FEMA has delivered only 60 generators to assist Texas residents, even though hundreds of thousands remain without power for the sixth day in a row.
President Joe Biden’s homeland security advisor Liz Sherwood-Randall said Thursday that FEMA had sent 60 generators to assist Texas localities without power.
“Specifically, in Texas [FEMA] has made 60 generators and fuel available to support critical sites like hospitals and water facilities,” Sherwood-Randall said during the White House press briefing, even as she acknowledged that 600,000 people in the state of Texas remain without power.
Earlier in the week, as many as eight million residents in the south-central part of the country

No kidding, mensa. This has been an epic fail on the part of Texas and the Feds. Gov. Pat Paulsen...er..Greg Abbott wisely kept his mouth shut.

This is what happens to a “red state” when a Democrat is president. California would have got 500,000.

Time was, if you lived in Hurricane Country, some sort of backup generator and fuel supply was a good investment - as the O’Biden regime takes hold, the same now holds true anywhere in America. Be self reliant my son and you’ll be a man my son.....or sumthin’ like that.

Compare Biden's treatment of Republican Texas to Trump's treatment of Leftist New York when Cuomo was crying for ventilators in 2020 because of Covid,
Trump literally flooded the state with ventilators. Meanwhile in Texas, 60 generators? That's the inventory of one or two Home Depot stores

Well you would think that Biden and Harris would be down there along the borderline in Texas handing out cups of hot coffee and breakfast burritos to all the frozen “migrants” that the Mexican people smugglers have been bringing across the border into Texas. Since Biden and Harris through their non-enforcement of the immigration laws policies, proposed amnesty programs, along with leftist media propaganda in their home countries have been encouraging and inviting those “migrants” from countries all over the world to gain unlawful entry to the USA, you would think that Biden and Harris have a moral responsibility to be at the borderline to help and welcome those “migrants”.

#10, good question. Trump sent a ship to New York to help Cuomo. Cuomo declined, and thousands died.
Biden can't go to Texas because too many Trump supporters will film his feckless and demented behavior and post it on social media. Zucky and company might have a hard time adjusting their algorithms to censor those Biden videos.

I live in North Texas. This is a catastrophe of epic proportions. Thousands are still without power and even more are without water. But we don't want or need the Feds at this point. They will come sweeping in with "aid" around Monday when temps are back to normal. Unless they are sending plumbers, don't bother. AND, it's our own fault. The fat cats at ERCOT - a third of whom don't even live in Texas - gambled with Texan's homes and lives and WE lost. Thankfully, I live on a farm with my own water well and firewood and stores of supplies for times like these. We are capable of most plumbing repairs ourselves. But rather than gloat about how smart we are in prepping, I'm heartsick over my fellow Texans' plight. I'm currently keeping 3 households fed and watered. AND looking into some solar panels for "next time." My hope is that my fellow Texans will try to find and punish the guilty - whether that be a nasty out of state democrat or a beloved local republican - but also realize that in the end, the only people you can count on are your family and neighbors. Prepare better.

Somewhere along the line the people need to be better prepared. I'm over the county line north of Austin. Our electricity was out for 36 hours. Last year we experienced the long lines at our grocery stores. Just to get some food and toilet paper. Who learned from that? Why are there 90 minute waits at Walmart and HEB? A week before the freeze we made hotel reservations. We bought a house with gas so if the electricity was down we could light the stove and boil water. We installed over the year water harvesting barrels. (tax deductible where I live) When we lost water it was easy to boil what we had and filter it. And we had enough food stored to last our family for weeks. We also brought in another family to stay with us. The point is, please be prepared to survive a disaster. And take responsibility with your own livelihood. The Government won't help you. And I'm sure Trump would have done a much better job of handling this. What did Joe do?

People need to take care of more of their own needs. It is not the government's job to give me my own personal generator. Nor is it their job to tell me to buy extra food, water and firewood in case of an emergency. I agree with them trying to help hospitals and public safety agencies.
Stop blaming government, whether it is conservative or liberal, for your failure to take care of your own home and family.

It is evil what Democrats seek to do to the country. The silence of top Republican leaders about the lack of federal help for Texas is evil as well. Our own TX leaders have certainly not covered themselves in glory. (Cruz’ PR stupidity is not even worth a comment, the filthy media used him to deflect from real news.) We Texans found out we are on our own.
We also live in the country. We have been storing food and supplies for some time. We remodeled a very old log cabin on the property. We set it up to function perfectly comfortably off grid. When it got extremely cold, we moved from the big house into it. We burned our wood in the woodstove. We cooked and had plenty of well water to filter and drink. Everyone must start preparing for the next difficult event - whether weather or economic. God bless you everyone. We must prepare for not only ourselves but so we can be a blessing to our family and neighbors. We are going to be fine because our trust is in God not the government as our source.

I just keep remembering the post Katrina meltdowns democrats had regarding Bush. Ignoring of course that it was Governor Betsy Wetsy who caused the problems with delay in the first place. But then she is a democrat and must be given a free pass on her stupidity.

I'm a "prepper" who lives in West Virginia. I have prepared my home in the event of an electrical power outage by having ventless natural gas stoves installed in key locations in my house, including my basement. If both the electrical and natural gas grids go down, I have kerosene heaters that I can place in key areas around the house, including my basement. I keep plenty of kerosene on hand to last several days. I also have two portable generators. One runs on gasoline, the other runs on gasoline or propane. I also have enough food to last several months. I have various types of stoves for cooking--propane, butane, kerosene, and even an alcohol stove. Every room in the house has LED light switches as back up. I keep a big stash of batteries. I also keep various types of backup lighting--propane lanterns, butane lanterns, Aladdin mantle lamps, kerosene pressure lanterns with mantles, etc. I also maintain a supply in case family members need stuff.
Unfortunately, by the time I would need the emergency supply of food, the government will have suspended our Constitutional rights and the police will raid people's homes for supplies, which they will claim they are distributing to others in need, but they will keep it for themselves.
