Who had a governor is going to shut down grocery stores due to the pandemic on their 2020 coronavirus bingo card? If you did, stamp that square. The governor of New Mexico is shutting down grocery stores in her state over COVID-19 testing results.
Just when we thought that liquor sales restrictions in Pennsylvania by Governor Wolf were arbitrary and, frankly, stupid, along comes Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham in New Mexico with a “hold my beer” response. She has shut down a dozen grocery stores across the state. Why would a governor make such a draconian move?

New Mexico is now off my list of vacation destinations. We had a great time visiting Santa Fe and the pueblos five years ago, however, the nuttiness of the liberal citizenry was quite tangible then.

Sometimes it feels like Americans are being tested by politicians. It's as if they are trying to decide how much abuse they can heap upon us "for our own good."
These edicts are becoming tiresome. At the same time, I hope every law abiding American is paying attention to who these pushy politicians are. They are dangerous.

Control. Check to see if there has been citizen protests (virtual or live) in that area with threats of physical violence if these governors don't stop?
This is seized warfare transformed in the electronic age. You starve your opponents out, to make them submit.

This is pure genius on her part. People die of starvation, are classified as COVID deaths and the applicable parties collect a bundle of cash. I'll bet even Cuomo hasn't thought of this one yet.
One must question, how much will it take? How long before people tell these petty tyrants to go pound sand and just stay open. I can only imagine what one Walmart loses on a day they are closed, but two weeks? They are big enough to just close down every store in the state and move stores to where people are somewhat sane.

Irony: liberals were all sympathetic for the guy who shoplifted a loaf of bread to feed his family. Now they're going to starve everyone.

We live in New Mexico, and it ain't much different than Old Mexico. The gov has to obey her drug lord bosses and scare us so that we will pay for high-priced drugs and vaccinations. Store employees didn't get sick with COVID, they just tested positive, and those could be false positives. So, right before Thanksgiving none of us can get what we want at the stores, after standing in long lines at the stores that are open.
Why did those store employees test positive for COVID in the first place? We've all been wearing masks and "social distancing" for months. Do masks not work? Hmmm

If you haven’t stocked up on essentials you are playing with a loaded deck! Remember to stock up for your pets as well! I don’t want to take my three Ragdolls out back and shoot them because we have no food for them!

Only in a white community could she get away with this.
Try this in Chicago and the riots would open that store and everything would be there for the takers.

Any business that has 4 covid positive cases over a period of 2 weeks must shut down for 2 weeks. Result is a dozen grocery stores have had to close in New Mexico. Plenty of other businesses hit as well. It all sounds rather arbitrary. Maybe the governor's office will get 4 cases, and have to shutdown. They will do less damage that way.
People have been taking precautions and in spite of that we keep getting more covid cases. It makes the lockdowns rather pointless. How many false positives are there? No way to tell that.

I moved to New Mexico in 07 from Florida and do love it here. Came here to be close to my grandchildren and have grown to love it here. The people, the food, the culture and the pristine beauty that abounds is worth the aggravation of living in this very blue state. You know, they found 180K votes a week after the election that were never counted. But they are not pursuing NM as a battleground state because it's not a game changer. We could have won the open senate seat if the candidate had more support. The Republican party here is lame, and that's the truth. We had Susana Martinez as governor for 3 terms. Then she disappeared. I liked her as governor but she should helped the party more after her term ended. She could have won this senate seat, So could have her Lieutenant Governor. Donde esta el?
Governor MLG, is a party loyalist and is following their dictates to the letter. Basically, she's a mini Whitmer. She doesn't care about the people, or small business. NM is mainly a welfare state and she's doing a good job of keeping it that way. She wants to be recognized as being a tough Democrat woman governor usurping her control and power. The Republican party is starting to show their discontent but have a long way to go. Hey, they found Susana and they can find someone else.

Yep. So everyone in southwestern New Mexico are heading to El Paso for shopping and other items.
Problem is, El Paso is a COVID hot spot right now. Really smart, lady gov.

I live in a very conservative area of NM, and it is strange watching how people react to this madness. Around here when it all started back in March masks were refused, even more so when they were mandated by Looney Lujan. Then she shut everything down the first time and everyone complied with her stupid mandates, stores closed as instructed and the masking went to about 50/50. She opened us up again and masks went back to about 70/30 noncompliant. The crazy bi--h shut us down again and masking went to about 70/30 mask compliant. She then shut a couple of our largest grocery stores and its now about 90/10 mask compliant? I just don't get it? Usually during the day there would be about 20-30 people in a grocery store not counting the few hours when everyone gets off work, now there is a maximum of 75 people allowed in at a time and people are lined up to get in? Our county sheriff and city council all refuse to enforce any of the slimy fat toads mandates and yet still the people mask? There will be no torches and pitchforks just grumbling complaining and complying. It will be the same in your area of the country if the same restrictions are mandated. I sure never thought we would so easily be put on our knees by one insane diabolical freak of nature (who I believe is vacationing in Hawaii right now) but here we are?

My guess is she fully stocked her freezer and pantry before issuing this edict. Same with all her immediate staffers. I truly hope she gets what is coming to her and very soon. Can anyone imagine if a republican governor did this? Starving children, and others is not a good look on you governor as we head into the holidays. Now if only there were some residents who would stand up to that jackbooted tyrant.

Guess she is trying to outdo Witch Whitmer...can't we just round them all up and dump them on Mt. Washington in New Hampshire?! No threat of melting from Global Warming up there and they can snuggle together to each other warm.
