On Day One of his presidency, President Joe Biden signed an executive order stopping the construction of the Keystone XL pipeline, slashing thousands of jobs along with it, because he and his incoming administration deem it an environmental hazard. TC Energy Corp. has already let go 1,000 workers in both the U.S. and Canada.
Pete Buttigieg, who ran against Biden in the 2020 Democratic primary, is now the president's Transportation Secretary nominee. He was grilled by the Senate on Thursday about Biden's job-killing signatures.
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) shared his concern that President Biden just upended 1,200 good paying union jobs.

This is bound to get uglier and uglier. Are we expected to get behind (oops, sorry Pete) this 'green job' crap? It was tried and it failed during the Kenyan uprising/downfalling.
The sun and the wind are NOT going to fuel this economy. All this will fuel is many more Solyndra follies and feeding troughs.

Cruz was direct and to the point, pointing out all the good paying jobs that were being vaporized. Butthead's smirk was condescending as he claimed that they'll create more good paying jobs. Taking away a livelihood is no big deal to him. He treats people and families like farm animals that he oversees. They can be sent to another farm. No big deal!

Maybe Peetey can explain why so many public transportation system waste an incredible amount of natural energy resources. The trains and buses run day and night, although homeless people getting a free ride are the only reliable customers.

Biden is an arrogant jerk (off).
Aside from the construction, pipe mill, operations, and maintenance jobs that will be lost, what about the billions spent to develop the project, negotiate contracts, acquire easements, environmental permitting, engineering, refinery upgrades, etc? People have spent YEARS of their lives and BILLIONS OF DOLLARS to put a simple pipeline in the ground.
The Keystone Pipeline met all of the requirements imposed by the Corps of Engineers and WAS LEGALLY PERMITTED before Obama, abusing his authority, stopped it for purely political reasons and because powerful interests wanted to maintain their railway and truck freight operations.
This was a corrupt act. Permits for pipelines are MINISTERIAL. If you comply with all permit requirements, you get a permit.
Where does a fool like Biden, and before him Obama, get off vetoing a pipeline?
I hope the developers sue the government to recover their losses, and I hope they specifically name Biden as the defendant

With the pipeline out of the picture for a while, the oil will return to 100% travel on Warren Buffett's ricket rails and leaky tank cars....
Which is the sole purpose for shutting down the pipeline.
More than a few small towns along the line will be burned down with numerous deaths.
So, don't cross Cho Bi Dinh or you might die.
