The most nausea-inducing moment of Sunday night’s Super Bowl came not during the public spanking of The Chiefs by the Bucs. It was during a tone-deaf, two-minute TV commercial starring New Jersey’s own Bruce Springsteen, in which the mega-wealthy musician and leftist sage revealed that his longtime working-class grift is as phony as his cowboy hat.
In the commercial entitled “The Middle,” Bruce, is seen driving a 1980 Jeep CJ-5 to a chapel in Lebanon, Kansas, which he describes as “standing on the exact center of the lower 48.’’
He rhapsodizes about this geographical oddity — ignoring the fact that Kansas voters

The nausea started in 1975 with Born To Run, when every poseur alert in my brain went off, and continued with every phony "working man" album since.

#9. Jeep is all US Army. In WWII the Army needed a small agile vehicle for light duty. It was called general purpose or GP which morphed into jeep, a quarter ton light vehicle, in 1941.

The best part of this is that when he traveled to Lebanon, Kansas to do the shoot, he probably traveled past scores of Trump signs and flags, I would bet on it.
I have traveled around Kansas and to Texas in the last two weeks and I have probably seen at least 200 trump flags and signs, and ONE anti Trump sign.

Jeep owner since '94. And as for the Boss, he's as clueless in Lebanon, as he would be in Seattle. The only artist that I like with a spring in the voice is Dusty, Springfield that is. So take him with a very small grain of salt. Don't f#$k with my Jeep, leftists.

Jeep commercial? I thought he was the guy performing Born to Run in his pink underwear. It was unwatchable at any rate.

All of Springsteen's songs sound alike. I was never a fan. But even if I was, the last thing I would be interested in would be his political views or being lectured to by him.

#11, as I recall, Newsweek put him on the cover the same week. He was a publicist's creation. It also backfired on him because young music fans at the time didn't take their cues from Time and Newsweek. It was another 2-3 years before he finally caught on.

A true recollection, #23. Music fans of the day weren't going to be force fed "stardom".
So much East Coast rock then seemed contrived, too formulaic and not genuine.
Springsteen posed as if he spoke to me, he didn't.
