Get Ready for the Biden Gun Grab

Original Article

Democrats now have single-party control of the federal government. President Joe Biden styled himself as the most moderate candidate his party had to offer. And still, during the campaign he promised to put Beto O’Rourke – the man who blurted out “Hell yes, we’re going to take your AR-15s” in charge of his administration’s gun policies. Whether or not President Biden and gun czar Beto aim for a program of national gun confiscation, we should expect some sort of major crackdown against the Second Amendment and against our other liberties. The congressmen who ducked, covered, and cowered – in now iconic photos –

I anticipate a LOT of "fishing accidents," if this happens.

Although the Biden administration can chip at the edges of the Second Amendment with executive orders, they need legislation to do extensive damage, which the GOP can stop with filibusters. Joe Manchin is on the record that he would vote against elimination of the filibuster, but he can’t be trusted. Manchin is a snake. He is the most disingenuous critter in Congress.

To quote another, "In combat, the three things you want to deny the enemy is the ability to shoot, move and communicate. Also, pay no attention to the fact that Democrats want to ban your guns, have you on lock-down so you can't leave your house, and are shutting down all non-communist controlled means of communication."

I live in Polk County Florida. Our head LEO, Sheriff Grady Judd, has declared the County a 2nd Amendment Sanctuary. They would have to take him down to try to enforce any gun grab here. I believe trying to remove a duly elected High Sheriff for protecting his citizens 2A rights, which he is sworn to do, is a bridge to far.

They will take your guns by banning you in other ways--your credit card doesn't work, your bank won't give you any money, your grocery store won't sell you any food, your employer fires you, etc., etc. At what point will we decide that enough is enough? And by then, I hope it isn't too late!

Good for Polk County. Given what's happened in some counties in Texas over Covid restrictions, I'm not hopeful the LEAs would be on par with Polk County.

The gun stores have been entirely devoid of any handgun ammunition and most rifle ammunition in .223 and .308 since the fall of 2019. I took a niece out to purchase some cleaning gear and practice ammo for her new handgun in about September of 2019, and the shelves were bare of ALL handgun ammo in the three large gun stores that we visited that afternoon. I couldn't even find in nice, compact cleaning kit at any of them. I eventually found the cleaning gear, but ammo has been impossible to find in her very common caliber. That was well before the pandemic pushed things over the edge. As to guns left to buy, I haven't been in a gun store in months, but all the online sellers have little in stock. And all the online sellers have NO ammo in stock. For example, 9mm ammunition represents 186 discrete SKUs on one of the larger online sellers. Of those, NONE of them are available in stock to ship. All say "temporarily unavailable" and have said that for at least 9 months. If you didn't already have your guns and ammunition in hand in 2019, you are unlikely to have gotten much ammo, and limited guns in 2020. It will only get worse. And the ammunition factories report that are running three shifts in most cases, and have emptied their warehouses of their built up stocks. It is not a supply shortage it is demand totally outpacing supply. Gee, I wonder why?

I’ll give the requisite warning that there will be at least some level of Ron DeSantis fanboying contained in this article. With that out of the way, DeSantis once again today showed why he’s cut from a different piece of cloth that most other Republican politicians, especially those that reside within the beltway in D.C. With big tech cracking down on internet speech, specifically conservative viewpoints, it’s far past time for the GOP to fight back in ways they can. While there’s little that can be done at the national level now because Trump and the Republican Senate squandered those opportunities the last four years, there’s plenty that can happen downstream.

Their rush to punish could become their own undoing. In the climate change fiasco of a film ‘’The Day After Tomorrow’’ we are presented with a number of ridiculous premises. One, in particular, came to mind this weekend with the oppressive acts we saw emanating from Silicon Valley. In a later scene a weather system descends on New York, delivering a massive drop in temperature in a matter of seconds, so frigid that it manages to freeze a helicopter in mid-air. Jake Gyllenhaal’s character sees this frosty threat and runs to get back to a safe room where there is a fireplace burning, racing through hallways that become encrusted with ice.

Democrats are out for blood, emboldened by the idiotic alt-right fools who rushed the Capitol last week, and they are seemingly going to play every card they have. Impeachment is already being talked about, perhaps even after Biden’s inauguration, in order to ban Trump from every holding office again. But if that wasn’t dumb enough, Nancy Pelosi is now looking at the 14th Amendment as a way to expel Republican members of the House for supposedly taking part in an “insurrection.”
