Update: Alyssa Milano released a statement on Twitter on Tuesday night that said her neighbor had initially called police about the armed man in their neighborhood and that her husband had only called 911 to follow up and see when officers would arrive.
Bell Canyon, CA – Alyssa Milano, who has actively advocated for defunding the police, prompted a massive law enforcement response to her community on Sunday after a gunman was reported on her Ventura County property.
Milano has been vocally anti-police on social media for months and was widely criticized for asking for law enforcement to respond to her property after openly demonstrating against them.

So after you DEFUND the police perhaps when you call 911 they should give you an invoice. Sorta like a pizza delivery charge and don't forget to tip the cop for his quick and effective service at your home invasion. S/off

Okay, Milano, even if you didn't initiate the police action for the gun-wielding intruder, your call after the report and their response should persuade you that it's good to have police when you need them (which is more often than you'd willingly admit).

Weeee're just gonna wander down over here and check out this other case - a parking ticket. Then we'll get around to checking out your complaint. Of course, that's after we've stopped off for donuts and coffee. You just worry your little head.

Bell Canyon is another So Cal enclave of the rich elitists and even though she is all anti cop and a defined the police loud mouth, look who she calls at the first little sign of danger. A quick response social worker team would have hardly been acceptable.

Afterthought: If they’d wanted to get back at her, they’d have left her photo out of the article. This mindlessly malicious broad lives for publicity.
Surprise of the Day: She has a husband. Condolences to him….

Alyssa specifically asked that only non-racist police be sent to her house.
If any racist police had shown up - - she would have sent them back.

#10 is right; this is old news. Wasn't it some kid with an air gun?
I would have liked the police to hand her a bill for their time and service, though. She deserves it.

Why would her husband call to find out police arrival time? To know how much time he had to hide the illegal drugs??

Someone saw a person with a gun in their neighborhood? And? It wasn't concealed so no need for a concealed carry permit. No one reported being threatened or assaulted by a CITIZEN actually using their Constitutional Right To Bare Arms. If they called the cops on someone chewing gum while walking it would have made more sense for the cops to come. It's not illegal, but unlike carrying a firearm you don't have a specific Constitutional Right to do it.

#18, don't be ridiculous. This is California.....there is no right to bear arms there openly or concealed.
They USED TO have a law which permitted open carry of an unloaded gun - but that was made illegal some 4 or 6 years ago, roughly. So now "....bear arms" is absolutely illegal in California without a concealed carry permit, which is apparently not so difficult to get in a few rural areas, and essentially impossible to get if you live in the places where it is very necessary. No open carry at all, even unloaded.
