Democrat lawmakers are pressing towards impeaching President Donald Trump again, and I fully support their efforts. Indeed, I consider this move to be best for the country and the Republican Party.
But I don’t support impeachment for the same reasons as columnist David French and National Review’s Andrew McCarthy. Unlike them, I’m not interested in pitiful attempts to seek favor from the left by pandering to their worst impulses.
I am merely observing a maxim coined by Napoleon Bonaparte: “Never interfere with your enemy when he is making a mistake.”(Snip)The Democrats’ effort to impeach President Trump after he is out of office will not only fail, but it will backfire on

I think the left, by now, has made it clear the Constitution is so much rhetoric to them. They have no intention of letting the law of the land holding up their CCP driven quests.

Fine, they will look like overreaching fools again. But as for helping out in 2022 & 2024, good luck with that. This election showed fraud is not going to be punished, so next time they will do it again, even down ballot.

Bring on impeachment. Then we will have a forum for the evidence of election theft

First, I don't agree at all with this strategy, regardless of how clever this person thinks it is. Does anyone really think it would make the Democrats look any more ridiculous or lose followers? They're already up to 13 on the insanity scale of 1 to 10.
Second, I guess I'm one of the few who doesn't think that the least week was disastrous for conservatives, regardless of how many enemedia types and how many RINOs got the vapors and pontificated about how shameful it all was. It was the first time in my life that a sizable segment of the conservative actually arose and took real action to show they will no longer sit by while the Democrats massively cheat for the hundredth time. And I believe that genuinely shocked the hell out of both the Democrats and the RINOs. And it scared them too. That's a good thing
They need to be scared enough to wonder what might happen next time. My sense is this was just a 2-minute warning of what's going to happen next if they keep yanking our chain. I'm not sure they fully understand that.

The Democrats are winning or stealing everything. I don't think they care what others think. The Democrats stole this election, and they will steal the elections in 2022 and 2024. Basing our lives on 2 or 4 years from now, pretty soon we are dead, and it won't matter. We are told not to be violent, even by the conservatives, licking up the subject set by the Democrats. What a red herring! Nonsense! Don't any conservative insult Trump followers with this spin again! It is not appreciated! The Democrats have changed the subject from the theft of this election, and the overthrow of the government, to somebody, they say invading the capitol. Where is the investigation of that? The Democrats will tell us what happened, and we will never see any evidence. We have been overthrown by the Democrats with the Chinese helping full scale. They have declared war on us, and you can bet they will use force. There are 200M dead from the last century, all dead from leftist use of force.

Going by the rules has played right into the coup. The rules don't matter if the criminal is confident they have the courts, the politicians and most of all, the media as accomplishes. It is pretty clear what they would like to do, and what they intend to do. They are openly talking about stripping all rights from selected people, reeducating their 'enemies' and even executions. I'm pretty sure skinning someone and rolling them in salt would kill them. They don't care. They have created a climate where you can be doxed and hounded out of a job or business. The world has seen this before. In Europe last century and in Asia right now. I don't think playing defense is working. They are not afraid. At least not in sewer cities run by rats. They intend to deputize vicious criminals and crazies to do their dirty work. I think rather than trying to fight a maniac, it would be better to really go after the leaders of this crime. Considering that the horrid hillary has been thumbing her nose at the law and the rat 'opposition' for decades, I'm not hopeful, but you never know.

I do not support this. The thought of once again seeing that nasty wench with her sardonic smile walking with her impeachment papers like she has a corn cob in a painful place is more than I can bear.

Fully agree with #5.
Further, embarrassing and denigrating our President after he has left office does not seem like a very noble plan. The Democrats will look bad to whom? Certainly not to big Tech, the media, the globalists, or each other. They will cheer and celebrate regardless of whether an impeachment is successful or not.
Imho, this is a horrible idea and one that will only add more degradation to the already sullied reputation of this nation.

Captain Ahab (Nancy and the Uniparty) has their Moby Dick (Donald J Trump). They are scared to death of sailing the political seas because of him. And they will do their darndess to try to gut him politically. Go ahead Nancy do your thing but DJT is the political terminator, he'll be back. And with a force of millions behind him. The MAGA party will replace the current Whigs (GOP). We will always put America and Americans first.

#5 completely agree. There is actually nothing shocking that a small fringe of the 100’s of thousands that attended the peaceful rally broke off from the group and went overboard and bad things happened. This has literally been going on all 2020 with the blm protests.

I'm with #5. Strategic surrender is surrender, and it does not help your own side. The January 6 events were not as bad as the BLM summer and it is more painful hypocrisy to hear it said otherwise. The day will come and not far off, when Biden/Harris are openly seen as a catastrophe. On that day, which is coming, the rally will be seen in retrospect as wisdom, and grandchildren are likelier to ask whether you were on the Ellipse and if not, why not.

But isn't Pelosi planning a vote on impeachment now? The Senate could, in theory, vote on it after Trump is out of office. In court, it would be tossed as moot, but with impeachment, who knows? One thing I do know, if the Republicans ever went along with something like this, it would be the end for them.

The GOP is of no consequence going forward. Election fraud has been implemented and will remain in our system forever! We are now a banana republic! Once Joe puts his economic plans in place we will be a real loser commie country! Shared misery for all but the connected and very wealthy! Get ready! Buy Gold and Silver and get out of cash and the markets!

#19, according to Alan Dershowitz who is no conservative, a president can not be impeached once he has left office. And the senate will not be back in session until 1/19. So impeachment won’t be happening and neither will the 25th amendment if Pence doesn’t turn even more of a traitor. Granted, that is a big IF, but as much as I distrust him, I don’t see him doing that.
The best that the left can hope for is to try and get PDT through the courts after he has left office on things like taxes and business deals.
My hope is that he will grant pardons to himself, everyone in his family, everyone in his cabinet and to the few senators and congressmen who have supported him. Once that’s done, he should release, unredacted, every bit of information he has on the left’s actions of the last 12 years.

Mr. Charles: " I support the overthrow of our Republic, and so should you"
" I support the elimination of freedom of speech, and so should you"
" I support the erasure of a government by the people, for the people, and
so should you"
" I support One Party Rule, and so should you"
Thanks, Chucky, wouldn't know what to support without you telling me.

How can it backfire? Don't you people get it? They make the laws now. The Constitution is dead. Who's there to defend it? The courts?
