President Trump’s call for Congress to amend the $900 billion COVID-19 relief bill to increase direct payments to eligible Americans from $600 to $2,000 cannot pass the Senate, according to a top Republican in the body — who said he remains hopeful the commander in chief will sign the measure.
Speaking to reporters Thursday, Sen. Roy Blunt (R-Mo.) cautioned that it would be “a mistake” to not sign the coronavirus relief bill.
“There’s been some apparent misunderstanding about what’s in the regular appropriating bill and what’s in the COVID relief bill,

If you got money for 'gender studies' in Palestine cut that crap out and give it back to me. If the well is being drained (instead of the Swamp) I want my money BACK!!

The Party that votes against this will lose my vote. $600 is an insult. I guess those people in the ivory halls of Congress don’t see what’s happening in the streets and towns of America.

Open the economy and no one will need freshly printed money loaned to us from China.

Perhaps Senator Blunt, RINO Missouri, could explain why a “relief” package for a virus is 5600+ pages long? And why there is a need for such a wasteful bill when blue states are working frantically to impose a cure worse than the disease. And, with the federal debt approaching $28+ trillion, why are we borrowing even more money to pay for this madness. Finally, with 500,000 to 1 million illegal aliens about to swamp our southern border in addition to the 23 million already here, why isn’t Congress concerned with the impact on our schools, hospitals, police and actual citizens?

2022 CPA congress. Constitutional Party of America, Trump and 80 MILLION Americans.
Take 10 senate seats and 20 or 30 in the House and defend our country and constitution from these pirates.
Without either congressional majority the Uniparty controls NOTHING and there's NOTHING President Harris can do about it either, We'll be back in 2024 to deal with her.

Congress approves MILLIONS AND BILLIONS OF U.S. DOLLARS sent to countries all over the world but cannot conceive of giving $2,000 to American citizens whose economy has collapsed around them because of the China virus. Fact is, I believe that Trump wants the pathetic amount of $2000 given to each and every American citizen.Grandchildren and great grandchildren will be paying for Republican and Democrat close to 2 trillion dollar Santa Claus bill for the world's needs for decades.
It was Trump who gave us such a good economy through his own learned business practices. Then the virus came.
These Uniparty politicians would sell their own soul to benefit themselves financially.

Blunt is a big time never Trump “UniParty” establishment Republican, so not giving money to the hurting American people would be right up his alley.

What's the problem? $2000 too big a freebee for Americans? Or maybe stingy Blunt really down deep in his heart would like to give us that two grand, but is a stickler for budget overruns. Simple solution: cut out all the pork and foreign aid, and there will be plenty left over for needy Americans to receive the same amount Canadians received months ago.

The President is fully aware of what is in the so-called “Covid-19 Relief Bill” which is an omnibus bill, which means is is loaded to the gills with pork. I have never trusted Sen. Blunt. I am not about to start now. He is a little man who probably doesn’t belong in the U. S. Senate. He is certainly too little to question our President’s understanding of what they are up to...

Gender equality programs in Pakistan? The country that harbored the Taliban soldiers who attacked our troops in Afghanistan? Who harbored bin Laden? Seriously?
“The Taliban were largely founded by Pakistan's Interior Ministry under Naseerullah Babar and the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) in 1994.[25][26][27][28][29][30][31][32] In 1999, Naseerullah Babar who was the minister of the interior under Bhutto during the Taliban's ascent to power admitted, "we created the Taliban".[33]”

The Taliban were injected into Afghanistan by Pakistan. We should not put a dime into Pakistan.

Why isn't the money directed to those who have been out of work or had their hours reduced? Why should government employees, including Congressional staff, who have not lost any wages, be getting a check?

Then redo the bill, Roy!! Where the hell do you get off giving billions to foreign entities and stiffing Americans?
Take the whole damn thing down. Zip to the Palestinian terrorists! Remove the protections for the big Media Companies - why the hell did they ever get them? Cut the pork, you fat, self-satisfied ego-gorged Elitists, because frankly, if you don't...
I think we're going to kill you.
I haven't come across ANYONE, not even people I knew as professional, lifelong Libtards, who are appalled by EVERYONE in our government. We've had it. You obviously aren't listening as you gather millions of dollars of taxpayer money into your secure little bank accounts, and have your cozy little Golden parachutes and health plans, none of which are available to the rest of us. You and your ultra-rich donors and your evil minions in church and education (if anyone wonders why no one goes to church, anymore its because we are repulsed by the devil preaching from the pulpit) are all on our you-know-what-list.

Unless of course you are good little liberal brown shirts terrorizing anyone who disagrees with you.
And then you say we don't "need" help? You can't afford the $2k - that is our money to begin with?
But you people in government, I notice, haven't missed a pay check!!

Many Americans are in big financial trouble to the point of having to stand in very long lines to get free food over the Christmas season. Instead of sending huge amounts of money abroad to many countries that are not friendly to the USA, Congress should be shutting down all non-emergency foreign aid until the current bad economic situation in this country is reversed with Americans being able to go back to work and again earn their livings. If there ever was a time that President Trump was right in putting Americans first, this is it. You would have to be a moron to believe otherwise.

Keep the $600! Toss the bill. If Congress insists on some of the crap that's in there I'd rather it not get signed. Some of the items I've heard mentioned are so outrageous that someone has to be getting paid via back channels. Can't Congress write a straight-forward bill that bails out American companies and American citizens?

Stimulus checks?! It's not enough money to stimulate anything unless people are allowed to go back to work. These are rescue checks. And they don't amount to spit on a bonfire. The only thing that is going to stimulate the economy is to let people go back to work.

Gender studies in Pakistan? Aren't most people there Muslims? There will be only two genders there. The rest will be dead after they say they aren't one if those two. So is this a way to get rid of them?

What this senator is really saying. Don't bet on a bill that supports the people of the U.S. ONLY. We need to make sure that there is left pork stuffed in this bill. The american people will take a back seat and get the $600 if they like it or not. Typical RINO.

These gigantic, or omnibus bills are like that for the same reason a shoplifter wears a roomy, voluminous coat into a store. You can steal so much more stuff if you have plenty of space in which to pack it; and expect it to remain there unseen.
