Almost nobody is more reviled by the international intelligentsia and media than the late Augusto Pinochet, the late 20th -century Chilean dictator. He holds a prominent position in the political left’s “rogues’ gallery” comprised of those who stood in opposition to their goals.
His supposed “crimes” included conducting a military coup to illegitimately grab control of the Chilean government from a popularly elected president, rounding up and torturing huge numbers of innocent citizens (killing as many as 80,000 in the process) and corruptly stealing vast sums of money while ruling as a dictator.
But many of those claims are either false or exaggerated

SAN DIEGO -- A California judge cleared the way Thursday for all restaurants in San Diego County to resume on-site dining, marking a major setback to the governor’s stay-at-home order to slow the spread of the coronavirus before the state's intensive care units run out of beds. The case brought to the court by two San Diego strip clubs handed the biggest victory yet to California businesses fighting public health orders that they say have crippled them economically. [Snip] San Diego Superior Court Judge Joel Wohlfeil told county officials who requested the hearing Thursday to get clarification that his order was “straightforward” and goes beyond the two strip clubs...

Oliver Stone has taken the Russian coronavirus vaccine and accused the West of 'ignoring' the injection.
The radical left-wing director, 74, told Russian media outlets he had 'heard good things about the Russian vaccine' before taking it himself.
Russia started the mass rollout of the Sputnik V vaccine last week but over-60s have not been included after experts warned it could be potentially harmful to them.
And Stone, who directed a film on Edward Snowden in 2016, said he was 'hopeful' the vaccine would work on him after his second shot after 45 days.

In a text message to FBI attorney Lisa Page sent on July 28, 2016, Strzok mentioned “our open [counterintelligence] investigations relating to Trump’s Russian connections.” The date of the text message is significant because the bureau has long maintained that it opened the investigations into Trump campaign associates on July 31 of that year. The Chinese regime exploited vulnerabilities in the global mobile telecommunications network to conduct “mass surveillance” on Americans, according to a recent report by a cyber research firm.
By analyzing signals data, the report by Washington-based Exigent Media found that Beijing, working through state-owned telecom operator China Unicom, was the leading source of attacks against U.S. mobile users over 3G and 4G networks in 2018.
The regime exploited well-known network vulnerabilities, which allowed it to track, monitor, disrupt, and intercept communications of U.S. phone subscribers while they traveled abroad. The vulnerabilities are centered around the legacy mobile SS7 signaling system, described in the report as “a patchwork system enabling network operators

Presidential candidates in the United States win elections by winning the most electoral votes.
The Electoral College system apportions a certain number of votes to each state. When voters in a state vote for a party’s candidate, they’re actually casting a vote for that party’s slate of electors, or people chosen to cast electoral votes.
Those electoral votes are counted by Congress. If a candidate gets 270 or more, they win the presidency.
Dueling Electors
In seven states on Dec. 14, a slate of Democratic electors chose Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden. Republican electors, even though Biden was certified as the winner in the states, also cast votes for President Donald Trump.

President-Elect Joe Biden has chosen a Democrat from the U.S. House of Representatives as his nominee for Secretary of the Interior, which is likely to give Republicans in the chamber a boost. Sources confirmed to Fox News on Thursday that Biden planned to ask Rep. Deb Haaland, D-N.M., to fill the role, which would make her the first Native American to do so if she is confirmed by the Senate.
However, her exit from the House leaves Democrats with a very slim majority over Republicans, after Biden also tapped Reps. Marcia Fudge, D-Ohio, and Cedric Richmond, D-La., for separate roles in the administration.

While he celebrates his victory in the Electoral College, powerful forces already are engaged to doom him and his presidency. The only message in his “I’m-not-Trump” political campaign was that President Trump made a mess of domestic and foreign policy and that Biden would fix all of that. The deadly trap is that Trump did very well on many key measures

The Republican Party is poised to win the House majority in 2022, boosted by the rare combination of President Trump’s ouster and down-ballot victories that put the GOP in command of the decennial redrawing of district boundaries.
House Republicans flipped nearly a dozen Democratic-held seats in the Nov. 3 elections, a surprising gain that left them a handful shy of the majority. With such a thin margin, there is loose speculation redistricting could effectively deliver Republicans the speaker’s gavel before a single Democratic incumbent is defeated. The GOP preserved control of key state legislatures and governor’s mansions, a crucial advantage in the partisan battle over reapportionment.

Biden's hubris and that of the media/Democratic Party fusion almost guarantee such divine retribution. Once the last of the other Democratic primary candidates dropped out and Biden was nominated, all prior negative media stories about his apparent cognitive decline and his family's financial entanglements disappeared. From April 2020 on, a virtual news blackout surrounded Biden. His rare interviews were scripted. Biden communiques were teleprompted. Multiple new emails allegedly from Hunter Biden, son of Joe Biden, reveal financial ties to firms inside of communist China. The alleged emails have surfaced after it was revealed last week that Hunter Biden is under federal criminal investigation over his business dealings, particularly in China.
Hunter Biden was informed in 2018 by one of his business partners that he would start to receive “significant” payments the following year from a firm in China that was co-owned by the Bank of China, which is owned by the communist Chinese government.

Yes, and that’s 2023, not 2024. Here’s how.
It all starts with Joe Biden’s truculently delinquent and pathological son, Hunter. You know, the guy who was and apparently still is a cocaine addict and was drummed out of the Navy. The deadbeat father who denied paternity and avoided support obligations to the mother whom he met at a strip joint.
But those are the least of his troubles. Hunter’s “business” is to monetize his dad’s political position.

Dr. Shiva Ayyadurai, MIT PhD., scored a major victory in his lawsuit claiming that his campaign for Senator in Massachusetts was fraudulently stolen thanks to Dominion Voting Systems machines used to tabulate and calculate the vote. Dr. Ayyadurai is well known to TGP readers. Here are two pieces resulting from Dr. Ayyadurai’s research–Dr. Shiva Presents Arizona Data and Election Fraud with Dr. Shiva, Jim Hoft and Joe Hoft. Dr. Ayyadurai is David fighting Goliath. He could not find a lawyer to take his case so he was left to fight alone. He filed Pro Se, i.e. For one’s own behalf; Corrections*

What kind of man must Joe Biden be to accept being illegitimately put into the Oval Office?
We’ve all seen the clips. Nearly every recent Joe Biden public appearance has been an embarrassment. The media called his garbled statements 'gaffes,' as if they were innocent, harmless mistakes, but many have suggested far worse age-related cognitive failures. We experienced embarrassment with him, and pitied a man clearly past his prime. What seemed most prominent about Joe Biden, other than his mental decline, was his obsession with one singular goal -- to be president of the United States.

By now it has to be dawning on the socialist wing of the Democratic party that former vice president Joe Biden was only paying lip service to them on appointing a diverse array of leftists to his cabinet. Team Biden has raised the ire of Bernie Sanders supporters who bought the lies again and lined up behind him just as they did with Hillary in 2016 with expectations that their loyalty would be rewarded.Instead, Biden has fielded a parade of Obama era retreads including Tony Blinken, Neera Tanden, Dennis McDonough, Jen Psaki, and Janet Yellen while shutting out gullible leftist ideologues. There will be no Elizabeth Warren as Treasury Secretary,

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis cleverly refused to take the bait from a reporter who asked him if he accepts Joe Biden as president-elect. “It’s not for me to say,” DeSantis replied, in dropping what might amount to a rhetorical truth bomb. “Here’s what I would say,” he continued. “Obviously, we did our thing in Florida. The [Electoral] College voted… But I can tell you, I think a lot of the frustration for folks that supported the president was we were four years with people not accepting him. I mean, Hillary, the last week of the election, was saying Putin stole it.”

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy said Wednesday he has asked the Federal Bureau of Investigation for a briefing on Rep. Eric Swalwell’s reported ties to a Chinese spy and the agency has canceled two times.“Swalwell is a national security liability. This is too important for the FBI to continue to stonewall,” he tweeted.(Tweet) Pressure is increasing on Swalwell to answer questions about a report that alleged a female Chinese spy named Christine Fang, or Fang Fang, targeted Swalwell between 2011 and 2015 as part of a political intelligence operation.Fang, as reported by Axios, met Swalwell while he was a council member for Dublin City, California,

The Washington Post has steadily evolved from being a newspaper edited and written by journalists to being something else. Sean Hannity has said that journalism is dead in America, and so I would think he would say that it is written by dead journalists. I would agree with that except that dead journalists cannot write. So what has the newspaper’s staff evolved into? Propagandists? Possibly. Advertising hacks? That takes talent.

The real scandal around Joe Biden’s second wife wanting to be called “Dr. Jill Biden” is not that people like Whoopi Goldberg incorrectly assume that she is a physician and recommend her for the position of surgeon general. The real scandal is that the title is handed out to people who can’t produce scholarly work, as exemplified by the pathetic “dissertation/executive position paper” that Jill Biden “submitted to the Faculty of the University of Delaware in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Doctor of Education with a major in Educational Leadership.”

Every one of us who voted for Trump believes that the only reason Biden appeared to walk away with more votes was because of massive election fraud. On Tuesday, during her morning show, Maria Bartiromo dropped what must be, in this crazy year, the mother of all bombshells. According to Bartiromo, an intel source told her that Trump won the election. It’s now up to the Supreme Court, said the source, to stop the clock from running so that the proper election result can be implemented, returning Trump to the White House.

Walmart announced on Thursday it will triple exports of goods from India to $10 billion each year by 2027, as a nationwide pivot to other trade partners gains strength amid the continuing U.S.-China trade war. U.S. goods imports from China fell by a stark 16.2 percent between 2018 and 2019, as the effects of Washington's aggressive stance towards Beijing takes effect. Currently, Walmart estimates Chinese suppliers make up 70-80 percent of its U.S. merchandise, according to the Alliance for American Manufacturing.

Every once in a while, most of us wind up in situations where we are completely baffled. It may be a simple situation, such as having looked literally everywhere for our reading glasses, and not having found them. Did they violate the laws of physics and just vanish? One knows that that cannot be true, and yet, as the old saying goes, once one has ruled out every logical possibility, only the illogical remains, no matter how unlikely it is.
Another situation is the one we are in now. Any informed person, with a modicum of sense, can see that the presidential

This is quite extraordinary.Twitter on Wednesday announced they were switching back rules to before the election. The rules served their purpose. They were able to list any criticism of the fraudulent election as “disputed” or “fake news.” And they especially hit President Trump hard.(Snip) But now that the tech giant was able to manipulate the results and censor conservative arguments they are going to back off the new rules. This is after they manipulated election results.Dave Rubin weighed in.(Tweet)
