Donald Trump was, in my opinion, our best president since Ronald Reagan, rather easily. His achievements are impressive: the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, the biggest and most successful deregulatory effort ever, improved trade deals, record low unemployment, substantial wage growth for middle-class and working-class families for the first time in decades, encouraging development of oil and gas resources, pushing back against political correctness, critical race theory, and so on. And in the end, Operation Warp Speed, lowering regulatory barriers to accelerate development of covid vaccines in record time.
Trump’s foreign policy record was equally impressive:

This is only a pause. Trump is not done with the swamp just yet. The creatures have revealed themselves.

"But he made too many mistakes, and his combativeness came across to too many voters as belligerence and egomania. That was what sank him in the end."
Really, John? Is that why he got more votes than anybody in history? I kinda think it was that cheating thing that sank him.

Aside from the virus and voting fraud......the ignorance of the American voting public defeated President Trump. To ignore Trump's amazing accomplishments because he rubbed you the wrong way is just plain dumb. Maybe they will have second thoughts when gas prices hit $5 per gallon once again like under obama.

There were TOO many voters. Most of them were simply made up. They had nothing to do with anything Trump did. Instead of trying to blame him, how about a story on a couple of pivotal characters who stole the election? The corrupt GA politicians, the election officials and others. There are millions of American citizens who would love to know more about the people who destroyed our country for our children. You won't do that though and we all know why. Better, braver, writers/journalists/reports might, but you won't.

Washington has seen to it that a pro-American outsider like Trump will ever win again. Both parties were in on it. Perhaps we need term limits in the Senate? Especially if rigged elections cannot be overturned.

The swamp may have won this battle but I think President Trump is very close to winning the ideological war. Like many perhaps, I had my doubts about the swamp/deep state. I chalked up much of what we saw to bureaucratic inertia. Boy, was I wrong. PDJT has opened the eyes of many to this very real and malignant entity. It can run but it can no longer hide.

For a long time I have thought that Trump's ego and accomplishments in business, TV, etc worked against him in Washington. If he had asked for letters of resignation from high level swamp critter holdovers from the Obama administration the day after he was elected and cleaned house, he wouldn't have had to put up with them for 4 years. Maybe he thought he could win them over to his side because that is the way he handles people. As it is his trusted inner circle was never very large. Even with the deck stacked against him, he accomplished so much more than one president has ever accomplished for the American people. A lot of it will probably be dismantled, but he showed the people what can be done with a businessman at the helm, rather than a politician who's main job in the Washington swamp is to stay there.

So, I am giving the author of this article a C- on this. Several things (but not all) that influenced my grading--almost as presumptuous as the author's "B+"-- are:1. Reagan was HATED by D.C. and by the Dems, his pleasantness notwithstanding 2. Pres Trump's enemies made a BIG DEAL about his verbosity; really most people who supported him, that is, over half the country, thought he was funny, or on-target, or didn't give a damn. 3. Pres Trump's greatest "sin" was not his personality, it was his courage and his honesty.

I think Mr. Hinderaker is myopic. At the VERY least: you have to ask, which came first — the chicken (hatred and hostility) or the egg (PDJT’s “mean” tweets.)
My vote is the chicken. You’d be irritable, too, if you were lied to, and about, and hated to the core. And in the end, despised because you love this country.
How perverse is that.

Apparently, JH never attended a Trump rally or Trump march or Trump flotilla.... attended by hundreds and thousands of enthusiastic supporters from across the country. As an enthusiastic Trump supporter myself, I appreciated that finally we had a president who would stand up and fight for us...fearlessly and tirelessly. If JH prefers someone who is unctuous, then Biden is his guy.
I miss President Trump already.🇺🇸

Mr. President, shall we get on with it and start planning for 2024. You still got the legs and push for it. How about let's have that first planning meeting at Mar-a-Lago. Starting with designing an election fraud prevention strategy.

The worst anti-Trump swamp creatures that Trump has “outed” big-time are the DC UniParty Republicans. They screwed Trump at every turn and were the people who recommended a lot of White House staffers to Trump who turned out to be turncoats, or not loyal, and at every chance covertly leaked all sorts of information gleaned in confidential White House meetings to the liberal media.

The swamp won because otherwise patriotic Americans couldn't find stiff enough backbones and were unwilling to step out of their comfort zone and sacrifice their comforts and pleasures here and there. Sounds like some establishment politicians weren't about to step outside of what their constituents were doing, not just what they were saying and/or wanting others to do on their behalf, which is what normal people expect their leaders to do. As the ultimate "rulers" of our Nation, WTP ought not to get any more of a pass for our resolute actions than those elected to represent us, excepting Donald Trump, who did hang out there on our behalf.

The fight is not over, and Trump is not done. We are re-arming, and will back, better informed, more determined, more focused. The enemy is now personified. Biden.
