Joe Manchin said on Tuesday he is committed to voting against packing the courts or ending the legislative filibuster no matter what situation arises.
“Under no circumstances would I support packing the court or ending the filibuster if there is a 50-50 tie,” said Manchin in an interview with the Washington Examiner.
In a deadlocked Senate, Manchin could be the deciding vote on a wide range of issues — somebody who could make or break Joe Biden's efforts to pass legislation.
In a wide-ranging interview, he laid out his views on the policy areas Democrats needed to focus on, and he was deeply critical of many items

This guy should be offered any committee he wants to switch. And Romney should not get any committee chairmanships. None.

Right, we'll believe you. Just like China-Jo said he'll bring us all together. Meanwhile his party members are compiling list of Trump supporters, donors and voters in an effort to see that they are punished.

The Dems know how to apply pressure to get what they want. Maybe Manchin is clean, but how about his kids, or other family members? Members of the Trump campaign were set up for phoney crimes... Maybe they're working on vulnerable members of Manchin's family right now.

Under any circumstances is any pledge or promise made by a democrat communist in any office including the Senate to be believed at any time. Shame on the West Virginia voters for repeatedly electing this slime ball Manchin. He is a democrat communist Senator and will vote to destroy our Republic. A traitor and liar.

manchin always talks a good game, but cannot be relied upon for anything.
He does have a dughter with a fake executive MBA, who is Chief Operating officer of a drug manufacturer. She is the one who gouged organizations around the country for her epi-pen, when she increased the price of it from 7 dollars to 700 dollars.
she is so corrupt and money hungry, I wonder if she was born a Biden.

Joe was a decent governor in West Virginia, but when he moved to DC he seemed to get too cozy with Chuck. He voted to impeach Trump, and voted against Amy Barrett. Both of these votes were not popular because West Virginia is a bright red state. Trump got almost 70 percent of the vote in 2016 and 2020, and EVERY COUNTY of the state was red both elections--all 55 counties! I don't know any state that can claim that. The state's three congressional representatives are republican, and the other senator is also republican. Joe is the only active democrat to be found in elective office representing that state, both at the national and state level. He knows which way the political wind is blowing, and as such recognizes that a vote to pack the court, end the filibuster, or add additional states will end his political career and threaten his health and safety were he to return to the Mountain State.

Manchin is anti-Second Amendment, he voted for state run health care, he voted to remove President Trump from office. Manchin is a democrat. He cannot be trusted.

Another talker pol. Who knows what he'll really do if the time comes.
That said, I've wondered many times over the last few years, why hasn't this guy switch parties? WVa hasn't been a NOT a Dem state since Manchin left the governor's office. The current WVa governor DID switch parties. The voters don't seem to care which party he's a member of, they like him.

I don’t believe this guy for one minute. He reminds me of Lloyd Doggett in the House from Texas, who talks the same way, yet always comes down on the side of the Democrats. See No’s. 6 and 8 above. Manchin talks a good game, but is another Deep Stater as far as I’m concerned.

Let's see here.
Did Manchin vote against the phony baloney articles of impeachment? Nope, he voted for.
Did Manchin vote to approve the nomination of Justice Barrett to SCOTUS? Nope, he voted against.
As my dear departed Irish Catholic mother used to say, Talk is cheap. It takes money to buy whiskey.

I believe the definitive observation about what one can reasonably expect from any Democrat was made by Mollie Hemmingway of the Federalist..."they lie, they lie, they lie, and then they lie."

Joe Manchin blows with the wind. I am a resident of West Virginia who knows that Manchin, in the 1990's, when he was running for governor, had a 100% prolife voting record. He is down to 25%. He sunk to this level as a result of going to Washington, DC. He has been photographed showing support for Planned Parenthood. How can he be trusted?

Promises, promises. Manchin will say whatever it takes to stay in office. He is the complete politician... but look how he really always votes. No matter the ugliness of the bill, he votes with the Dems.

Am I the only one who thinks that Shumer put him up to saying this? He'll have ads in Georgia before long. Story elsewhere says Biden got more than 95,000 votes than the Senate candidates. Look for more skulduggery in January.

Fairly certain Joe Manchin has a price. Anyone that meets it has his vote. Manchin says 'No'? Sounds like he is negotiating.

He is just trying to downplay the aspect of the Democrats controlling the US Senate, and is trying to help the two Democrats in the Georgia runoffs win their elections which would give the Democrats control of the Senate. remember when any issue comes before the Senate, Manchin as he has done before, could easily change his mind and vote for the radical Democrat initiatives that would change America. Even a moron should be able to figure that out.

#11, Romney may not have been Trump's pick for any cabinet position, but Joe Biden does not have Trump's discernment. Maybe we won't have to worry about Mitt in the Senate much longer, if Joke Biden manages to get past the Electoral College and the House of Representatives.

#25 ... I like the way you think. If Biden gets in, let's push Romney for some position. Ambassador to Antartica, whatever. Then the GOP Gov of Utah can appoint a real conservative Republican to the Senate.

Joe Manchin is a liar always was always will be. He promises and then votes with Chuckie. Mark my words the only vote he ever casts is a meaningless one to make himself look the hero. He is told when he can vote for the other side. It is a game that democrats like to play with excess votes to make it look like some of their Marxists are moderates.
