New thought crime:
calling Stacey Abrams ‘fat’

Original Article

Posted By: Magnante, 1/9/2021 10:14:58 AM

A football coach for the University of Tennessee has been fire after posting a now-deleted tweet mocking Stacey Abrams as fat. (snip) So horrifying was this rude characterization that the chancellor of the University put out a video denouncing it as “hateful, hurtful, and untrue.” [Video embed](snip) I’ll concede that the tweet was hateful and hurtful (as is being called a racist, rhetoric we hear on campuses nearly every day), but the good Chancellor was not specific as to what was untrue. (snip) Does he mean that Stacey Abrams is not fat? (snip) George Orwell understood why a political system would want to force people to affirm obvious untruths.

It's impossible to ban what people think. You might say we can't call stacey fat, but you can't stop us from thinking stacey's fat. Stacey's fat, and that's a fact. When the blind leads the blind, they all fall into the ditch.

Perhaps we could take the example of Julianne Malveaux, a liberal journalist, who on television remarked about Justice Clarence Thomas: "Malveaux’s loathing of Thomas grew uglier. “You know, I hope his wife feeds him lots of eggs and butter and he dies early like many black men do, of heart disease.” When conservative Betsy Hart protested, Malveaux wouldn’t back down. “Well, that’s how I feel. He is an absolutely reprehensible person.” " Change the genders and the names, and it could be Stacey Abrams. Heart disease is becoming a greater and greater concern for black women, as well. Especially the morbidly obese.

The movie Minority Report sure nailed this current political climate well. I guess it is time to take another look at it maybe, just for more tips as to what to be aware of from the Left. So after all the years of the media pushing all manner of articles about what constitutes fat, obesity and so on, we can't actually look at examples of people in the news and call them what they are now? All righty then.

For three days, I’ve had sitting on my virtual spindle a post that Bari Weiss, formerly of the New York Times, posted on her Substack page. It’s entitled “I Refuse to Stand By While My Students Are Indoctrinated.” The author isn’t Weiss but is, instead, Paul Rossi, a math teacher at Grace Church High School in Manhattan (annual tuition: $57,330). On Friday, Weiss added another open letter, this from Andrew Gutmann, a parent who had just pulled his daughter out of Brearley, another expensive private school (annual tuition: $54,000). Both are horrifying exposés of and attacks against the woke culture saturating these institutions.

Anybody who’s taking Dr. Anthony Fauci seriously probably needs to stop doing so. He endlessly moves the goalposts to maintain his unlimited power over the American people, something Democrats support. That’s why, on Thursday, during House testimony, Rep. Maxine Watters (who is a low-rent harridan) tried to shut down Rep. Jim Jordan’s efforts to get Fauci to say when enough Americans will be vaccinated so that COVID restrictions can end. The past year has shown that Fauci either has no idea what he’s talking about or is trying to advance an agenda that invariably has to do with maintaining the 2020 status quo of lockdowns, isolation, and masks.

'd like to take a rational look at the confrontations among cops, motorists, and pedestrians. When we see incidents of cops shooting blacks (which are the only shootings the media cover), one thing becomes clear: resisting arrest often ends up with a loss of life. Something else is obvious: when a cop is the one losing his life, it's practically overlooked by the media. When a police officer, whether during a traffic stop or a street stop, is making an arrest, the person being arrested has no right to resist.

The words “epic” or “magnificent” are becoming cliched because they’re constantly used as clickbait headlines for things that are anything but “epic” or “magnificent.” That’s a shame because both words apply with their original force to Tucker Carlson’s opening monologue on Monday night. He brought both logic and passion to explaining that the Democrat party’s open borders policy is deliberately intended to import people who will vote for Democrats. In hindsight, what he said is completely obvious but too few people think about illegal immigration in the terms Tucker did. More must if we are to preserve our liberty-oriented, merit-based, constitutional republic.

On Sunday, a Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, police officer, while trying to taser Daunte Wright, who was violently resisting arrest, shot him instead. Within hours, the Minneapolis suburb, which is almost 30% black was threatening the police, rioting, and looting. That’s barely a headline nowadays. What was more interesting and, to born-and-raised American citizens, more disturbing, was the fact that, when Brooklyn Center’s city manager insisted that the police officer still gets the benefit of due process, the City Council promptly fired him.

As far back as 1996, Mikhail Gorbachev laid bare the agenda driving climate alarmism: “The threat of environmental crisis will be the international disaster key to unlock the New World Order.” He was underscoring the importance of advancing Marxist objectives by creating an emergency to convince people they must surrender freedom to be safe. That idea has been parlayed over the decades into a global campaign of the Left to control vibrant economies, end individual freedom and national sovereignties, and impoverish the world. In America, it is being served up as the Green New Deal (GND).

On Friday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “The ReidOut,” White House Chief Medical Adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci said that fully vaccinated people can go to indoor restaurants, but “it’s a relative risk. When you have a lot of infection in the community, then you want to be careful. That’s why we say, wear a mask.” Host Joy Reid asked if fully vaccinated people can eat in indoor restaurants, fly, or hug their older relatives. Fauci said, “You know, it depends on the level of infection in your community. It doesn’t matter what the level of infection is, if you are vaccinated and you want to have something in the home, you, your family
Why Is Everyone Swallowing Biden’s Lies? 28 replies

How did this happen? How did the nation go in an instant from disbelieving every utterance of Donald Trump to robotically repeating — and acting on — every claim that falls out of Joe Biden’s mouth, no matter how disconnected from the truth? The most glaring example involves Biden’s fact-challenged tirade against Georgia’s new voting law. At his first and only press conference, Biden declared the state’s efforts to protect against voter fraud were worse than Jim Crow, “un-American,” “sick,” and “despicable.” (This was the same press conference where moments later Biden bragged about how much time he’s spent with China’s genocidal communist dictator before calling him “a smart, smart guy.”)

BROOKLYN CENTER, Minn. — A forest of little tree air fresheners has grown on a temporary chain link security fence outside the Brooklyn Center Police Department. “A lot of them on there,” Adam Labrie said from across the street. The Minneapolis man, who quietly took in the scene Friday with his two children, sees the air fresheners as a symbol. (Snip) Before he resigned, Brooklyn Center police chief Tim Gannon said Wright was stopped for expired tabs and the air freshener was only noticed later. State statutes are clear about objects hanging from rear view mirrors. With a few exceptions

Hunter Biden's new autobiography, Beautiful Things posted disappointing sales in its first week on the shelves, selling just over 10,000 copies despite a massive promotional push. The new 272-page book detailing Hunter's struggles with addiction and tragedy debuted at #12 on the Publisher's Weekly hardcover nonfiction chart, after selling a meager 10,638 copies. It was edged out slightly in the rankings by 'The Calcium Connection: The Little-Known Enzyme at the Root of Your Cellular Health.' Topping the list was poet Amanda Gorman's The Hill We Climb: An Inaugural Poem for the Country, which sold 42,000 copies for the week.

Ron DeSantis continues to trigger the libs, and it’s not just because he’s really good at owning them. They can’t stand the fact that he beat one of their supposed future stars in Andrew Gillum, and they hate him even more for defying their COVID hysteria and producing results that bested all the comparatively populated blue states. In fact, Florida sits at 28th in the country in COVID deaths per one million, a mark that is simply amazing when you consider the state has the second-largest vulnerable, elderly population in the country. Today, DeSantis continued his crusade against the hysterical among us, delivering a message to vaccinated Americans

Say what you want about Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, but one thing about the first-term Republican Congresswoman from Georgia that no one can dispute is that she does not back down from a fight, especially when she’s on the receiving end of an unprovoked attack.(Snip)The latest Democrat to learn that Greene has not morphed into a meek and timid freshman lawmaker after the House voted in February to strip her of her committee assignments was Rep. Eric Swalwell (CA), .(Snip) It all started on Wednesday after Greene challenged Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) to a debate about the Green New Deal.
