How Did Officer Brian Sicknick Die?

Original Article

Days after the death of Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick during the DC riots, there remains a cloud of uncertainty as to how he died.(Snip) no official description of the attack on Sicknick, 42, has been given. A report in The New York Times that cites “two law enforcement officials” the Times did not name, said Sicknick was hit on the head with a fire extinguisher during Wednesday’s rioting at the U.S. Capitol.(Snip) Moreover, the website ProPublica offered a different explanation. It quoted Ken Sicknick, whom the site identified as the late officer’s brother, as saying that Brian Sicknick had communicated with his family and never mentioned a fire extinguisher attack.

Comments:

The family has not wanted his death to become a “political pingpong ball” - they understand what is happening. His death is a big blot on the President and his supporters if they can prove it or at least say that fire extinguisher story enough times that the notion of proof just evaporates.

Re #1, Ashli Babbitt - and I agree. But they’ve built her into someone who was climbing through a glass door pane full of large sharp shards of glass. And shot before she did so (if crawling through is what she had been doing - one witness said she was putting her cellphone through - she’d have fallen in the opening and been impaled on the fixed glass shard sticking up from the bottom of the pane’s frame. Instead she pitched straight back to the floor on the side where she’d been standing. I know. Don’t confuse them with the facts.

Here is a description of the person who murdered Ashli Babbitt: Rep. Markwayne Mullin (R-OK) said on Good Morning America. “When they broke the glass in the back, the [police] lieutenant that was there—him and I already had multiple conversations prior to this—and he didn’t have a choice at that time. The mob was going to come through the door, there was a lot of members and staff that were in danger at the time. And when he [drew] his weapon, that’s a decision that’s very hard for anyone to make and, once you draw your weapon like that, you have to defend yourself with deadly force.” https://www.thedailybeast.com/officer-who-killed-ashli-babbitt-air-force-vet-in-capitol-riot-didnt-have-a-choice-gop-lawmaker-says A Capitol police lieutenant, who’d had his weapon drawn before she even approached the glass according to video. The way I see it, CapPD has been denying any of their people died as a result of the events at the Capitol. However there supposedly was a suicide of one of their officers. If it was a Trump supporter who did that, they would gladly shout that news from the rooftops of DC. I think if something like that happened for real, it was Antifa, and they cannot admit that, for it blows the whole narrative. Like #1, I want to know who shot Ashli Barrett, a retired AF Vet, who was a better human than most of the LE officers in DC are. Just saying.

I was thinking the same as #5. It’s early for a full autopsy report, but surely he’d have had signs of trauma to his head. There is no verification that he was hit with a fire extinguisher. He went back to his office and later collapsed and was taken to hospital. Someone said his head was bashed in, but no one saw that happen and it didn’t fit his story. He talked to his brother and never mentioned anything like that. The exertion of “engaging” with the protesters (some of the officers got involved with full hand to hand, throwing punches, and appeared at times to be the aggressors. I wonder if we’ll ever find out the truth.

fta And when he [drew] his weapon, that’s a decision that’s very hard for anyone to make and, once you draw your weapon like that, you have to defend yourself with deadly force.” That's either misleading, ignorant or a lie - I've drawn a weapon probably a thousand or more times, pointed at a person probably a couple of hundred times and never fired (at a person). From what I saw on the limited video there was no reason to fire, especially into a crowd as it appeared the shooter did.

I sorry, I don’t buy that Ashli Babbitt had to be killed. She was one person, not a mob. There were plenty of police there on the outside, at least. Will we ever get more information on what really happened?

The officer died of a blood clot to the brain. Sometimes that just happens. No evidence at all that he was injured by the protesters. All claims that he was "killed" are falsehoods, by the Enemedia. Of the "seven dead" (Enemedia claim) ONE was murdered by Capitol police for no reason. All the rest died of "medical conditions", and apparently none of them actually on site where there was anything significant going on. Folks in the crowd having a heart attack within a few blocks being lumped in? Apparently so. Who shot Ashli Babbitt?

A Moral Battle 3 replies

For a long time, the underlying argument against the progressive social experiment was that it could not work. Conservative Inc., of course, could never bring themselves to say it was immoral, which it is, so instead they stuck to the practical end of things. Socialism, for example, could not provide the material excess we see with capitalism. (Snip)The fact remains that the best argument against the progressive agenda is the moral argument. The left in America, unlike in Europe, has always been a moral crusade. Their interest in practical matters, like economics or democracy, is out of convenience, not sincere interest. They treat these things like a bus that they
