Florida’s efforts in rolling out and distributing COVID-19 vaccines have apparently been so successful it is attracting thousands of out-of-state tourists, forcing state officials to restrict the limited doses to permanent residents only.
A two-page advisory issued by state Surgeon General Dr. Scott Rivkees restricts vaccines to be given only to those who can prove they reside in Florida. The advisory came after Florida officials fielded complaints that people from as far away as Canada and Argentina, among other countries, were flocking to the Sunshine State for a vaccine.
In addition, American citizens from other states were also traveling to Florida

I am not comfortable with anything the “government” rolls out. Can anyone say that they trust the government to be straight with us? If there is one thing I have learned these past few months is that the government betrayed our trust and does not deserve unquestioned compliance. I am just not comfortable with the vaccine. Just look what the democrats have brazenly accomplished in front of millions of Americans who actually witnessed massive voter fraud. The government’s reputation is not worth a plug nickel.

It has been a bit of a gold rush here in Florida - some slots became available at Publix yesterday and by the time I finished filling out the online form they were gone.

This would be a good time for NY State and Florida to compare voter registrations, searching for snow bird double voters. (I'm sure NY State will look at income tax residency issues.),
NY State in the person of Little Andrew Cuomo would not cooperate on voter registration, but ...

Florida really has done an excellent job throughout this pandemic.
You would think other states might realize that they voted for a hot mess in their states.

Some vaccine in GA was a day away from the expiration date. Before I heard anything about it rich people from Alabama came over and got it. I'm still looking.
However, if Biden creates a distribution plan there is no question we won't see vaccine till 2022. It will all go to his Democrat connected friends.

I'd like to better understand this supposed "kill switch" that was engineered into the covid vaccine that artificial intelligence will be capable of turning on. Yes, I know, sounds like nonsense. But, the Great Reset doesn't think so.

Got an email from a friend in Florida who said the vaccine rollout was a complete goat rope....long lines and running out of vaccine and LOTS of out of state plates...

I suspect it's a lot of people from New York. It's that time of year when New Yorker's flock to Florida. Especially on the east coast of Florida.

Quick roll out? That's not what our lefty news networks say. They talk about shortages, long lines, and scheduling apps that don't work daily. They absolutely refuse to give credit to Governor DeSantis or any other Florida Republican. Their agenda is say anything to tear down Republicans.
This headline surprised me.

Canadians have become accustomed to traveling to the US for healthcare for decades because their version of socialized medicine is a huge failure. The bigger question is, why is Florida handling this distribution so well and why do they have sufficient supplies of vaccine when most other states do not? Maybe having a competent governor has something to do with it?
I agree with #1, I will not be in any hurry to get this shot.

#4 - they aren't coming just to warm up, they will stay long enough to screw up our state with their politics. We almost didn't get the smart and intelligent governor we have because the leftist democrats swarm in and vote against everything we stand for. Go to California, you'll have the governor you want without screwing up everybody else's life.

Waiting for some Federal court to rule these vaccines are Federal assets and thus available to everyone who asks. Don't think there aren't a goodly number of Canadians down there getting in line, too. (They're there. I know a bunch of 'em.)

Owning land in Florida, we considered going down to get vaccinated, having a legitimate mailing address. Our totally hateful, incompetent governess here in Kansas is giving it to prisoners before honest citizens.
But, upon reflection, I am not sure I am in a hurry to get it. My cellular biology prof friend is still looking into the vaccine, hasn't replied yet on whether he and his retired nurse wife will be taking the vaccine.
This vaccine is not a conventional vaccine. Conventional vaccines inject either deactivated viruses or virus fragments to provoke your body to react to them as they would react to the actual virus. This creates antibodies against the virus. This vaccine uses messenger RNA to cause your cells to make virus fragments and eject them into your blood. These virus fragments, created under the instructions of the "vaccine" are what provokes the body to make antibodies, providing immunity.
Whether this two step mRNA process, never before used in humans, is fully understood in all it's ramifications is unclear to me at this time. I tend to think that the vaccine is OK, but not clear about the mRNA possibilities to "go wrong", and that is what my cellular biology research professor friend is pondering, too. How much risk is there of this going wrong in some way we do not yet understand? Not quite known.

#7, yes, sounds like nonsense, and highly improbable, technically. But, my research professor friend is looking into it, and I have directly asked him if he is going to take it. I'll be guided by his choice. We have been friends since college, 50 years ago.

Well thanks a lot #15! Hubby and I were lucky enough to score the Vaccine with Publix. I had my shot on Thurs and he had his Friday. Not many in my neighborhood have had any luck. There is no rhyme or reason to getting through to get a reservation. It's pure luck. We also have our appointments for the second shot. We had registered in both Marion and Sumter counties, on Dec 28th with no luck! So, I hope you find out that the vaccine is safe to take so I won't be growing a Beard or something weird like that!!

To all of those who want government health care, just take a look at what is happening with this vaccine chaos. This is just a microcosm of what you can expect when government will be in charge of your everyday health needs, cancer and heart surgeries, flu vaccines. We are so screwed without Trump.

Things are working well here in Indiana...go online, get an appointment place then a date (in my case it was a week away), sign up, get an email confirmation, go to the named location, name checked against a list, get the vaccination, drive to a parking area, wait 15 minutes, leave...all from the comfort of your personal vehicle...by the time I got home my second vac appointment was made for the same location, 21 days in the future...I actually did see ONE Ohio plated car in the line....

Not much trouble here in my N. GA town. Got the first shot last week, due for the second on 2/15. A lot depends on how local leaders handle the distribution. In our case, very efficiently.
