Last week we looked at the results of a poll showing that a significant majority of American voters believe that Donald Trump will run for president again in four years. While I have my own doubts about that for a variety of reasons, the only person who can know for sure is the President himself. As of last night, we may have gotten our answer… or maybe not. Politico is reporting that they’ve spoken to a large number of (unnamed) allies of the President who claim he has been reaching out to them for advice on how to proceed. But in the end, they can’t say much more

He couldn't run in 2024. Each President only gets two terms.

Trump would be crazy to run in 2024.
Although I would gladly vote for him he doesn't need the hassle and he is facing Democrats now who will be in power and will do their best to find something to prosecute him for in 2021. They are not happy to get away with this theft, they want blood. Why face these clowns again.

After/ if Biden serves a few years no one will trust anyone in their late 70s to hold the office. Biden is already an incoherent and stumbling fool and it will only get worse.

Trump did his job. Please pass the torch onto someone less hated and younger. Maybe then we can hold a legit election. So many legal Biden voters voted AGAINST Trump out of simple (and stupid) hatred - including members of my own family.

As much as I think he has been the greatest President in my lifetime, I feel that he has served us to the fullest and deserves to enjoy the rest of his life with Melania.
This generation of ingrates deserves what they get. They are so convinced that communism is the utopia they have dreamed of. I say give them the nightmare that it will surely be since it has never been anything but. They are a pampered group of nitwits who have thrown away their birthright and their freedom. I am too old to care at this point. I am not sure that anyone has the grit or the guts to wage a true war and that will be the only thing that will save us now. The floodgates are now opened to the illegals, but soon I doubt they will want to enter. I don't see anyone breaking down the doors to get into Venezuela or Cuba and the only ones who want to go to CHina are those too stupid to know that one thing you can count on is that the Chinese will never pay. They will steal your product and your ideas and in the long run you will be left with nothing. Good luck, Never Trumpers and Democrat communists see how long that dream of Utopia lasts when there is no one left o protect you from the true evil personified.

Far as I am concerned, #1 has the only correct answer. Pretty sad that everyone else is buying into the media lies. They might not think so, but they are. Trump hasn't finished his response, he has had to let the legal stuff play out first. Then he gets to do his President Trump. I would be very surprised if he let this all go without doing his duty as the constitution says he can.

PDT will have a firm hold of the media's mind for the next 4 years. They will do anything to avoid talking about the screw-ups of joe and his ho.

We need to form the Populist Party and dump the Republicans.
Then we can change the stupid Constitution when we win.
And make our strong, powerful, incredible President as President for Life.
Or President for Eternity.
And after Eternity ends we could have Don, Junior as President.
The possibilities are endless!

Assuming that Biden steals the election, sure, Trump would be the favorite for 2024.
But a couple problems.
First, he's what, 74 years old. He could be dead in four years. Or he could decide screw it, I'm gonna do something else or play golf the rest of my days. His health is pretty good and he doesn't seem like the type of guy who wants to spend his last years in a rocking chair. But those things could happen.
Second, there may be a few up-and-coming Republicans who want to run in 2024. It might be a redo of 2016 primaries.
But today, assuming again that Biden steals the election (and honestly, it looks like he may), Trump is the favorite for 2020. Maybe he announces this coming spring and has his "government in exile" like the Democrats did the last four years. Of course, the media whores, who provided office space and air time to the "exiles," aren;t gonna like it.
Tough.

Sure, Jazz. Politico would know what President Trump’s plans were… Sure…. (You might get better reception on the gossip wire if you used a paper cup and string?)

I'd bet serious money that Trump will not run again.
Either #1 is correct, or it's unlikely he'd even be up for it then, and/or too many other GOPrs would vigorously block him out in the primaries. And, don't even think 3rd party.....I've been the Perot route....it's nigh impossible to succeed going down that path!
Nope, first order of business will be to get Congress (maybe we'll luck out and hold the Senate) to establish a few basic federal 'guidelines' for ALL states to follow as they participate in national elections!
Second order of business will be to boost his successor into place; I love Tom Cotton, but really believe Jordan is the one who can appeal to a broader electorate. Maybe a Cotton-Jordan combo? You get the idea......

Or, maybe a Jordan-Gabbard combo to pull in lots of Dem votes? Now there's a ticket! :-)

Everyone who is caught up in the 2024 aspect is wasting time. Donald Trump is focusing on the now and that is the fraudulent election. Leave it alone.

Maybe. Maybe. Donald Trump did much more than we asked of him and he deserves a good retirement. Hopefully he has something set up offshore because he's going to hate the new America.

Re: #6 - Everyone here has opinions, and I respect yours while differing with it. Only democrats believe that they and only they have the answers to problems, crises, or what's best for everyone during both good times and bad. It is my honest belief that Trump legitimately won the election but inexplicably lost the battle over the fraudulent results and pretending otherwise is not going to save our Republic, if it is to be saved. I also believe that pretending that Trump and Lin Wood are Clark Kent and Bruce Wayne rather than sharpening your pitchforks and getting your squirrel rifle down from over the fireplace is the ticket to losing the country, unless the 2020 election was a one-time-only anomaly.

Becuase of his age and the amout of energy needed to be president, I'd love to see him run in 2024. His age will prevent it, sadly. I honestly believe Biden won't survive one term.
