blocks the moratorium the Biden administration announced on its first day. It’s a victory for Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, who filed a lawsuit against the federal government over the 100-day pause, which was announced in a memorandum from the Department of Homeland Security three days into the Biden administration. Last month, Tipton quickly issued a 14-day temporary restraining order
