Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson says he wouldn’t support former President Donald Trump if he tries to make a comeback in the 2024 election. “No, I wouldn’t,” Mr. Hutchinson, a Republican, said on CNN’s “State of the Union.” “I would not support him for reelection in 2024.” Mr. Hutchinson said he has spent 40 years promoting conservative principles in the GOP and the party should be defined by those core tenets, not by personalities. “He should not define our future,” he said of Mr. Trump. We have got to define it for ourselves.” Mr. Hutchinson, who cannot run for re-election next year

Yeah, whatever . And you've done WHAT ? to promote conservative values in the 100 or so years that you've been in politics?
Are we going to have to read hundreds of these loser/hosers in the runup to Donald Trump's candidacy in 2024 and/or his orchestration of a congressional landslide in 2022?

I’m so glad this grifting RINO outed himself, speaking as a registered Arkansas Republican. The third worst governor in my lifetime (well, tied for third-worst). Politics saved his failing legal practice.

It doesn't seem to bother Asa that the last election was stolen from Trump by massive voter fraud. This is really sad to see. Appears he has a spine like a jellyfish.

Exactly which "core tenets" have the Republicans defended? Name just one. Trump, and only Trump, has defended all of them. That's precisely why we continue to defend him.

He said it himself. Forty years promoting GOP. Thats nearly that long in the Swamp.
America for Americans. And an American, is by definition, someone who loves freedom so much, they will give up their lives for friends, family and country. Liberty or Death.
If you are worrying about what's "possible", Asa, or coming to a "compromise" or understanding anything beyond the open, straitforward meaning of the founders, you've lost your way.
Whether Trump is the right man in 2024 remains to be seen. He is however, the very center of what it means to be an American. Fearless, combative, determined, selfless.
Unless someone provably better comes along, he's my man.

I voted for Trump twice and will again if he runs; however, I do agree that principles and actions should always trump personalities. That's why I still plan to vote for Trump. I've never been a fan of any politician's personality or their ability to mouth the right conservatives lines; their actions relative to conservative, traditional American values speak loudest.

I guess Asa plans to sit on the sidelines then. It's amazing how duped we true conservatives have been by those we thought were on our side and believed what we believe. They just keep flying out of the closet every two days or so. President Trump has that effect.

I’m hoping Trump lays it all out to them at CPAC and when he gives his speech he announces that;
“because Republicans won’t fight, don’t know how to win and don’t want to win, I have decided to form a New Party, that will be guided by MAGA principles and will always put America and Americans first. Our New Beautiful party invites all Americans, Republicans, Democrats, Libertarians and independents to join together on what unites us and what makes America great and not on what divides us. Together we will finally drain the swamp that is Washington DC politics as usual”

All of these anti Trump Republicans act like a pack of craven cowards. They all want to destroy Trump, but are afraid. They all mill around talking among themselves hoping somebody else makes the first move, but none of them do. Very uninspiring. If this becomes the face of the Republican party, they are all done. Nobody votes for a coward.

Please define precisely what your conservative values are.
Please describe precisely how you have governed in accordance with conservative values.
Please describe precisely and factually how President Trump failed to meet your and conservatives’ expectations.
That way i can decide. In the absence of your full disclosure, your actions today will be deemed dishonest and self condemning.

He just confirmed he is retiring and for good! I don’t get these proclaimed conservatives. Trump did everything that RINOs have called for for years and they are still unhappy. What the hell do they want? If Trump hadn’t pushed these slackers, nothing would’ve gotten done in the short time frame it did. Those guys get into politics, not to accomplish anything, but to feed off the teats of the sow.

In the long term, one of the many great things that President Trump will have done for the country is to be a real "Swamp Critter detector". All the worthless, fraudulent corruptocrats are self-identifying when they run away from Trump.
A really solid way to know who to never, ever send money to or support in any way in the future.

Heck, #33, I'd settle for him announcing that within days/weeks/months that his social media will go live and we are ball welcome. I know many throughout the country did not like his use of twitter but I would greatly appreciate hearing from him. Plus I think it would be a hit below the waterline to his opponents. And, sure I would be all in on a third party launch.
