What’s going on in

The last time I checked, this was the USA. A free country. A country where, when mobs of thugs were destroying Minneapolis, Portland, Kenosha, and other cities, the media reacted in horror at the suggestion that a few National Guard troops might help return calm for the residents trying to live peacefully in their homes, do business as much as possible in the circumstances, and stay afloat during a pandemic. As Portland’s Mayor Ted Wheeler said when offered federal troops to quell the violence, “This is not the America we want.” The very idea is repugnant! Now, I am seeing pictures of Washington DC preparing to inaugurate Biden

Despite theories to the contrary, I believe the large NG presence in DC is just a leftist stunt. Purely for optics. They are whipping the "Capitol Riot" hysteria up to 11. These troops are not going to arrest Biden and place Trump back in power.

Transparently ludicrous. People are watching this marxist charade. In another article there was a request from the Xiden team to disarm the NG stationed near where the chinese president elect will be taking the public oath of office. Not kidding. Why the heck would they announce that? Why the heck would the secret service allow them to announce that, if the threat was in any way remotely possible? Absolutely ludicrous.

The razorwire and the armed National Guard make a great photo-op background for the new Politburo. It will be great to compare annually to see who has been unpersonned from the previous year.

I wish all the republicans like Ted Cruz would stay away but then they are republicans and join the enemy in the Uniparty.

The irony of the fence around the Capitol as the incoming administration condemns the wall on our border - which almost looks flimsy in comparison. This show of force is tantamount to the false prophet's strong-arm tactics during closure of the government. We must learn to respect those in charge.

The Elites were shaken to their core by the skirmish at the Capital on the 6th. Before, they thought the rubes in flyover country were too stupid and bovine to fight. Now, in typical coward fashion, they've overreacted and turned D.C. into a police state to protect themselves. Also, it is likely that counter demonstrators would outnumber supporters at Biden's inauguration. Can't have that. Anyone with information is free to provide it to AT through an email to the editor. I've done it myself several times, and they write me back and thank me within 24 hours.

This is a show, not unlike everything the democrats have staged for the past four years to attempt to impress upon the people that they are the annointed rulers and they have power behind them. Let them have their inauguration show. We have 75 million people who have the real power - if only we can collectively decide to use it instead of becoming democrats' sheep. I just got a text from a friend in another state who says that their Republican party sent out a message saying that the DC government had sworn in all the NG troop as "special US marshals". I have no idea if this is fact or not. After mulling this over for a few minutes, I realized that the Posse Commitatus Act makes it illegal for military troops to work as law enforcement inside the US. But, if they were converted to "special US marshals" they would be federal law enforcement, and that would have at least a fig leaf to cover their violation of the Posse act by using NG troops as LE. Is there even such a thing as this "special marshall"? I have no idea, but like this author, the events in DC are chilling, and entirely unAmerican. Clearly something bad is happening there.

We are at the end of the United States of America if the NG can be ordered to fire on unarmed citizens. They took an oath upon enlistment to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States, and to obey the LAWFUL orders of their superiors. Unlawful orders violating the rights enumerated in the constitution are to be ignored by a lawfully deployed military. Soldiers enlist in order to protect civilians. Polident Biden must be in fear of his electorate in order to call up this show of force that has been denied citizens enduring Leftist riots for the past 4 years. This is very curious since he garnered more ballots in the election than any other presidential candidate in our country's history.

I sure wish I had not learned so much over the last five years. In retrospect, five short years ago seems almost like Mayberry. Here are some important things that I didn’t know five years ago or now. There actually is a deep state and they really do not honor the election results nor the will of the people. There really appear to be lawless elements within the upper echelons of the FBI, CIA, and NSA who are not accountable for their crimes and are thus above the law. The fourth branch of government, the bureaucracy, really is unaccountable to the "unwashed masses."

Yes, there were more law enforcement than spectators at this strange inauguration, reminiscent of a Soviet May Day parade, but it was anticlimactic, at least to the many expecting a long-awaited storm, unleashed by Trump supporters, supposedly on the deep state, during former (I hate to use that word) President Trump’s final days in office.

Democrats are ambivalent about the military, something clear from their approach to the inauguration. The Democrats summoned 26,000 National Guard troops to D.C., purportedly to protect Joe Biden from rioters. They then accused those same troops of being potentially dangerous White supremacists. Many of the troops responded, not by being dangerous, because they’re patriotic, constitutionally guided Americans, but by apparently turning their backs on Joe Biden.Sure, some have argued that the backward-facing troops were providing operational security, protecting the president from attacks from beyond as his motorcade drove by. But a look at the video shows that only some units have some troops facing Biden
