U.S. President-elect Joe Biden is planning to cancel the permit for the $9 billion Keystone XL pipeline project as one of his first acts in office, and perhaps as soon as his first day, according to a source familiar with his thinking. President Donald Trump had made building the pipeline a central promise of his presidential campaign. Biden, who will be inaugurated on Wednesday, was vice president in the Obama administration when it rejected the project as contrary to its efforts to combat climate change.(Snip)The project, which would move oil from the province of Alberta to Nebraska, had been slowed by legal issues

What's the over/under on how many months until we see Obama-style $4 a gallon gas? We all saw what expensive gas did our economy in the past, and here it comes again.

Gas prices will skyrocket as they cut off domestic oil production which will mean we start importing oil from Saudi Arabia again. $5/gallon will seem cheap. This is designed to push people into electric vehicles. Just the beginning of higher costs for everything. Wait till they make minimum wage $15/hr then expect it to go up even higher.

Will it even dawn on the typical democrat that this is some of what they voted for? Higher fuel prices, higher home heating prices, ridiculous tax increases, millions more unemployed, tens of thousands more illegals storming across the border, reparations for people that were never even alive during slavery, amnesty and freebies for 20 million illegals already here, universal healthcare run by incompetent, uncaring government paper-shufflers, being called a 'racist' at the drop of a hat, losing the First and Second Amendments...and on and on and....

#1, it’s not there yet but I’m already seeing the prices rise by as much as 50 cents per gallon. Everyone knows that the pipeline will be shut down, there will be no more fracking and that the mullahs are going to control the prices from here on out.

As I recall one of the first things the Clinton admin did was cancel the Superconducting Supercollider out of spite of Bush 41 and Texans. All of the benefits went to Europe. Now Canada will build the pipeline to their west coast and ship the oil to Asia. China will benefit. Dims hate Americans.

Maybe this is an election fraud promise he made to his Chinese vote manipulators? China is constructing a pipeline from Alberta to BC and this is over a mountain range and the cool part, over major fault lines with no engineering experience. If the Keystone is completed it will be a lower cost per barrel transport to refined products on the Louisiana coast. But that reduces the supply to the riggers?

obama/biden's regime can work the system... BUT... Americans saw the progress WE made under President Trump... that can't be erased...President Trump is not losing his base... in fact...he's picking up new followers because of the impeachment...Illinois saw an increase of 11% in gas prices the day Pence turned his back on the president...the obama era has come back...wonder who is pulling his strings...he's compromised with his coke habit and his strange relationships...his lifestyle is very expensive and he's in someone's pocket...China?... or iran?

The pipeline from the Baaken to Cushing is finished. The pipeline from Cushing to Memphis is finished. We've been able to get oil via pipeline from western North Dakota/east Montana to the Gulf (well, with a short barge ride from Memphis to NOLA on the Mississippi) since the end of the Magic Marxist's presidency. This Weekend-At-Bernie's Marxist controllers' edict is screwing over Canada, not us...yet.

Really should hold all these climate change/environmentalists feet to the fire. Forbid their purchase and use of anything that is derived from gas, petroleum, coal, etc. see how long they last. Make them entirely dependent on their alternate forms of energy and food production.

Reuters uses the tried-and-true method for keeping the masses in line - linking the cancellation to evil Trump. They expect a Pavlovian response that, if Trump was for it, it's bad. They will get the desired response from half the country.
They also hide the level of anger this has created in Canada. One official called it "a punch in the face." Even Justin Trudeau is upset. Informing the masses that Biden is damaging relations with a key ally and trading partner does not fit the narrative of Joe rebuilding relations that Trump destroyed.
When energy costs rise, they will be told to blame greedy energy companies. And the indoctrinated masses will fall in line.

We don't have a pipeline and I see gas prices at around two bucks, depending on state taxes. Demand for petroleum for the purpose of powering cars is never going to return to the halcyon days of the 1960s, gas-guzzlers. My car today cranks out over 300 hp and gets around 30 mpg on the highway at 70 mph. Like drilling an ANWR, the ability to produce oil with new tech, like fracking, makes this largely excess. Why drag oil across a continent when it can be brought to refineries from closer sources with already producing wells? Fact is, the traditional oil companies are getting deeply into alternatives, and profiting.

President Trump approved the construction of this pipeline four years ago. Why the hell hasn’t work on the American side been started? Had work been started even the fool Biden would have thought twice before throwing thousands out of work.
I’m sickened that our wonderful president will be leaving town but he did have a problem in following through on many things. This country is a nightmare of mindless bureaucrats, fascist environmentalists and corrupt lawyers. We can’t seem to get anything useful built.

This should not be a surprise to anyone. He is instituting Obama Regime 2.0. The same socialist functions under Obama will be reinstituted and the socialist march will continue. Everything that Trump did will be undone, including the disrespect for America by other leaders in the world. It's putting into place the UN Agenda 21 that was partially done under Obama. One World Order is the function of the day.

Fortunately the Democrats always overreach. So when they take action on the energy front that jacks up the fuel prices, with gasoline prices again back to the Obama-Biden era of over $4.00 a gallon, that will be bound to cause the Democrats to loose the off year 2022 congressional elections.
