Bill Sammon and Chris Stirewalt

Two executives involved in the early call of Arizona for Joe Biden on Election Night, angering many conservatives, are no longer employed at the cable network whose ratings took a subsequent nosedive. Both have been lightning rods for conservatives since the election. The Associated Press reports: Bill Sammon, senior vice president and managing editor at Fox’s Washington bureau, announced his retirement to staff members on Monday. On Tuesday, as part of a restructuring of Fox’s digital operations, politics editor Chris Stirewalt was let go. Fox’s decision to call Arizona for Biden took the network’s anchors by surprise and infuriated the White House, which believed the determination was premature.

8, The polls were closed in AZ when they made that call. That did not change the election. It just stuck a big fat Stirewalt shaped finger in the eye. It was telling, but it was not altering anything.

All this is doing is taking down two big salaries. It's the start of massive layoffs (Fox Digital worker bees have already been decimated) due to their going woke. Eventually it will take out other big salaries. Hannity is practically inviting FNC to take him off. Carlson and Ingraham may remain as their tokens. Lou Dobbs will be retired. Sad, as both Verizon and ATT are being pushed to deplatform Newsmax and OANN. This will also hit the streamers like Pluto.

They need to get rid of a lot more covert liberal Democrats, besides the two fall guys who have already been kicked out, who have weaseled their way into the Fox on screen talent pool. Even if they do that may well be too late, as according to reports Fox has already lost about 40% of their reliable viewers. Talk about an corporate entity committing suicide.

We are never coming back. The most consequential election in our lifetime was lost bc FOX called AZ ridiculously early and not calling other states like early like TX and FL that were solidly Trump. This opened the door for the swing states to stop counting and manafacture the votes they needed to win. FOX can burn in hell along with McConnell and the GOP. Whatever new party Trump creates we are all solidly behind him.

I think the polls were c!osed in AZ but people already in line before c!osing were still allowed to vote. That call for AZ was the signal for the other states to stop counting and start creating votes. They were part of a conspiracy to steal the election, plain and simple. Not calling OH, FL, TX was to keep Trump behind in electoral votes all night.

I hope nobody thought Fox was our friend to begin with. Like any other smart marketer they saw an opportunity to sell advertising by attracting an audience in a large under served virtually unserved market and they filled the void. It's a common approach some refer to as the loose brick strategy. It is possible that they were gagging the entire time while profiting on something they themselves found distasteful and it's possible changes at the top caused them to chose ideology over profit. It's a business not a social club. Before you fall in love with Newsmax of OAN be open to the possibility that they may be choosing profits over ideology.

The early call of Arizona was inexcusable. It took weeks after the election to finish counting. No other network made the early call--not CNN, not MSNBC. It took all of the wind out of what looked like a big Trump win and justified questionable results in other swing states. Fox lost me forever with that call.

Conservatives are happily gloating over the fact that Andrew Cuomo is at, or rapidly approaching, his nadir. (snip) Cuomo's pandering has always been coarse, heavy-handed, and insincere. Though he is hardly a closet conservative, and probably genuinely supports these policies, it has always been obvious that Cuomo manipulated leftist identity groups so that they would have no alternative but to vote for him and make him governor-for-life. (Indeed, until only a few weeks ago, Cuomo seemed to be a shoo-in for a fourth term). Eventually, though, it became clear that the leftist identity-politics groups were getting tired of getting the pimp hand from Cuomo

Meghan Markle, it seems, isn't much of a scholar. While much of the focus has been on her barbs accusing the British royal family of abnormal interest in her baby's skin color and denying him a title and personal security protection supposedly because he is black and they are racists, what's striking to me is how unprepared she was for the royal role she sought when she married Prince Harry. And not just ignorant, but willfully ignorant, proud of her ignorance, flippantly stating she never did "any research," as if that's something to be proud of.

Though the populist tide seems to have ebbed, it will rise again, and soon. The problem that ignited populist sentiment in the first place, whether on the left or the right, remains: the country’s economic and financial system has failed much of the population and is rigged to the benefit of a government-business elite. Resistance to this inequity elevated Trump and pulled the Democratic Party to the left and will continue to roil American politics until things change. The economy’s “rigging” has developed gradually over time and often from the best of intentions.

No, conference goers didn't gather to spread conspiracy theories. No, they didn't bow down to a golden statue of Trump. And no, the stage wasn't designed to pay homage to Nazi symbology. Fascism, a form of big government, is hated among conservatives. Outsiders in the mainstream media really piled on the hate. "There will be no policy debates," claimed an MSNBC opinion columnist. That's false. The truth, it seems, was of no value in reporting on this year's Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC). Among speeches from high-profile Republicans were dozens of panels and debates on a broad spectrum of policy issues — which was the purpose of the gathering.
