How Non-News Sites Covered the Capitol Breach

Original Article

It was a terrible day in American history. And also a bad day to “stick to sports.” The horrifying images at the nation’s Capitol on Wednesday — during what should have been a peaceful counting of electoral votes — was well-covered by the news media, which had been expecting a raucous 24 hours (both inside and outside the government chambers). It also pulled in a lot of media that’s been carefully trying to toe the line between acknowledging the real world and reporting on non-“newsy” subjects. Which is pretty impossible when you have domestic terrorist cosplayers pushing aside security and invading the offices of elected officials without fear of arrest.

Excepts for the fact 4 people died, I thought it was fabulous. Reminded me of the Storming of the Bastille during the French Revolution. It's high time the pompous left wingers found out what The People think of a crook being put in the White House by Chinese Communists software and our ballots being used to line bird cages. Andrew Jackson's inaugural didn't feature well behaved citizens. The Boston Tea Party was probably "horrifying" to watch for the loyalists and British. I'd have loved it if we'd seen some of Nazi Pelosi expensive ice cream being fed to stray cats. Maybe America still has a pulse.

I applaud those who protested peacefully, as is their first amendment right. But those who broke into the Capitol building are morons. By breaking the law, and endangering lives, they played right into the hands of the left. Yesterday should have been a day where serious Congressmen and Senators explained to the American people what problems they saw with the 2020 election. That should have been the story. Instead, the left claims "the moral high ground". I had looked forward to Trump appointing a special counsel to look into the election, and maybe one to investigate Hunter Biden. That's not going to happen now, is it?

If this was such a horrible day why is the stock market up again better than double digits today? Answer, nobody that is really informed thinks this was real. The events of yesterday were carefully orchestrated political theater from the removal of the barriers to the Capitol building by the Capitol police to the escorted rope lines of people taking selfies in the building to the costumed nut case of political art professionals that show up at Earth day rallies so they can post to their Facebook pages. If these were radical terrorists why so few arrests and actual detainees? Antifa posted multiple messages to their agents to show up at the rally in Trump gear with their hats on backwards so they could be identified. This was apparent in the videos yesterday along with black bloc and camo helmets and vests. They also got their people through the TSA checks with metal shields, hammers, and other tools to break into buildings. Spare me the moral outrage. Anyone who is gullible enough to think this was not well coordinated probably believes there was nothing wrong with the vote counter video at the State Farm Arena in GA. As usual this entire episode is about getting Trump and promoting the interests of the CCP.

The right sites were shut down by the platforms. Nothing being reported. We still do not know who shot the Trump supporter. Even the Republicans are not asking, condemning themselves, like the Democrats told them to. The only violence has been against Trump supporters. Where is the condemnation?

In December, the Cleveland Indians announced they are in the process of changing to a “non-Native American based name” from the one the MLB team has held since 1915. Earlier this month, the Cherokee Nation for the first time asked Jeep to stop using the tribe’s name on its vehicles, a practice that goes back to 1974. But what about the motorcycle company that predates both of those cases?

Miami’s North Beach is not exactly where the action is. Compared to the luxurious party hub of South Beach, it’s a fairly drab neighborhood with stucco housing, diners and condos lining the shore. But it has an overlooked gem tucked into its western edge, and that’s a .4-square-mile, 41-lot private island called Indian Creek. Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump recently bought a 1.8-acre lot for $30m on Indian Creek Island, which is considered Miami’s most ultra-exclusive address (the plot was originally purchased by Latin singer Julio Iglesias, who lives on the island, through Jills Zeder real estate).

Under different circumstances, it’s not hard to see how the idea of Van Morrison and Eric Clapton teaming up for a new song might be appealing. One of them is among rock’s most acclaimed vocalists and songwriters; the other is a guitarist lauded for his skill and style for decades. That their collaboration would come on a song addressing the present moment opens up a world of possibilities: could they, perhaps, be working on a song in support of first responders or communities whose health is at risk from the pandemic?

As one cohort ages out of a particular scene — be it music, movies, fashion or design — a new group rushes into to fill the gap, bringing with them their own ideas about what’s cool, what’s not and most importantly, where you should turn your attention next.

Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin was found guilty Tuesday of all counts against him in the death of George Floyd. It’s possible that the jurors believed that the evidence showed he is truly guilty of a pair of murder charges and one count of manslaughter. But what if they convicted him simply to avoid riots? Unless the jurors agree to talk about their deliberations and share their inner thoughts, we’ll never know if they surrendered to the mob and convicted a man whose guilt they had doubts about. So we’re left to always wonder. Fox News’ Greg Gutfeld was exactly

Many Christians are feeling frustrated with the Biden administration. A recent op-ed in the Wall Street Journal points to how Joe Biden’s flip-flop on refugees is frustrating evangelicals who foolishly voted for him last November. As the Journal contributor noted, they have a reason to feel betrayed.  Believers who care about values, life, and religious liberty continue to find that the new administration has let them down time and time again. While Biden may attend Mass regularly, many of his policy positions raise questions of how diligently he practices his Catholic faith outside the four walls of his church. CORRECTIONS*
