3.5 times more often than white
kids, MUSC experts say

Elementary schools are 3.5 times as likely to suspend or give detentions to Black children than their white peers, according to a recently released study. The study, which included a researcher from Medical University of South Carolina, used data on nearly 12,000 students from ages 9-10 nationwide to determine how factors like social media, sleep, video games and more affect health, according to the website.(Snip) When researchers accounted for external factors such as family conflict and income, they found white and Hispanic students were punished at roughly the same rate, according to the study. “All other things being equal, Black kids

Comments:

This has nothing to do with single-parent homes, with occasional discipline handed out by a series of random boyfriends, or with a culture that admires hair-trigger violent outbursts and a total lack of respect for authority figures.

Probably because the black kids act up 10 times as often as white kids, but only get punished for 1/3 of their misbehavior, and the white kids get punished for all of theirs. The headline is intentioally very deceptive. The current generation of chip-on-shoulder, hair trigger violence black inner city kids are dangerous, even unarmed.

Try doing a survey of who teachers would like in their classrooms. My bet would be Asian, white ,Spanish then black.

There’s an echo in here! As meaningful as the studies that showed cops pulled over blacks 3x whites on a stretch of road. They set up cameras and blacks were speeding 5x whites.

In my first Statistics in Research class it was shown that the more fire trucks that respond to a fire, the more likely the fire is to cause greater damage and/or loss of life. That statistic led the ignorant to conclude that when buildings are on fire, sending less fire trucks will save lives and property. The ignorant or just plain stupid didn't have the sense to know that a four-alarm fire, which summons the fire equipment from four different stations, is indicative of a massive fire that has already caused significant damage and more fire fighting equipment is needed to protect the nearby exposures as well as extinguish the original fire. Thats is similar to concluding the more doctors summoned to a trauma room or ICU, the more likely it is that the patient will die, so if one has suffered multiple injuries or system failures, fewer specialists treating you will increase your chances of survival. There are spurious correlations among variables in statistical analysis, especially in the hands of the agenda driven, like the global warming and social justice mavens. This article is an example of that.

Maybe I missed it, but I saw nothing in here that compares the punishment by race of those committing the same offenses. Nothing about comparative numbers of offenders and nothing about a comparison of how the same offense is dealt with by teachers. We can begin with the premise that all students should be treated fairly, but it appears this study seeks to change that, replacing fairness with, yep, "equity".

Fact... Young black males are at least SEVEN time more likely to kill someone than young white males. Factor that into the equation and it would SEEM that 3.5 times more punishment is not nearly enough.

None of the factors that the study claims to have factored out of the analysis included the comparative frequency or degree of misbehavior. And if any disparity in the outcome implies disparity in treatment, it implies the behavior was uniform. At every school I attended (which were several, being a Navy Brat) there were individuals or groups who couldn't seem to stop behaving worse than everybody else. They weren't all the same race or sex; but the majority were African-American (i.e. not the African immigrants or exchange students, the majority of whom seemed to be among the better behaved and more polite students).

I can tell you that people who raise feral children, regardless of race, ethnicity, or culture, unleash them on the citizens of the public schools. I can tell you that said feral children raise 16 kinds of hell. I can tell you that feral children of the protected classes get extra considerations. I can tell you that in communities and cultures where parents tell their toddler children to “Hurry the F up!” (I heard this yesterday in the grocery store parking lot), are THE problem. I can tell you that it will get far, far worse since said people reproduce at astoundingly successful rates.

#32, that's an excellent example that correlation is not causality. On famous example is: If you could show a correlation between cardboard box production in Peoria and the kangaroo population in Australia, do you think the kangaroos cause the cardboard boxes, or do the cardboard boxes cause the kangaroos? The Chicago Public Library is temporarily removing six Dr. Seuss books from circulation after Dr. Seuss Enterprises announced it would cease to publish the books due to racist and insensitive imagery. ”It is important to recognize that what society understands to be relevant and/or common knowledge changes over time, and so too does the Library and the needs of the communities it serves,” Patrick Molloy, a spokesperson with the library, said in a statement. “Library staff encourage patrons of all ages to engage critically with our materials, but materials that become dated or that foster inaccurate, culturally harmful stereotypes are removed

Apologizing for your very existence isn’t just for straight White guys anymore. A coffee mug emblazoned with an apology for the dreaded trio of being straight, White and male now retails on Amazon for $12.95 with the sales pitch that it “makes a perfect gift for everyone.” Once associated with Hollywood virtue signalers or those whose racist behavior was exposed by social media or video, apologizing for a White birthday suit has become more mainstream.(Snip) In Amherst, Massachusetts, the Town Council issued a letter of apology and recommended its members for anti-racism training after a White female councilor attempted to participate

A French schoolgirl has admitted to telling lies about a teacher who was beheaded after an online hate campaign kickstarted by her comments. The unidentified girl had claimed that high school teacher Samuel Paty showed an image depicting the Prophet Mohammed during a lesson on free speech. She said that Paty had asked Muslim pupils to leave the class before he showed the image, which had appeared in the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo. On Monday, the girl's lawyer revealed that his client, 13, had confirmed that she did not actually attend the class and was off sick at the time.

President Biden on Monday seemed to forget Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin’s name at a White House event—calling the Pentagon chief “the guy who runs that outfit over there.” Biden was announcing the nomination of two female generals to lead US military combatant commands. “And I want to thank the sec—the, the, ah former general. I keep calling him general, but my, my—the guy who runs that outfit over there,” Biden said.(Snip) Earlier at the event, Biden mentioned the Defense Department leader by his name, “Secretary Austin,” while appearing to read from a teleprompter.

Thousands of illegal immigrants are being set free across the country as the crisis on the southern border escalates—and the White House admitted Monday it isn’t doing enough to discourage people from seeking unlawful entry to the United States. Speaking to reporters during a press briefing, White House press secretary Jen Psaki acknowledged the failures after being pressed about the administration’s handling of the situation. “I would say it’s clear we need to work more on getting the message out and being very clear, now is not the time to come,” said Psaki, before reiterating the Biden administration’s claim that “the majority

Rep. Steve Cohen vowed to renew the push to remove former FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover’s name from the bureau’s downtown Washington headquarters, according to an interview released Monday. Appearing on Yahoo! News’ Skullduggery podcast, the Tennessee Democrat said the effort is getting a fresh look after the release of a new movie highlighting the FBI’s secret program to discredit civil rights activists. The Washington Times in 2019 first reported Democrats’ bid to strip the longtime FBI director’s name from the bureau’s headquarters. Mr. Cohen said the impetus to revive the bid is the new movie, “Judas and the Black Messiah.” The movie details

As we reported two days ago, Joe Biden completely made no sense when he was trying to explain the Wuhan coronavirus relief bill. It was really bad and it explains why they’re afraid to have him deliver an address to Congress or do any kind of a real solo press conference, because at this point they have to be afraid this is all going to fall apart if he does anything live and this all becomes too obvious to the American people. But there’s only so long that they can hold this off. And it’s getting worse, as video today revealed. Biden was holding an event to announce the nomination

Her bill HR 1 trashes the U.S. Constitution in an attempt to rig the system and make it virtually impossible to elect a Republican president or Congress again. It’s a power grab. The bill eviscerates state voting laws and forces all the states to conform to a set of rules that includes automatic voter registration. Anyone who goes to a DMV or applies for food stamps, Medicaid or other social services, or attends a public college will be automatically enrolled to vote. I’m probably second to none in my dislike for Meghan Markle. There’s something unattractive about a mature woman marrying into the British Royal family with one of the world’s most expensive weddings, hanging out with the Queen, living in insane luxury…and then whining non-stop about the horror of her life. There’s something even less appealing when that woman accuses the Royal family of race hatred. And the problem is that, when it comes to that left-wing diva, Meghan Markle, it’s hard to believe most of what she says. After weeks of hype, CBS finally televised Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah.
