Good move, but will they get a judge or court who will hear it?

I canceled my Amazon Prime membership yesterday. A full refund was deposited today in my bank account, even though I had made some transactions since renewing it. So...nothing lost.

The hypocrisy is astounding, and so blatant, it's apparent they have no concerns about being held to account for anything. Facebook, Google, Amazon, Apple, etc. all hide behind section 230, which shelters them from liability arising out of content posted by users, because the are just a platform and not the content provider. Yet now these same companies turn around and hold Parler liable for content posted by its users, even though Parler is just a platform, not the content provider.

It is hard to not use Amazon for purchases. But maybe we should order in a way that imposes the highest possible delivery expense. Small orders, all separate, just enough to qualify for free shipping.

I call bogus on #5. There are other resources than Amazon - I cancelled our Amazon Prime back in June. I also cancelled my whole account and haven't missed it since.

You know what would be fun. Order stuff from Amazon Prime and return it for a full refund. They pay shipping both ways so they are running at a loss on that transaction. Keep doing it until they throw you off, If 70 million of us do it they might see a little strength in numbers and repent.

You know, I too thought cancelling my Amazon Prime would make buying tough and a whole lot more expensive but I started looking around and found out MOST stuff (except for the cheap Chinese crapthey peddle for the biggest profit) is seriously marked up to cover the "free" shipping. Chewy for pet stuff. iHerb , Vitamin Shoppe, and BodyBuilding. com for vitamins and protein powder. Buy special food items from the vendors themselves. Most have free or reduced shipping now. Boot Amazon. You can live without them.

By law, the defendants must now be under a do not destroy order. I bet the social media idiots are deleting everything they can. If I were on the plaintiff team, I'd ask the judge for every email, phone record, note, tweet, text, etc. from these execs to any member of US or China governments as well as internal employees (since the social medias like to hide behind the action of their employees). The discovery phase could be a real bi-atch for the social medias (and hopefully democrats and CCP).

Outside of our biased judiciary, I don't see how Amazon can defend itself. Hope they lose billions and the shareholders take it out of Bezos hide.

Everyone damaged by this must sue and then legislation must be passed to break up their monopoly. Control of the internet should not belong to large corporations.

Well, I hope they win but with the corrupt judges these days, I wonder if they have any chance.
And it will take ten years.

I hope that Parler starts a legal defense fund because I will gladly donate.
I cancelled my Amazon Prime membership this morning and here’s what I plan to do from now on - search the Amazon site for what I need and then order it directly from the source, bypassing Amazon completely. According to my account I saved a whopping $140 in shipping fees with my membership last year. As Fingers Biden would say, BFD. I’ll happily pay shipping fees if it means taking business away from the evil Bezos.

I'm not a lawyer, but the elements of this case certainly look good for Parler. I hope they clean up and take a good chunk of Jeff Bezos's fortune. Ditto for Google and Apple.

#9, Amazon is NOT a private company and neither is Twitter.

What #16 does. I search on Amazon and order directly from the source, especially if the item is over $100. Amazon rarely has the best price so In most cases it saves money.
