It may just have been the fact that they were beamed in virtually to the hearing room, but our billionaire Big Tech overlords looked more cyborg than human when they testified before a Senate committee Tuesday. Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, 43, in funereal black, with a castaway beard and nose ring, stood stiffly in front of an austere shelf of white bowls and empty bottles and talked about “humans” versus “algorithms.” Facebook boss Mark Zuckerberg, 36, was freckly and clean-shaven, but came across as equally robotic. He wore a white shirt, blue jacket and striped tie against a bland backdrop of silk drapes and a potted plant. Both spoke in a slow monotone.

Has Twitter "allowed" the New York Post to post the Hunter Biden stories yet? The Twitter CEO said that they should have allowed it. So, what gives? Like I say, Orwell was pretty spot on in "1984" except for a couple things. The year. The 2 minutes of hate is extended to 24/7 for all things Trump. And the Ministry of Truth isn't staffed by government bureaucrats in drab, downtown buildings. It's in pretty pastel corporate campuses all over Silicon Valley.

In the late 1950s I worked for the Navy as a person who relayed military messages from Hawaii to Washington. Many messages were confidential. In the 2020 year I have seen such messages in the public domain allowing every enemy who can rad English to know their contents.

In response to the threats against the Republican voting worker's children and the Republican lawyers, perhaps these "tech giants" need to consider what form blowback might come in if they sponsor actual harm against "the little people". You cannot threaten us and not expect us to defend ourselves. And some say "the best defense is a good offense". No threat against anyone intended or implied. Just asking these tech thugs to think hard before they try to harm people. It is a bad business to start this sort of stuff. It shouldn't be happening, and I don't want it to happen, but if they break enough laws.....hard to say what might be the result. Let's NOT go there, please.

NYT Writer Complains Reaching Out

A New York Times contributor complained that those who voted for President Donald Trump this election refuse to have “productive conversations” with him. Unsurprisingly, it turns out this same writer has spent the better part of the last year insulting and mischaracterizing the very type of person he claims to have attempted to “reach out” to. New York Times contributor and self-proclaimed member of his own “resistance,” Wajahat Ali, wrote an article published Thursday in which he explained these efforts to “reach out” were not actually listening or having conversations with Trump supporters, but offers to give politically-charged speeches to audiences in red states. He lamented these efforts were made impossible

Let’s be clear about something. The coronavirus crisis is no longer an emergency situation. It might have been in March or April, but it absolutely is not as we enter the third week of November. It’s a tragedy, it’s a problem, it’s a crisis, but it is not an emergency, and we have to stop treating it like one at the expense of our children. Thursday, all in-person public schooling in New York City will close again. There is no excuse for this given all we know now, and it is abusive towards our kids.Scientific consensus is a term that gets tossed around far too often,

In my last column, I noted the many “red flags” that have popped up regarding the 2020 presidential election. I won’t repeat that litany, except to say the appearance of impropriety is at least suggestive and, if you are the worrying sort, potentially damning. It’s partly a matter of what I think of as the Goldfinger principle, after the avid gold smelter and nuclear weapons amateur Auric Goldfinger. Goldfinger was a sensitive man. He didn’t like it when people began looking into to his business ventures with too much curiosity, largely, no doubt, because many were ostentatiously illegal and, in some cases, evidence of grandiose homicidal insanity.

CNN analyst Mary Katherine Ham caused a great disturbance in the CNN energy on Saturday's Newsroom by decrying liberal double standards on COVID and conceding elections. Anchor Ana Cabrera began by expressing disgust at the MAGA protests: "Ryan, the president's supporters, they have poured into the streets of Washington this weekend to try to give life to these unfounded and baseless claims of a rigged election. We literally had far right groups like the Proud Boys marching down Pennsylvania Avenue. This election is over. How did this become normal?" Politico's Ryan Lizza replied it's "because the president has decided to delegitimize the crystal clear results of the election."

Dr. Scott Atlas, a special adviser the novel coronavirus to President Trump, tweeted to his almost 90,000 followers on Sunday that citizens should rise up against new Michigan COVID-19 restrictions. He tweeted Sunday night: “The only way this stops is if people rise up. You get what you accept. #FreedomMatters #StepUp” He later followed up with a tweet to state he didn’t condone violence: “Hey. I NEVER was talking at all about violence. People vote, people peacefully protest. NEVER would I endorse or incite violence. NEVER!!” Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s administration on Sunday ordered high schools and colleges to stop in-person classes, closed restaurants to indoor dining and suspended organized sports —

Democrat Joe Biden was called out on Saturday for his silence as left-wing extremists that journalists identified as being affiliated with Black Lives Matter and Antifa attacked pro-Trump demonstrators in Washington, D.C., who had gathered to show their support for President Donald Trump. Various public figures called out Biden after he repeatedly campaigned on “unity” and “healing” America. The Democratic Party tweeted on Saturday that Biden would “restore the soul of this nation and bring us together.”Most of the violence happened at night after the majority of Trump supporters had left the area after the “Million MAGA March,” which featured a brief appearance by the president.

Election Day 2020 was unusual for several predictable reasons involving high in-person turnout and veritable avalanches of mail-in ballots. One exceptionally odd event, however, took everyone by surprise — vote counting suddenly stopped for hours in several key swing states late Tuesday night. One of these mysterious halts occurred in Fulton County, Georgia, where election officials insisted that a broken water pipe necessitated a four-hour delay before counting of absentee ballots could resume. Yet evidence for what would have been quite a serious plumbing issue has been strangely elusive. There doesn’t appear to be any paperwork involving this leak.

The news has not improved for Pelosi since I wrote my earlier story — in fact, it has gotten worse

Elections don’t make democracies; free and fair elections do. Today, in the midst of post-election chaos, we find ourselves in a fight for the latter. In that sense, this election is about far more than Donald Trump the man, or even his policies. The question is this: either democracy survives or one political party will be allowed to bully, lie, cheat, and steal its way into power. The stakes, at this moment, in this country that we love, could not be higher. When President Trump refused to concede the election to Joe Biden in the immediate aftermath of Nov. 3, we argued that he had the right to mount legal challenges if he believed there had been irregularities, mistakes, fraud, or all three. Democratic objections and outrage were as hypocritical as they were inevitable, coming as they did from a corps that refused to accept the 2016 election result not for days, weeks, or even months, but for four years. But although fair-minded people know there are legitimate procedures for litigation, and that these should be allowed to play out, there is also wisdom in the phrase, “put up or shut up.”

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo blasted county sheriffs who are refusing to barge into people’s homes to break up gatherings of more than 10 people, arguing that his executive order limiting the size of private gatherings is the equivalent of law. Cuomo said the sheriffs who have vowed to ignore the mandate he issued last week are “arrogant” and “frightening to democracy,” the Democrat & Chronicle reported. The governor claimed that his executive order is no different than a codified law, and that he issued it in order to force people to stop the “living room spread” of the novel coronavirus.
