On Tuesday, Uganda punched back at Facebook and Twitter by banning them from the internet after the two companies started censoring Uganda officials ahead of the election in the country.
"We demand that @Facebook & @Twitter write directly to the individuals that lost their accounts. Since @Facebook cited @MoICT_Ug in their statement, let them write to us so that there’s a chance for a fair hearing. Accounts lost on Facebook belong to @GovUganda employees," tweeted Uganda Media Centre.
Check out what Reuters reported:
In a letter seen by Reuters to internet service providers dated Jan. 12, Uganda’s communications regulator ordered them to block all social media platforms and messaging apps
That's what we really need. We need more countries that admire the USA and Trump push back at these tyrants. If they can do it to us they certainly can do it to them. Talk about meddling and collusion.

As we used to say in NYC, 'wadda you know!' Not overly fond of Uganda, but I am impressed that they tell Dorsey and Zuckerberg where to go! It will take a little while but others will build their own platforms now and these little dictator guys should go where Fox is going!

Nemesis is raging like a loosed Kraken! Big Tech begins building their authoritarian power using the Capitol incident as righteous justification for arrogantly canceling thousands of innocent people's free speech. Within a few days, they overreach and extend their censorship to uninvolved countries, effectively eclipsing their righteous clams of protecting people from Trump and refocusing attention on their egregious, naked lust for the power to control human civilization.

Embarrassing to think Uganda's government has more moxie than ours in this matter. It appears they will not allow Zuckerberg, et al, to meddle in Uganda's upcoming election. I bet they're not using Dominion machines to record the vote, either. Meanwhile, our gutless state and federal electeds cower...or supplicate for bux.

BRAVO UGANDA!!! An African country shows more sense and courage than our legislative bodies. Dump Facebook and Whatsap they are tools used by Zuckerberg to spy on you using meta-data.

Uganda is a very beautiful country, and it has the first saints in Africa. When I was in Kampala I went to noon Mass on a weekday and the Church was already filling up with people who came early for the Rosary. In the end as I recall they had to broadcast the homily outdoors. I went for a weekend in a national park by myself and I was cherished by staff and had a wonderful time. They served Merryland chicken and I thought it was a good name.

I'm feeling a bit better today that I was yesterday.
I don't know if this government in Uganda is worth praising or not. Might just be a bunch of despots. But after today, I get the impression that the left has moved a bit too fast and just might be in for a train wreck.
President Trump has been awfully quiet. Granted, his tech options are few, but this is usually a good sign.

Uganda knows that if they can censor the leader of the free world with impunity, what will they do to the rest of the world? Merkel was right to condemn Twitter. All nations that have internet and allow social media need to start tightening the screws on them. If just for their own protection and self survival.

The serial explosions on the Big Tech Death Star are just starting. Poland had just passed a law with massive fines if any social media ban their citizens for posts that are lawful in their country. Australia had just announced they are looking at a similar policy.
Memo to Congress and the Supreme Court: why do the citizens of Uganda, Poland, and Australia have more protections for freedom of speech than the citizens of the United States?!

Uganda makes more sense than US liberal traitors. Can’t call them Americans. Americans are good, honest people.
